Guess whose camera made it back home!!  Yup, mine :)  My thanks to the kind people who saw to it’s safe return.  I didn’t waste a moment photographing a card I had ready to show.  Sporting new Our Daily Bread Stamps, this is one of the new August releases called Jesus.  Layering a couple of Spellbinders die templates, I started with Spellbinders Classic Frame, Spellbinders Labels 5, Spellbinders Classic Ovals Large and Spellbinders Classic Ovals Small.  The elegant border along the bottom is Spellbinders Grand 12" Classic Lace Border.

To begin, I laid down the Grand Lace border.  Once cut, I layered the frame, followed by Labels 5 and topped it with the ovals. With the paper still in my Spellbinders die template (on Labels 5 and Ovals), I traced the inside of the template with a gold pen just to add some additional framing.

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Our Daily Bread Designs
Paper:  K & Co., The Paper Company
Ink:  Colorbox Chalk Ink – Wisteria
Accessories:
Spellbinders Classic Frame, Spellbinders Labels 5, Spellbinders Classic Ovals Large , Spellbinders Classic Ovals Small, Spellbinders Grand 12" Classic Lace Border, gold pen, gold Ribbon, pearls

I hope to be back later today with some CHA pictures, better late than never, hunh?

I don’t know what is more beautiful about your cards. The layouts are always perfect, the words are always inspiring, the bows are always perfect, the attention to detail blows me away.ReplyCancel

I love this tri-fold card format.  I sneak peeked of a small portion of this picture a couple of months ago and have pulled the entire thing out of my stash to show.   For those who have not tried it, you can find the technique on Splitcoast HERE.  I worked with vintage papers from K & Company’s Life’s Journey and a lace that I rescued from one of my sewing mishaps *wink*.   I love the filigree element – another fab find from the aisles of Hobby Lobby Jewelry department.

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz Collection
Paper:  K & Co – Life’s Journey
Ink:  Distress Ink – Scattered Straw, Distress Ink – Brushed Corduroy
Accessories:  Spellbinders Fancy Scalloped Pierceability, Ribbon, Crocheted Lace, Velvet Ribbon, Leaves, Pearls, Filigree Jewelry Finding – Hobby Lobby

Hope you are having an awesome week!

Also I would like to say that i received my Card Maker magazine yesterday and in side the front cover is an advertisement from Spellbinders and a beautiful card made by you. ETA:  This card didn’t post at its scheduled time, but I still wanted to share the card with you :)

Has any one noticed that all of the Christmas supplies are already out at Hobby Lobby?  For crying out loud, I love Christmas and they are making me want to drop everything and start decorating hehe!!!   My poor family, they don’t know what to expect from me, but little do they know that my Christmas stuff may go up in October :)  Thanks goodness Magnolia is having a Christmas in July challenge over at the Magnolia-licious Highlites site, I posted this card.  This frame seemed the perfect place to perch for #311 Tilda in Winter Stockings and the frame is Spellbinders Poinsettia Frameabilities.

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Magnolia – #311 Tilda in Winter Stockings
Paper:  Bazzill, The Paper Company
Ink:  Colorbox Chalk Ink – Dark Moss
Accessories:  Spellbinders Poinsettia Frameabilities, Martha Stewart Circle Cutter, Gold Half Pearls, Ribbon, Prima Flowers, Brad, Copics

I backed up the frame with a circle cut with a new tool I have – a Martha Stewart circle cutter.  It will cut a circle up to a 5.5" diameter.  I typically use Spellbinders for the smaller circles and found this tool to come in handy for the larger ones.  I would rarely do one over 6" in diameter, so this tool is hanging close by.  I have other circle cutters but can I say that I’m circle challenged?  For the  Poinsettia Frameabilities, I did the reverse stencil technique using chalk ink and came out with a fairly nice opaque coverage for a one color reverse of the frame.   Not familiar with reverse stencil?   I cover it in previous posts HERE.  Tilda is colored with Copics and yes, the new lighter colors are a dream; you can get them HERE.

Thanks for stopping by!

Never amazes me that each year the Christmas Decorations come out earlier and earlier! At some point I am sure we will see them year round! If we had a house big enough we could have a room for each holiday and just leave it decorated. Then whatever mood you were in, you could just go sit in that room!!
