This totally slipped past me but I did not get an email from the first persons name that was pulled, so I’ve pulled another name for the Blog Candy being offered by Our Daily Bread Designs.

And, the winner is . . .

Donna, please email me with your snail mail address and note which set you would like to have sent out to you.  If there is no response from the winner, I’ll pick again on Tuesday, October 28th at 9:00am EST using Random.org.

On another note. . .did you know that a new release from Our Daily Bread Designs will be breaking on November 1st?  Yep, we’ll be sporting three new sets and if you check among the Design Team for ODBD, this week you’ll be seeing some pretty nifty sneak peeks!

ETA:  Donna, thanks for getting your information to me so quickly.  Your new set from Our Daily Bread Designs will be coming your way soon!!

Hi Everybody, no card today but I wanted to let you know that today I spent a little bit of time trying to figure out what happened at Feedblitz.   I had about 650 email subscribers at the beginning of the week and today it was down to about 530, another 50 – 60 were being classified as undeliverable.  What!!?!  I looked at the list and about one hundred of you were in the waiting to be deleted queue.  I looked at the list of people and some of my very best friends and most diehard lovely fans were on the list.  I was distressed!!!  Then more distressed because I don’t know how long things have been going awry – I rarely log in and look at Feedblitz stats.  I lose a subscriber every now and again, but it’s never more than a handful.

I reinstated as many as I could – it seems that they have to be done one by one, aaarrrgghh!!  I will also be checking Feedblitz on a daily basis, I’ve never had a problem before, but want to make sure everything returns to normal.  I would ask you to please check your subscriptions.  If was your desire to have AmazingPaperGrace included in your daily Feedblitz, please sign up again if the subscription no longer appears on your list.  Email me from my contact page if you are having any problems.  I can also check any name that is sent to me to make sure it still is active or not.

If you have a blog and had the same experience as me, I’d love to know and hope you’ll leave a comment so that if we have the same subscribers they’ll know to check your subscription too!  I sent nice but pretty lengthy note to Support at Feedblitz, and would encourage any other blogger that had the same experience to send an email as well; feel free to note my loss as well if it helps.    If there are similar experiences out there that are reported to Feedblitz, I’m sure it will help them identify the source of the problem and rule out individual blogs.

Please note the problem referred to was with Feedblitz (which are email subscriptions).  There is currently no problem with Feedburner (subscriptions through your reader).

ETA:  Giving credit where credit is due!!  I received a prompt email from Feedblitz explaining that a server was having issues and that all should be restored now.    Thank you Feedblitz for your speedy assistance.

  • Beth NormanOctober 20, 2008 - 8:13 am

Gosh, that isn’t good. When I was on blogger I noticed the same thing, but didn’t know what to do. I left it alone and it self corrected. It is indeed strange. Don’t worry, if I think I’m missing your subscription, I will scout you out–you can’t hide from me–LOL!ReplyCancel

Wow Becca – I love your cards and I especially love that I still seem to be subscribed though I didn’t get the Oct. 20th entry emailed to me.

Just to be on the safe side I went through the sign up process anyway. And there I discovered a box to be checked I’ve never seen before: ” I confirm it is my choice to subscribe to this newsletter” if yes check the box and the subscription answer came back after the second attempt (second because I hadn’t noticed the box waiting to be checked) that I was already subscribed! Yay!!

I would hate to miss your wonderful creative talents.

    Thanks for sharing – JeanReplyCancel

I made this card to send off for a dear friend that recently sent out a plea for help.   I hope she is reading so that she can see the card I’ll be sending to her mother. She has just been diagnosed with cancer and I wanted to find something boldy optimistic.   I will definitely be praying for her and I hope the words will give her some strength.  I’ve pulled together some scripture to tuck inside with my handwritten note.

The card is fairly straight forward.  This is the coolest paper!! The design paper has sparkly polka dots and the other deep pink piece of paper has holes in it!

ETA:  Some have asked where to get this stamp.  I purchased at Hobby Lobby however I have seen it online HERE.

Supplies:
Stamps:  Paper Inspirations – Survivor Calligraphy
Paper:  Making Memories – Sparkly Polka Dot; Creative Inspirations
Ink:   Colorbox Chalk Inks – Orchid Pastel
Accessories:  Nestabilities – Long Classic Scallop Rectangle, Prima Flowers, Dew Drop, Crystal Brad, White Brads Ribbon

Don’t forget to leave a comment for blog candy on this post sometime before noon CST on Saturday, 10/18/08!!

Hi, Becca.. This is a gorgeous cad, and I’m sure your friend’s mother will appreciate it.

I hope she knows that cancer is not always a killer. I have had breast cancer twice in the past seven years and had a double mastectomy, and the first time, it took nine months to get the doctors to agree there was something wrong. No, the surgery and treatment have not been pleasant experiences, but now my prognosis is excellent. It is not going to kill me.

It’s not great news, but I hope your friend’s mother knows that a diagnosis is not necessarily a death sentence. It is just the beginning of the fight.

I pray that she will have the support she needs to help her get through this to the other side.

    Hugs,
    Chris xxReplyCancel

A prayer for a complete recovery for your friend’s mother going up right now. I know that the card will bless her, but even more, she will find great comfort and strength in the scriptures enclosed in your card. May God bless her, strengthen her, gird her for the battle ahead, and fill her with great faith, courage, and hope.

Your card is really beautiful Becca- outside and inside.
