Sweet friends, so sorry for the late post — I couldn’t let you come today without having something crafty to show, so I sat down to make a card before answering all the remaining questions there were left in comments on the last post :-) Hang on until the end of the post for the winner information in the mean time, thank you for all the comments about my storage. The Question Parking Lot will be featured at the end of appropriate posts going forward so that everyone can benefit from the answers. Today, I’m sharing a card that will work well in memorial and will work very well for the upcoming holiday. It’s a new sentiment from Quietfire Design Garden Bench Collection; it’s simple and it’s classic. When I looked through my stash, this was one I did not have. Although I’m not a scrapbooker per se, I’m thinking about doing some memorial pages because this stamp will work into what I had in mind fabulously.
Here’s how I made it – step by step:
I started out with a card base sized at 5-1/2″ x 7-1/2″. After embossing a panel using Spellbinders Labels Thirty Four Medallion, I trimmed the panel down to 5″ x 7″, attached ribbon on the right side and adhered with foam tape. I added a new die cut layer using Spellbinders Labels Twenty Nine and adhered it with foam tape. The next die cut layer was cut using Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles Two; my sentiment was stamped before adhering with a double layer of foam tape. The last die cut layer was cut using Spellbinders Radiant Rectangles. I finished up with a sprig of pearls, a silk bow and an oval pearl brad.

Hi friends, it’s not very often that I have something that I term a masculine card to share — today I do. In fact, this is a simple go to card that I can do at any time just to say thanks. I chose a new stamp by Quietfire Design that has a calligraphy ‘Thanks’, but the ‘t’ is hollowed out, hence the name Fill ‘Er Up ‘T‘ . I thought it would be an excellent opportunity to fill it with some texture and also use the texture as a background so I picked a small pattern in Spellbinders So Trendy embossing folder – Side B. I cut out the hollow part of the ‘t’ but it would have been just as easy to cut it out and simply pop it on top.
Here’s how I made it – step by step:
I started out with a 4-7/8″ x 6″. Using a Krylon pen, I edged a panel cut to 4-1/4″ x 5-3/8″ and embossed a panel using So Trendy Embossing Folder cut to just under the same size. I added the top part of Spellbinders 5 x 7 Heirloom Legacy to the top of the panel before adhering with a double layer of foam tape. Next I added a die cut layer using Spellbinders Decorative Labels Thirty Four – adhered with foam tape and finished with my sentiment stamped on a die cut layer using Spellbinders Labels Thirty Four, rimmed with Gold Krylon Pen, adhered with foam tape.
Come see me tomorrow. I’ve been promising to show you the area that I store my dies in and I finally got pictures!! Also, I’m kicking off a new Blog Candy for clear cases!
Hey there friends! I hope you had a beautiful Mothers Day! I had a card to upload yesterday but the events of the day had me wrapped up in some sweet distractions. I’m back today with another Quietfire Design card! I flat out love the new sentiments and the one I’m using today is from the If You Don’t Believe in Miracles set. Trust me, it will grace many cards in the future, and of course, I believe in miracles :-)
Here’s how I made it – step by step:
Starting out with a card base 5-1/8″x 6-1/2″, I added a panel from cream cut to 4-1/2″ x 5-5/8″. Behind my panel at the top I put Spellbinders A2 Scalloped Borders One then this layer was adhered to base with foam tape. I added a new panel from digital paper, stamped on and cut to 4″ x 5-1/4″. Next I added a panel cut with Spellbinders A2 Divine Eloquence and Spellbinders Labels 28 at the same time. Before taking the paper out of the die I smudged pink ink between the two dies to create a border. Then I cut Spellbinders Rose Medallion and wrapped it around my focal panel then this layer was adhered to base with two layers of foam tape. I finished with a grosgrain bow and some pearls.
Have a great week, sweeties! I’ll see you soon!
