I have more to show from the new releases for  Waltzingmouse Stamps.  This set is as cute as the dickens and so sweetly whimsical.    Although my son is a young man on his own, I’m saving it for him for just the right occasion.  He always makes me proud but I can just imagine his face when he gets this for something that deserves a little shout out.  The thing is, I don’t know who this would go over better for, the little boy or the young man?  I think I’d like to try it both ways to find out!  The set is Half Pint Heroes and it will be available on Friday, November 2nd.  I put it together using Spellbinders™ Ribbon Banners LG and stamped the little boy on a layer of Spellbinders™ Classic Ovals LG and  Spellbinders™ Classic Ovals SM.  The sentiments fit perfectly on Spellbinders™ Nested Lacey Pennants.

Frankly, some of you just won’t know what to think . . . no bow, no flower – just sayin’ . . . I did it!!

SUPPLIES I USED
Stamps: Waltzingmouse Stamps – Half Pint Heroes Addition
Paper: Bazzill, Echo Park – Times & Seasons
Ink: Versafine – Onyx Black
Accessories:  Spellbinders™ Classic Ovals SM, Spellbinders™ Nested Lacey Pennants, Spellbinders™ Ribbon Banners LG, button

Well, today is the ‘anniversary’ and I have to say it’s a good day – no tears just good memories.  Thanks for the emails :-)   More than anything I’m so grateful that I’m still crafting it has surely made the time fly.  So, another Christmas card for the stash – I’d say I’m making a little headway!   I love silver and white pairings so I decided to try a little clean and simple.  This JustRite Papercraft stamp set – Holiday Cheer Ornaments was perfect for detail embossing  and it just so happens to match Spellbinders™ 2010 Heirloom Ornament.  I wanted a little bit of dimension so I cut four of Spellbinders™ 2011 Heirloom Ornaments and folded them in half for a mini ornament embellishment that folds flat.

I raided my stash of silver reflective paper and pulled out the white lace and pearls then finished up with a seam binding bow and a tiny silver snowflake at the top using Spellbinders™ Create A Flake Four.    Quick and simple :-)

SUPPLIES I USED
Stamps: JustRite Papercrafts – Holiday Cheer Ornaments
Paper: Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Silver Reflective Paper (Stash)
Ink: Versamark and Silver Detail Embossing Powder
Accessories:  Spellbinders™ 2010 Heirloom OrnamentSpellbinders™ 2011 Heirloom OrnamentSpellbinders™ Create A Flake Fourseam binding,  Recollections Pearls, Spare Parts Crystal Brad

Hope you are having a glorious day!!  See you soon!

Okay, I’ve ordered all the dies and stamps to make this card. Just had to come back and make another comment today. My September and October kits just arrived in today’s mail (I’m in Toronto and there was a mix up but SO worth the wait).
I’m literally smiling from ear to ear sitting by myself in my craft room. The kits are GORGEOUS. All the supplies, all together, all with beautiful instructions. I can’t wait to start creating. And it’s so cool to have stickers with your logo wrapping everything up. Between your Bow Maker, these kits, and all the supplies I’ve bought to make your beautiful cards, I’m going to have to hide my Mastercard bill, but oh, so worth it! Thank you. Thank you.ReplyCancel

    Dearest Becca,
I am glad the you are doing well today. “The anniversary” will come in January for me and it will be # 2. My dear husband’s birthday was Oct. 19th and it also is my son’s birthday. They both loved hunting so my son went hunting and he says that he reflects on things while he is in the woods where it is quiet and peaceful. I have something new to help occupy my thoughts this year as I had my first great child “a boy” born on Oct. 18th. He is my daughter’s grandbaby and he is beautiful, as a matter of fact it is a little difficult to type while he is laying in my lap at this moment. I heard that you can’t spoil a newborn but today I think that I am going to disagree with that statement. His mom is napping and every time I lay him down he crys. Oh well I will just have to suffer through holding him, lol.
The card today is beautiful, as usual.
    Hugs, FayeReplyCancel

  • Dottie DavisOctober 31, 2012 - 4:05 pm

Glad to hear you are doing well during this time. Going through such a loss brings surprising moments of mourning, but it is all good. We would be heartless people if we didn’t have those emotions. Someone once told me it takes 5 years to sort out the loss and come to a level place again. I will agree with that! God is in it all to heal and restore.
As for y our beautiful creation … it is a stunning card. I love the black and whites and silvers; I, too, have been raiding my stash looking for shiny silver paper on just this very day! This is a big boon to me for another idea! Thank you for sharing it with us.ReplyCancel

As I mentioned in an earlier comment I only discovered your “amazing” blog in the past week so was not aware until today that the anniversary to which you referred was that of your husband’s death. The loss of a loved one is always difficult so it was good to read that so far it has been a good day and that it has been one filled with fond and treasured memories.

As for your card – it is absolutely stunning. There’s something really special about a White and Silver card – so elegant! You have such a wonderful talent Becca and I count myself fortunate that I discovered your blog.ReplyCancel

This week is a release week for Waltzingmouse Stamps with new sets – in time for Christmas too.  Today I have a very traditional card using a new set called Compliments of the Season 2.  Today is just a preview and the full sets will be released and available on Friday,November 2nd.  Using the vintage looking ‘Merry Christmas sentiment’, I stacked it on Spellbinders™ Classic Ovals SM and stacked that on Spellbinders™ Floral Ovals.  The bottom of the card is embellished with one of my favorite flowers – Spellbinders™ Jewel Flowers and Flourishes.

The flowers are formed by burnishing with the end of a stylus with a large ball end.  McGill has a nice set that I reach for often.

(I love how I can get a couple of different looks out of that flower!)

SUPPLIES I USED
Stamps: Waltzingmouse Stamps – Compliments of the Season 2
Paper: Neenah Classic Crest Cream 80lb, Authentique – Merry
Ink: Colorbox – Chianti
Accessories:  Spellbinders™ Classic Ovals SMSpellbinders™ Floral Ovals,   Spellbinders™ Jewel Flowers and Flourishes, Satin Ribbon, Recollections Pearls

Here are other design team members who have created items with the new set:

Bonnie Sharp • Lynn Mercurio  • Belinda Change Langner • Sarah Martina Parker • Tosha Leyendekker • Anya Schrier • Kelly Schirmer • Sandie Dunne • Clare Buswell • Julia Aston • Jennifer Holmes • Laurie Schmidlin • Claire Brennan

See you soon!!

By the way, for what it is worth-not much, I know- I wish your monthly kit plan were available on an every other month basis. The price is a little steep for me. If I could split the cost into 2 months, I’d get on board.ReplyCancel
