Hi there blog friends!! Good Monday morning to you!! I spent some time yesterday remembering those lost during 9/11 It’s hard to believe that 10 years have gone by. As I watched some of the programming I think I was sitting there in disbelief yet again. Wow, that really happened! My heart certainly goes out to the survivors, and I thought how hard it must be to see the events relived on television again and again. Continued prayer. I did have some time to play last night and pulled together a quick card for today. Lol, not sure why my hand keeps picking green but it’s a phase I’ll live with for now. I picked another sentiment from one of the new releases with Our Daily Bread Designs called The Good Seed. I interlocked three circles made using Spellbinders™ Picot Edge Circles and Spellbinders™ Standard Circles SM. The circles are secured by a dovetailed strip of paper that I then secured with a pearl brad. On the bottom I edged using Spellbinders™ Classic Scallop Edgeabilities.
I kept some wide lace on the bottom layer and glued a bow on the upper layer and secured it with a decorative head pin that I got at Michaels (Bead Landing). I’m feeling so good, I got my paper organized and went through all my Spellbinders, labeled their cases and pulled out the old ones I no longer use. I had a happy dance after a productive afternoon and was tickled to sit down and make a card with my easy to reach tools :-) Just a small dent in the list, I’m on to what’s next!

What a gorgeous, unique card you’ve shared today! I cannot imagine ever getting “rid of” my Nesties of any age, though I imagine IF I had all the newest latest and greatest, “maybe” I could remove some older ones to a less-handy location?!!! I’m just sooo attached to all of them–LOL!

I always feel better when I take the time to organize my craft area. There’s nothing more annoying than spending more time looking for supplies than crafting. I love your use of the circles. I had been considering buying them, and this helped me decide. Weaving the sentiment between them makes it look completely unlike 3 circles.

I watched a lot of the coverage of 911 yesterday as well and I was struck by the same feelings you had Becca. It was hard to see it again and I can’t imagine how the families of those who directly lost someone could watch that over and over.
This card is absolutely fabulous! Your use of that sentiment banner woven in through the circles is so innovative!

With all the cards you make, it’s amazing that you do not duplicate previous designs. You keep renewing yourself with resulting fresh creations. It’s truly a marvel and the nicest thing about it, is that you are kind enough to share it with us mere mortals.
What really grabbed my interested in this card was the three circles, the banner and the ribbon treatment. Imagine … thinking up this. It’s brilliant and beautiful.

Ah, Becca, this is lovely! Don’t you love that long crystal? I have some of those but I see that you took the head pin out and placed it on a decorated pin… Love that!
Well aren’t you the clever one!! This is really beyond creative Becca. You would make a wonderful design engineer but don’t get any ideas cause we love all the inspiration you bring to us here. Love this so much. I want your stash of lace or stores that you are able to find these in. I never find the beautiful selection that you have were you live. Craft items are so hard to find here in San Diego. When I lived in No. California we had so many craft and fabric stores to choose from. Really miss that. I am just thankful for the internet. Even though I watched and watched in 2001, I couldn’t bring myself to watch any of the memorials–I had purchased one of the large memorial magazines last week and just looking at the photos had me crying.

WOW….this is sooo beautiful…..your creations really has shown me another way to display a creative style of making cards without necessarily using cricut cartridges….and your cards are also very classy….keep the great ideas coming.

Love the way you used your ribbon/sentiment to anchor the 3 picot circles! Awhile ago you said that you were working on a new bow…how’s it coming along?? Glad that you’re happy with the way that your studio cleanout/up is going. I really need to do that, but I keep getting distracted and making cards instead! Besides I’m half afraid that if I clean it all up and organize it I’ll never find anything again! It may be messy, but believe it or not I know where 98% of everything is!

I too spent a while thinking about 9/11. I was in your country at the time and at 9.00am one morning we were going out for breakfast and had the radio on in the car and then we heard the words “America is at war” repeated over and over again….we could only look at each other in disbelief! and then we heard what had happened….what a cold chill went through us! It took another five days to get us out of the country and flown back home to the U.K. in the company of a Jet Fighter plane….so frightening…..at least we got home, so many people didn’t and our thought still go out to the families of those who perished.
I have those spellbinder dies you have used on this card but have never used them like you have, I will do that next time I use them….thank you for the inspiration Becca.
