This week is Impression-Obsession week over at Stamper’s Dream. I’m tickled to be able to join the Dream Team for the first time and this week has seen a steady stream of fabulous cards from all. I love this Shuttered Window Box, it’s going on my favorites list along with many of the other images that Gary Robertson has drawn for Impression-Obsession. Because of the shading accents he adds in his drawing, coloring this is up very easy. I colored it with my Tombow markers using two shades of brown and then multiple colors for the flowers.
For my sentiment I used some rub-on letters to spell out dearly loved and framed them with the Chatterbox Easy Bradmaker Kit – holey moley that kit is neat. Just for frame of reference, that brad is roughly the size of a quarter. For the vine growing out from behind the window I used a Quikutz swirl diecut from my stash and the tiny flowers are made with the Martha Stewart Three in one Hydrangea Punch.
Card Recipe: Stamps: Impression-Obsession Paper: K & Co., Bazzill, The Paper Company – Kraft Ink: Versafine – Black Onyx Accessories: Tombow Markers, Aquapainter, Quikutz, Chatterbox Easy Bradmaker, Martha Stewart Three in one Hydrangea, Martha Stewart Arch Lattice Border Punch, pearls, brads, ribbon |

Such a beautiful card as yours always are! I loved the shutter and especially the heart brackets on the flower box. Have a blessed day!
Absolutely gorgeous Becca!!! Love all the fabulous details of the distressed beauty!!
i love this beautiful card!….but HOW BIG IS IT???? the shutters themselves are pretty big (3 1/4 x 4 1/4″)….that’s nearly an A2 card all by themselves!
are all the cards you make larger than A2? that could be helpful info for those of us looking at certain stamps, etc.
tfs, sandyh

I love this stamp when I first saw it, of coarse after seeing what you did with it here it is on my list of “most haves” :)
All I can say is WOW
your art work is always stunning but this is wonderful
Beautiful card, as usual!! The rub on letters reminded me of a project that I did for my Mom many years ago, before the computer age. I bought her a new address book, and used rub-on letters to put every name and address she had in it for her. I thought it looked better than the typewriter!! I guess I had more time on my hands than I do now with 3 boys!!
WOW!! Love what you’ve done with this image, Becca! Your card is so rich with detail! I’m just going to have to sit and stare awhile!
Lovely card Becca! That window is going to be on my wishlist, too!
Oh my such a lovely scene, love the colors, gives it an old world feel, and the vines with the flowers is such a great touch!
I haven’t visited your blog in a while and am kicking myself for all that I’ve missed! This is a glorious card, as are all your others. This one, though, brought tears to my eyes because it seems like a wonderfully fitting sympathy card and would have been ideal in the recent death of my dearest friend and fellow stamper. I’m at the stage of life where sympathy cards are needed with more and more frequency. This is not mentioned to quell enthusiasm but to let you know how your artistry is appreciated and appropriate for all kinds of purposes. You are an inspiration!
This is so beautiful. It brought back memories of my childhood. You are talented. I was just looking for paper crafting stuff I can add to my collection and I saw this blog and I couldn’t leave anymore. Woderful work! One of the best I’ve seen.
