It’s a clean and simple die that converts to an intricate die . . . it’s an A2 die that converts to an A7 die. Guess who has a new collection of convertible dies? That’s right, Me! Flourishing Fretwork debuts on Hochanda on February 16th and 17th, 2020. Yep, I’m so tickled that Hochanda will be showcasing my new collection of “convertible” dies. They will be a lovely addition to the Amazing Paper Grace Collections.
I set out to satisfy a number of groups with this die collection. The die can be cut with an intricate presentation, the die can be cut with a solid interior for a simple presentation, then die also has a label shape. The collection has 6 dies and most follow this concept. One of the sets I call my Swiss Army Knife . . . it has a beautiful motif with room for a one line sentiment and then you also get a stamp set with 12 ‘go to’ often needed sentiments.
For this collection, I’ve even given you some new label shapes. Then this is the big thing – these dies are actually sized to be A2 dies (can you believe it?) But, they transition very easily to A7 cards. :-)

My A7 Hello Card
Today I’m showing you an A7 Card and a little A2 Card as a sneak peek. Be sure to tune in to the show so you can see more lovely samples.
I’m starting out with the A7 card I made. I layered it with two more cuts of the frame. Do you recognize the flower? Sweet Cottage Flowers is my favorite easy flower right now and I have a video outlining how to make this flower in two ways, watch Sweet Cottage Flowers on YouTube.
I loved being able to slot in one of the 12 sentiments from my “Swiss Army Knife” set. All Occasion Sentiments Stamp and Die Set is the name of this all around, go to set.
My A2 Card
Here is the A2 card . . .uh-hunh, this the second one I’ve made this week. It’s probably the fifth one I’ve made in my life. I actually love how quickly this came together. Seriously, the die does all the work and I think makes me look like I fussed. :-) Oh, and check out the fact that this lovely sentiment from Quietfire Design fit the motif so fabulously. Home is the Heart of Life is one of my favorite Quietfire sentiments. :-)
I did it in my favorite pink gingham. I’m so tickled that I could build in so many of the things you all have requested.
For this card I simply used the card base. Sentimental Finery is the name of this set.
Okay so once you see everything, I’m dying to know what you think.
It’s been a stellar month (except for the flu). But it’s been great to play in the background with things that are coming available this month like February 2020 Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month and the Flourishing Fretwork Collection :-) You know I love designing dies and I love my papercrafting friends. As always, thanks for stopping by. You keep me grounded and I appreciate take time to say hi :-) Mwah!!

Thank you so much Pat, it means a lot to hear that :-)
I love how you call your cards clean and simple. They are totally glam and in a league of their own. I think I’m about to bust into my 3rd drawer full of APG goodness ? I can’t wait to get this collection. I am one of those A2 junkies. Thank you for dipping your toes in this world ?
Hugs, Diana
Diana, it’s people like you that tickle my heart every day. Thank you so much for your kind words and sharing your thoughts. I never thought I’d have a set of A2 dies but so many of my tribe asked me to try and I do so want everyone to feel loved :-)
Not sure why the ? are part of my comments. I had emojis inserted. They were High Five and a Heart.
Have a great weekend.

Lovely die will try to watch on computer.
Thank you so much Barbara :-)
Such versatility. I love the very plain version of the die – just with the embossing accentuating the shape. Hope the shows go well!

Absolutely beautiful cards! Love your dies, bows and embellishments, oh Becca your cards and creations are always heartwarming?
Hi Marilyn, thank you for your sweet words. What a kind complement to call my creations heartwarming. I’ve not heard it with that term and my goodness, that makes me feel so appreciated and I’m grateful!!
Oh my, love these dies. I am an A2 junkie. The flowers are to die for.
Thank you Lynn. I’m glad to have some A2 cards coming and especially glad for those of you who ask. As always, I appreciate your sweet words.
Where can I buy this die from?
Hi Gillian:
You can order this die from Hochanda beginning tomorrow.
Beginning on March 10th you can order it on the Spellbinders website. You can even set a notification so that when they have it in stock, you will get an email.
Hope this helps!
What a beautiful card…just loving it…
Thank you sweet friend! I hope you are doing well Margie :-)
Love the different shape of the inside! It brings you eye in! You are so clever and talented!!
Beverly thank you so much! I’m always looking for something different :-)
Good morning Becca and congratulations on yet another beautiful die, and your display cards are beautiful. I am confused by the actual size that an A2 card is. We work on metric in Australia, and an A4 is approximately 20×30, an A3 (40×30), an A2, 60×60 etc, so I don’t know what size your A2 card would be. I must have missed this Measurement Table somewhere in my many years of card making. I will have to do some research.
I bought another of your beautiful dies last week, but haven’t had the chance to experiment yet.
Lots of love,. I really love receiving your emails, and love that you take time to reply when you can. Makes the person posting feel special.
Bless you, Jan from Australia
Hey Jan,
I don’t know if card sizes are truly consistent across the world but I believe A2 in inches is 4.25 inches by 5.5 inches :-) Lol, I had to look it up quite a few times when writing my post. As always thanks for your kind words!
Bless you too my friend!
Thanks Becca for giving me A2 sizes. Much appreciated.
Jan
Gorgeous and elegant cards, Becca! Love that this is a versatile and convertible die that can be used for A7 and A2 cards! Your intricate designs are always so romantic and they make it look like you spent hours creating a card! Hope you feel better soon. Hugs and blessings, Christine
Christine, thank you so very much. Sometimes cards take a little bit but this one was very quick – like maybe an hour and a half. Either way, I so enjoy the time spent, its therapeutic :-)
