Can I just say that you never really understand how irretrievably tied your life is to the internet until it is down? Anyone else having issues? I’ve been down going on two days. I’ve been able to grab a snippet here or there with my phone – thank goodness for that! That leads me to the card I created today – There is always something to be thankful for :-) This Quietfire Design sentiment from the Give Thanks Set pretty much sums it up! In my area nature is so aware that summer is waning and this weekend delivered one of the most beautiful days I’ve ever seen. I was up and outside earlier this morning as well and after sweltering through the last couple of months, there’s just a hint of chill and a calming breeze to signal the start of fall. Perhaps my internet troubles are some kind of conspiracy to make me go outside and savor this brief turn in the weather – what do you think?
This is the simplest card ever and it makes use of the embellishment pieces that don’t always get used. With a 6″ x 6″ base I stamped my sentiment in the center of the the card. I cut a frame on another panel 5-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ by using the jagged center piece from Spellbinders Imperial Square. For the wonderful filigree border around I used one of the corner pieces cut eight times and simply glued around the edge (with Ranger Glossy Accents) with the flat side facing out. For embellishment, a bow and flowers made using Spellbinders Layered Poinsettia . . . tada!
Rubber Stamps: Quietfire Design – Give Thanks Set
Craft Paper: Neenah Classic Crest – Natural White 80lb Smooth, Speckled Cover
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black, Versamark
Accessories: Spellbinders Imperial Square, Spellbinders Layered Poinsettia, Corsage Pin, ButtonHoping all is well and that life is beautiful where ever you are!
Love the tan brown background and white lace die cut with the flowers over it..
The internet has NOT been down. Your provider is having issues, getting you connected to the internet. You have to have an alternate way to access it, however.
Lovely card. I always like the way you use the accent pieces from a die to make a lovely frame.
This is beautiful Becca. I love the muted shades you have used and the sentiment is lovely. We don’t always appreciate what is around us. I live in a beautiful area and I hope never become blasé about the wonderful views and countryside surrounding us. Hugs Christine xx
Simply beautiful & elegant, Becca. Love how you combine dies in unordinary ways.
Very pretty card, Becca. I like how you have looped the corner dies together and as always, created such a pretty bow!
Hi Becca. Are your new dies being announced today?
Simple elegance!
I love the colors you used. Is there such a thing as non-glossy accents? I love the strength of the glue, but would really prefer a matte glue. And I sure wish the tip wouldn’t clog up so much! Great stuff but not perfect…
Have you tried Ranger’s Multi Medium Matte? It’s super strong like Glossy Accents but dries to a matte finish that isn’t as noticeable. I’m not the neatest with liquid type glues so I also appreciate it not being so obvious when I get glue “outside the lines.”
Hello Becca,
You have worked your magic as usual. This card is glorious, and the sentiment is correct. There is always something for which we should be thankful.
Love Maureen xx
Hello Becca
Here in the UK it is very wet and windy apparently its the remnants of Hurricane Henri!
This is a really beautiful card and I love the sentiment.
Your flowers are so pretty, but I can’t manage to make them look like yours!
Thanks for more inspiration Becca!
Take care
Love Marg
Beautiful card! Sentiment is perfect. Thanks for sharing.
You are just so brilliant! This card is wonderful. I love how you used the “extra” pieces that we never know what to with. What a great idea to use them as a border! Thank you so much, Becca, for sharing this great idea!!
Sorry your internet is acting up! Not nice!!! I’m lost without the internet. It’s terrible how dependent I’ve become on technology…
I get panicky when the internet is down. It’s my lifeline.
I’m widowed and the kids have their own lives so I don’t have a lot of physical interaction with others. The ‘net gives me a chance to communicate with friends who are far away, with bloggers like yourself, and to get information I might need.
Love your card. The lattice work is beautiful.
thanks for sharing.
A magnificent card Becca. I love the gentle colours you’ve used and as for your use of the poinsettia dies WOW. God help me, I would never see the potential there! Naturally, I also love the wonderful ‘Becca Bow’. You are such an inspiration – thank you.
Lovely colours and sentiment and is that a new stlye Becca bow I spy with a longer mid loop? Like it. I thought this post might be about your new dies. I will just have to be patient and wait a little longer. Hopefully not too much longer though!….
An absolut awesome card here again today Becca. it is soo beautiful and perfect made in any way, and the sentiment is sooo beautiful and soo true, if we just all would remember it more often.
Hi Becca. Such a beautiful card today. I love the dies and your flowers are gorgeous :-) I love autumn and the ever changing colours on the trees, always makes me want to go out with my camera. Hugs xxx
Absolutely beautiful. Love that taupe color underneath.
It’s awful to be addicted to the computer and cell phone. A lot of us are.
Such a lovely card, Becca. I bought two of your designs which I love but it sure takes a lot of time to poke through all the little circles to get the die to release. Even with the Spellbinders tool (the first one), little of the scraps come off. But you know what, it’s worth the mess to have your very beautiful designs! Thanks for all you share. Your sentiment is perfect.
Try this workaround for getting the little bitty pieces. After you have finished cutting out the die, leave it in the die, fold two dryer sheets, place them over the paper still in the die, and run it back through the machine. That will pull all those little bitty prices out, and when you take your die cut out of the die, it is ready to go. It works like magic.
Hope this helps. Joni
Truly beautiful card, Becca. Gorgeous colour scheme and ingenious use of dies.

Good Day Becca! Yes I think someone was calling you outside to enjoy the beauty around you. Glad you enjoyed it. We had a wonderful warm Sunday this past weekend here. Made me embrace
it as it is leaving us too quickly in my opinion. I felt like this summer went by far too quickly and I feel I have missed out. I’m embracing each day now.
Beautiful Card as always Becca!
Oh, so true..there is always something to be thankful for. Like the subtle hints of changes in season…the forced slowing down that comes from an accident. You gave me that back in July when your month of giving came around just as I so badly injured my ankle. And today, 3 days shy of 3 months later I am so, so grateful for being able to stand (assisted with a grab bar) in a shower, sans cast letting warm water do it’s healing magic over my skin and soul. Using a walker for most of the time now, and into a boot…bones knitting together in my leg and ankle…the days move along, and changes come. There is always something to be thankful for. Love the card, too.
I love white on beige – such an elegant card!
The colors of this card are so soft and the filagree and bow add an elegant touch. It’s amazing that you actually used the negative from die cuts to create this lovely card. So beautiful!
So beautiful and elegant, love the sentiment as well :))
The Lord gives us such beautiful seasons, however as I told my Sunday school class this week, I prefer spring and fall! Love the card and how simple it is (says you) Blessings, Lisa
Hi Becca
Beautiful card , as usual, i so love your work.

such a beautiful card and who knew those flowers were originally poinsettias!!! In the words of Yoda, Amazeballs you are :)
Love your card! The sentiment is SO VERY TRUE!! I’d like to also thank you for listing what you used there so we can find it too!! ;-))
Oh, this is gorgeous Becca! Love the colors, the design, the bow, the flowers, the pin…everything!!! Have a beautiful evening!
What a gorgeous card, I love the colors and the sentiment is so true
So amazing and beautiful. Really like the two sentiments in the set by Quiet Fire. The Spellbinders dies remind me of lace. Just lovely. Oh, by the way, it is my new favorite card!
What a lovely card. You are so right that we always have something to be Thankful for but sometimes it takes looking really hard to see it.

Especially in my case, I was just diagnosed with Psoriasis, Psoriatic Arthritis, Enthesitis, and Spondylitis and most of it affects my neck and my entire spine and it is quite painful to sit upright for more than 20 minutes. I have many more painful diseases besides these as well.
I am trying to be positive about things but for all of my life I have had nothing but negative surround me and happen to me so it is really hard to be positive when I am in such horrid pain day in and day out. As you can see by reading my current blog but I am really wanting to turn a new leaf and be more positive so I am trying to Rebrand my Blog.
So please Pray that I can see this through to the end. Thanks!
Another beautiful card! Someday I hope mine will be half as pretty! You are a real inspiration!
Oh Becca<
This is a truly lovely card, you may say it is easy and guess we never know until we try! It is a nice little niche to have a little cooler and like you say, maybe what we Floridians need to get us out of the "craft room" and enjoying the out of doors. I am on vacation and in CHatanooga, Tn, 50 degrees but made me get out and walk almost 2 miles. It did get me going!!!!
Thanks for sharing this lovely card.

I love your card and the neutral papers you used! I wish it was cooling off here! But I know it will, usually not till the end of September though. Glad you’re having some enjoyable weather! :) I do know what you mean about the Internet–if my browser doesn’t respond pronto, I can’t believe how impatient I can feel!! Lol!! What a great sentiment to be reminded of. It’s so true and we just have to have our eyes and hearts open to see all the goodness to be thankful for. Good thing to remember!
Lovely card, love the sentiment!
Good morning Becca,it may have been simple for you but it’s absolutely

Hi Becca
Such a lovely card. Love your work.
I am also addicted to the internet. But I think its a good idea sometime to put it away and enjoy life without.
Morning Becca, Tada !! indeed. A gorgeous card, beautiful colours and die-cuts and those fabulous petals on the flowers are stunning. Gorgeous !!
We are feeling the chill in the air at night and also first thing in the morning here too.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
Gorgeous, love the framing of the sentiment that way and lovely flourishes all around, the flowers are beautiful, pretty color combo
Becca, what a simply stunning card! Thank you so much for sharing.
I really like your cards, and this one is no exception. Thank you. Dorothy
Stunning card love every card and the layering is Awesome
Hi, Becca,
What a beautiful and wonderful reminder! To the degree that I am mindful of the truth of this statement, I am peaceful and contented-no matter what is going on in my life. I have to admit, however, it’s easier said than done. Living a centered, spiritual life is, indeed, a practice ;->)
Love and blessings to you, my friend,
Sandy
Hello Becca love your card the way you use dies it’s soooooo clever!
The colours , flowers , pin and your BOW !!! I wish lol.
Have a happy day Hugs XXX
Sorry forgot the sentiment it applies to us all in our lives even though we don’t
always see it that way .
Life is beautiful where I am! And I am enjoying the cooler temperatures too. I’m just not ready for winter! I am so glad you were able to enjoy the cooler weather and a glorious day. You must, from time to time, stop to smell the flowers girl! Do this and nature will restore the peace you are seeking. Lovely card today with an appropiate message that all of us should tell ourselves from time to time. I like how you put the “Becca” spin on the poinsettia blossom. Your newly created flower reminds me of a Japanese flower. Now just think of the peace one finds walking through a Japanese garden.
Another fabulous card and I love the sentiment!
Enjoy these beautiful autumnal days with their vibrant colours and slightly crisp mornings. The squirrels in our garden are hastily burying acorns and hazel nuts ready for the winter, but the crows are following them, uncovering them, then flying off with them in their beaks. I haven’t witnessed that before!
It is so wet here in the UK again that I am waiting for the ducks to return to swimming on our lawn!
Hugs

Ugh on being without internet. It always makes me feel so shut off from everything when ours is on the fritz. What a beautiful card! Thanks so much for taking the time to tell us how you make your gorgeous cards. Our weather has cooled down too and I’m loving it. Fall is my favorite!!
