Hi there Becca Feeken with Amazing Paper Grace here. We’re having another Spellbinders blog hop to celebrate new collections and today I’m going to share with you an alternate use for one of the new die sets I designed for my 3D Vignettes Collection by Spellbinders. If you have come from the Spellbinders Blog, you are in the right place and I’ll link you to your next location below.
3D Vignettes is a series of theme dies that can be inserted into what is cut with a Grand Base die to create 3D upright cards that fold down flat to go into an envelope – a collapsible tunnel card! If you cannot envision it here, you can see it in action in the 1.5 minute video ——> HERE. Where these Vignettes are unique, is the ability to die cut or not die cut each and every layer for an ethereal see through dimensional layered creation. Collection elements were designed to cut out whole or to be cut out inlaid for inclusion in a Grand Base. The collection centers around three themes – baby, love and birthday. The die set that I’m using today is 3D Vignettes – Grand Dome along with 3D Vignettes – Filigree Numbers. In addition I’m using Cinch and Go Flowers III and Vintage Elegance – Filigree Pocket.
My creation looks like the normal card you would create however it is open on one side, which essentially creates pages. I used the opportunity to create a 10 Things I Love About You Card Book.
There are 10 numbered pages and on each page is a small filigree pocket that has a double folded card. Inside the mini card is a space to hand write one of the 10 things and there are 10 mini cards. I used the round/oval medallion that comes with the 3D Vignettes – Grand Dome to make a topper that ribbon is threaded through. That way each mini card can be pulled out individually. There are a total of 5 pages with a pocket on the front and back of each page except the Cover and End.
The flowers are quick and simple inked petals using Cinch and Go Flowers III .
Stamps: N/A
Paper: Neenah Classic Crest – 80lb Smooth – Cover, Metallic Gold Poster Board,
Ink: Ranger Distress Inks – Victorian Velvet
Accessories: Amazing Paper Grace Dies, Spellbinders – 3D Vignettes – Grand Dome, Spellbinders – 3D Vignettes – Filigree Numbers, Spellbinders – Vintage Elegance – Filigree Pocket, Spellbinders Cinch and Go Flowers III, PL-001 Platinum™ Die Cutting And Embossing Machine with 8.5″ Platform

This booklet format is the one that fits my projects perfectly and, woohoo, there are so many more possibilities (I think you’re just scratching the surface!).
My “go to” color is black. If I don’t use it as a base, I use it as a layer because it makes other colors pop.
I just love this new collection of dies!!!
Love & blessings,
Sandy
Further to my earlier comment, I hopped on all the blogs and it was fun to see all the creative ways these ladies used your dies. I’m still in awe. As with any tool, the best ones are those we use. With so much versatility these are ones we surely need in our “tool boxes”!

I definitely now have to go get these dies when they are available in the U.K.
Your creations are truly amazing, stunning and inspirational too.
It is so hard to find appropriate words to truly describe how gorgeous your projects are. You are such a fantastic artist. Thanks for sharing your works of art!
Like you Becca, I find myself going to white also and if I want a little color, it’s usually a pink shade! I just love your creations with white and gold and white with silver – and I never get tired of it! Your Blog hop creation is amazing. I would love to created a little box of it for die cut note cards as a gift! Of course the box would be white! Hugs Dianne
Oh, good grief! Yet another project I simply HAVE to try! I LOVE that there is SO MUCH that can be done is such a variety of ways with these beauties!! This idea is just fabulous!!
Now, to answer your question… I’m supposed to have a ‘go-to’ color?! lol! I usually just reach for whatever I think will work with my project, but I just went and looked at my Instagram and I seem to use a lot of white as it goes with everything, so that must be my go-to color.
Beautiful designs and awesome colors!
I used a lot of white on my cards.
The colors you’ve chosen are just so soft and so beautiful!
I gravitate to blue. It’s always
been my favorite color in everything
so it seems a lot of my cards are
touched with blue somewhere. Gold
and silver are also prominent – love
the richness. The album is
fantastic – would be a wonderful
give for a wedding shower or wedding.
thanks for sharing.

Hi Becca! When I first saw these I went to the Spellbinders website and left a “notify me” message. CAN’T WAIT to get my hands on these!!! My sister got married on New Years Eve day and I haven’t sent a card because I want to make one for her using these series of dies.
I don’t know if I have a ‘go to’ color for cards. But I do know I frequently run out of black card stock and white card stock. So I guess my go-to colors are black and white!
Wow. These dies are amazing. I love that you can make projects/ cards that fold flat. I have alot of family and friends that are not living close by. Congratulations on another spectacular release. Thank you for a chance to win to help buy them.
I forgot to say that my go to color is white or vanilla depending on the color/colors I will be using. Lately I have been adding a touch of red a lot.
You have made a beautiful card book and such a unique way to use these dies and open up the possibilities!
My go-to color? So hard to say….since my favorite color is rainbow I usually go with a rainbow of color. If I tend toward one, it seems to be navy or in the pink family.
I so love to see and study all your creations. This one is no exception! I love white and gold for my cards.
These are gorgeous! Blue is my color.
Wow… what a beautiful love gift! This is just incredible!
Amazing creation, I love the dimension and all the pages!
Wonderful and exciting new release. My go to color is mostly white for my base card, with ivory in second place. After that, I enjoy some shade of purple if I can get away with using this purple. I do change the colors around for the men in my life to use more masculine colors. I have a lot of pink cardstock on hand and need to “think” pink for awhile.
WOW Becca, how stunning! Your card\book is out of this world. I tend to make (95%) of my cards using white bases as I can do whatever I want after that and it always works.
I love your work. The colors and designs are spot on! I may have to case one sometime! Ordering the dies so I may play. I have many colors in my stash and try to use my not so favorites to challenge myself. I usually use white bases for all.
Beautiful dies loves samples
Your cards are so beautiful and elegant. I love Spellbinders such ornate dies.
Your work is so elegant and so beautiful! I love it!
What a gorgeous creation, Becca! Love this concept! My go to colors are usually white with any shade of blue.

some shade of purple.

Love your amazing creations, Becca! Can’t wait to get may hands on the new dies. Well my go to colors used to be white and cream but here lately I’m working more with foil silver and gold.
These are so prett You! Love the idea!
What a thoughtful (& genius!) and also
elegant project this is.
My in love! My go-to is gold glitter & blush.
These are stunning ! I’m new to papercrafting and I only hope I can do these dies justice. Your blog is so inspiring. Thank you for the how to video. It’s giving me confidence to try something so elaborate.
So beautiful! Your work is always so inspiring! I don’t know if I have a go-to color or not…most of the time it depends on what I’m making and for whom/what occasion. If I had to pick a favorite I tend to be drawn to black and white designs…but black is the absence of color, right??
Pink, pink, pink. Everybody loves pink. What a beautiful way to display a die. Thank you.

Becca, your die designs are so beautiful and elegant.
And your projects are absolutely GORGEOUS!!!
Love all the details on each die cut.

Oh Becca, I love the cards so much. My favorite color to go to especially for flowers is pink and different shades of purple.
Pinks, blues and yellows are my go to colors – but I try to push myself in using other colors as it can become a bit predictable. Such beautiful dies from Spellbiders – never made one of these vigniettes but love seeing what talented people create – thanks for sharing xx
Your book is gorgeous! TFS
