Hi there friends, whoa today was an adventure for me. This week I’ve managed to knock off quite a few things I’ve been avoiding. I knew when the time came, I would have a go at them – even if reluctantly. Two brown widows and 5 snakes later, I managed to get my lawn mowed. Who knew, and we don’t live in the country!! These were all within the first 15 minutes and all in the front part of the yard. Well actually after I saw the last snake, I hung it up and called my daughter but at least it is done, right? The guy who used to mow the yard just quit coming (what economy is he living in, right?) At any rate, (although it took me alllllllll day) my triumph today was going in the shed which hasn’t been opened for more than nine months, getting the lawn mower out and getting the battery charge. We had a spider colony breeding in there, but I got ’em. Oh so glad it’s done!! Well I bet you are wondering who won the goodies I brought back from CHA – well, here they are!!
Ladies, reach out to me through the contact tab at the top of my page and let me know your mailing addresses within the next 48 hours. I’ll get these out in my next post office run. After 48 hours however, I’ll pick a new name :-)
Blessings all!! See you tomorrow!
Oh Darn, I didn’t win :( But Ladies, enjoy, enjoy, enjoy :)
I am so impressed… You are so brave! I am not sure I could have gone in your shed! Snakes and spiders! Thanks for all you do everyday to inspire us!
Congrats to the winners.
Oh boy you just hit on 2 of my favorites, spiders and snakes! Glad you managed to get the job done and are still intact! Congrats to your very lucky winners, boohoo for me!

Congratulations to Beth and Tammie… enjoy your winnings!! Becca thanks for the opportunity to win wonderful prizes!!
Wow you are amazingly brave – I am so pleased we don’t have any of those nasties living here in good ole New Zealand, I definitely would not be mowing my lawn if we did -probably wouldn’t even venture outside!!!!!!
I can so relate to you. 7 yrs ago when my husband John died, I had never been on a lawn mower – he always handled that stuff. After sitting on it for 45 min – trying to figure out how to start the darn thing – I just sat and cried and then I got mad. I live in the middle of 5 acres, so here I am crying and screaming , this is your fault John if you had just taught me how to do this. I mean I was having a full-blown meltdown. I mashed my foot hard on the pedal – and it engaged and started. lol then all I could do was laugh. The next Summer, I found a guy to cut the grass. I, too, had a guy just quit cutting my grass this Summer – Praise God , He sent me someone from my church to fill the gap. I’ll be praying He sends someone for you too. Next time I’ll have to tell you my bat story. .. love ya
Congratulations to two lucky ladies! Enjoy your Spellbinders prizes.
Congratulations, ladies!!
Spiders and snakes ——-you are so brave, Becca! I would have been startled and frightened with the first encounter, then I would have gotten angry and defiant with each discovery and probably would have embarrassed myself with the neighbors, doing all sorts of dancing and jerking to get rid of the creatures. Not a pretty sight!
I’m proud of you.
hugs
WOW, snakes and spiders, two of my biggest phobias. Congrats to you for finishing your job but I think I would’ve run screaming. Also congrats to your winners, lucky gals!!
Eek spiders and snakes, you are so brave ! Glad you are okay. Best wishes to the lucky winners.
Look at God. That is definitely a victory, yes?!!! Amen. ;)
Congratulations, ladies. From personal experience I can tell you you’ll enjoy what Becca sends!
Becca, well done on getting the job done! Spiders I can handle with a can of spray and something to thump them with if need be, but snakes?!?!? How big and what type? We’ve had dugites (a poisonous Aussie type) in our yard, one of which bit our dog and I’m so thankful we were home and able to get her to the vet immediately so she could have the anti-venom, even if it was very expensive.
Congrats winners! I live alone too, so I have lots of empathy for ya! Stuff like this happens to me frequently too. I get SCARED but God answers all my prayers.
Let’s see, Spiders and Snakes, you think they thought it was their lawn? Bless your heart for “gettin it done”. Hope you can find a lawn person soon. Around here in my area, (Georgia) we live for weeks at a time with no rain, so that means the grass grows s l o w l y , or not at all. Course that also means brown lawns, oh except for the green weeds…… go figure……. : ) Blessing to us all…….. Denice
Hi All I just hope the two ladies that won today know how lucky they are. I have

Congrats Ladies! Enjoy!
Wow Becca I admire you. I had one of those boots and I can tell you I’d never have even tried to mow the lawn with it on. I’m glad you are okay.
Blessings Bernie
Ugh. Snakes. I hate them. We’ve had them in our yard the past couple of years; we think it might be because we are the only people on our section of the street who haven’t cleared the woods in back of our house. I haven’t seen any of the big ones, but other family members have. I am afraid to go out in the yard, that’s how much I hate them! I feel your pain.
Congratulations to the winners. you will have a wonderful time with these amazing new dies.
Becca I think after the first snake I would have been out of there. But well done on getting your lawns all done.
Hugs Trish.
Oh, my heck! I would have a heart attack if we had snakes in our yard.
I wouldn’t care what they were–a snake is a snake and I am terrified of them. Can’t imagine 5 of them! Spiders arent much better, if I ever
see one in my house I have my trusty broom that I beat them to death with..
Congratulations to the winners, I know they are excited !
Lucky, lucky gals!
Ugh, snakes. At least in the Pacific NW, our snakes are basically of the harmless garden variety. One of our cats kept bringing them into the house when we first moved here. She couldn’t understand why we weren’t tickled to death with them.
Congratulations to the winners of the most recent goodies.
Well done Becca on a good jo b done especially with snakes and spiders!!!! Aaaaaaaaaargh!!! Brave as well as talented!
Congratulations ladies on winning these great prizes and many thanks again Becca for being so generous.
Love Sheila xx
oh becca, you are so brave to get out there and face those demons and conquer them, good for you! and good for beth and tammie. blessings all around for everyone!
Congratulations ladies on the win.
ColleenB.
Oh Becca, you sure are a brave woman to continue mowing even after seeing the first snake and/or spider! I am petrified of snakes, and most things that move that aren’t humans. A BIG congratulations to the ladies that won the prizes you brought back from CHA … I wish I could have won :-(
So proud of you! Tackling a job that you feared and dreaded and coming out on top! It’s amazing what the human spirit can do when it’s challenged. Praises to you!
You were so brave! At the first snake I would have gone running into the house and called for someone to get rid of it. And spiders!!! Oh my! Same response.
Congratulations to the winners.
Hi Becca ~ what a brave lady you are to have tackled those little creatures while mowing your lawn. Congratulations to the winners, lucky! Nice to have you back Becca. Blessings.
Oh Becca, I am so glad that is behind you. I am deathly afraid of snakes. We had one not too long ago in our yard and I almost had a heart attack…I am so glad that the yard is done for you now …also,
congratulations to the winners…God Bless…one day, I just know it, I am going to win one of your blog candies…I won’t give up.
Have a great weekend and God Bless….from Frannie
Congrats Ladies I hope you enjoy your prize.
Hi Becca, I do live in the country on a horse farm and battle snakes and spiders all the time. spray that shed with a product called demon i use it in the house and out, its safe around pets after it dries, and delta dust in cracks and corners, also i buy flat glue traps not raised at lowes and connect a few togetter leave them out at night next to house walls and you will catch them, i also lay them inside pvc pipes in the bushes, my daughter almost lost a leg from a spider bite so I stay on top of them, if you see a fuzzy white ball that is a sack with around 500 eggs in it, mix that demon in a bottle and spray that sack
Congrats to the winners and to you, Becca for your brave handling of a situation that would send most of us screaming into the house to stay!!!
I vote for changing the name of your website to “Amazingly Brave Paper Grace”. Is everybody in? Let me see a show of hands. 1, 2, 3, … 25,765, 25,766, 25,767! It’s unanimous, Becca. When you start your website redesign, please take this into consideration. Seriously now, you are one extremely courageous lady!
To Beth and Tammy – you lucky ducks! I’m green with envy. Kidding. Have a blast with your new toys.
So glad your a brave gal. I spent 18 yrs alone and can handle almost everything. Spiders and snakes I could handle. But don’t even show me a picture of a bat or a mouse and I’m gone. We all have our breaking point.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Congrats to the winners. I too have to battle the spiders and snakes. Every time I close my eyes I see the huge one laying next to my sandal shod foot (wonder I didn’t step on it) It was so big I never saw its end, but of course I didn’t stay around long either. We see some every year, mostly not poisonous, but I have stepped over the bad kind a time or two. Even the harmless ones still scare the daylights out of me. I haven’t ventured out much since that episode, but it’s so hot right now, the snakes are probably hiding too.
Sounds like the lawn mowing guy needed HAZARD pay too!!!
Congrats ladies!! But Becca, you are brave. I would have been out of there at the first snake! Probably never to walk on the grass again.
Wow, Becca, you are so brave…all spiders and snakes scare the you-know-what outta me. My son was bitten by a brown several years ago..not a pretty event at all. Kudos for getting it all done!
Hi Becca, You are brave, with the snakes and spiders,
We are blessed to have you Becca, to show us new things to do with card making, and giving us all inspirations to continue with our craft, keep up the good work!! blessings to you.
