Hi there friends! I carved out time to make a simple card, yes simple! It features something I love to do – Stacking Borders. Thanks to this delicious die cut, Spellbinders Arched Diamond, it’s easy to take the beauty of one border and stack it to make a 3/4 or full background. On my card I went with 3/4 but can’t you just imagine this as a full background?
Dig around in your border pile, some symmetry would be helpful so that as you stack you can find a common point or mark to use as the place of overlap. On the Arched Diamond I lay down one border then glue another border on top matching the upper diamond on my bottom border to the lower diamond on the next layered border. The symmetry makes it a great match with overlapping.
I finished up by creating a tiara on top using Spellbinders Cascading Grace Pocket. It was easy to add a quick sentiment using Spellbinders 5 x 7 Elegant Labels Four. The bordered look on the sentiment label is created using the Minc Bordered Die Cuts technique – I’ve linked up the video for you. Hope this inspires!

Rubber Stamps: Unity Stamps – Faceless Beauty
Craft Paper: Neenah Classic Crest – Natural White – Cover – 80lb smooth***, Papertrey Ink – Kraft
Ink: Fresh Ink – Watermelon
Accessories: Spellbinders Arched Diamond, Spellbinders Cascading Grace Pocket, Spellbinders 5 x 7 Elegant Labels Four, May Arts Silk Ribbon, Recollection Pearls
(***Note, many of you ask which paper I use for my cards and I have linked it up above to Amazon however, absurdly, the picture they show is a generic photo they use to represent every paper. I have ordered from this link and can confirm that what I received was Neenah Classic Crest – Natural White – Cover – 80lb smooth – 250 sheets. For an avid cardmaker, a ream will last quite long – I order every 6 months). Here is the link for the white paper I use – Neenah Classic Crest – Solar White – Cover – 80lb smooth)
Thanks for stopping by!
Wow, this is really gorgeous – simply gorgeous. And I love the sentiment – I can think of several people I could make a card for with this on it, and they would have a hard time imagining themselves beautiful! Thanks for sharing this, Becca. I hope your healing is coming along just as it should and you will be back on both feet as planned very soon!

Becca, what a marvelous card! So peaceful and elegant, the sort of card you’d want to have piles of Since it would be lovely for a wedding, baptism/confirmation, or sympathy. Thanks, too, for the tip on the paper you use!
Blessings!
Sue
Lovely card. Looks like I need to go thru my dies to see what I can come up with.
Absolutely stunning card! I’ve used some Lacey borders in the past to give a ‘petticoat’ effect but this is much more ‘chunky’ and I love it! I hope the news is good from your doctor.

Absolutely gorgeous card Becca!!!
Hi Becca,
Wow, sure is an impressive card and looks so new and fresh. Can’t decide if it is the color combination or this particular die. Just lovely and you know just where to place the ribbon and bow. A wonder that you can focus on making such pretties when you are recovering from foot surgery and weather damage. You are a blessing. Thank you. Barbara
Hi, Becca,
You are a master at stacking/layering! So much interest, so much detail, so, so gorgeous. It’s mid-day where I sit and your post gave me a mid-day treat.
Blessings,
Sandy
Becca how awesome is this! I love what you have created
Beautiful creation today! Love how you combined this die cut. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Becca,
You clever girl, you! I absolutely love looking at everything you do. This is such a clever idea. You know, we purchase dies, of which I have many, but run out of ideas on how to use them in clever ways. No more! Your instructions are perfect. I have been on the fence with the arched diamond, but tomorrow I’m ordering it. I just purchased the Stacey Caron’s Tuscany strip and see if it will work. Just love the stacking idea! Thank you for sharing. You are so generous. How’s the foot? Hugs, Sara
So beautiful! I’ve got to try this.
And guess what, Becca. I was in the new Hobby Lobby in Smokey Point, Washington, and there was one of your Amazing Paper Grace dies for sale. You are nationwide!!!! (I would have bought it, but I already own it!)
Oh my! Oh my! This card is absolutely stunning!!! I probably wouldn’t have put this b I rder die on my list but this card has changed m u mind plus I am completely rethinking my border dies! Thank you Becca!

Hi Becca! Such a sophisticated card. The borders remind me of embroidery anglaise. Fabulous!

Love the all white with just the little touch of silver and the beautiful flowers. I’m going to assume the flowers are the Cinch and Go and that you’ve rolled the edges. I never considered layering borders! I learn so much on your site about revisiting different ways to use something.
Thank you. I always look forward to seeing the “amazing” creations you send to your subscribers weekly.
Such an elegant card! Very cleverly made. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Becca,
What a lovely card and such a nice idea to use borders, I think I have a older Spellbinders border die cant remember the name but I think it will
work will have to give it a try.
Thanks
What an amazing card design and lovely sentiment. Although this border die is perfect for this technique, I will definitely have to go through the rest of my dies and see what others will work as well. Thanks Becca. Hope all is well and your foot is mending nicely. It is no fun to be partially out of commission. Are you making headway on your home repairs? I sure hope so. Sometimes the insurance companies can take their sweet time in completing claims.
Hugs,
Marcie
Somehow I never read this until I saw today’so. And realized I missed this gorgeous card. You litterly “amaze” me! This is so beautiful!
