Sweet Christmas Wishes

Hi there blog friends!  Thanks so much for your sweet words on my gatefold card.    If time permits and I’m better able to sit at the desk, I’ll see what I can do about drumming up some more concrete instructions.  In the mean time, I have a very simple card to share today.  I loved this piece of paper by Memory Box and simply wanted to use it without covering it up – hence my very simple card.  The sentiment is from this months releases with Our Daily Bread Designs called Sweet Christmas Wishes.

I created a small frame using Spellbinders™ Picot Edge Circles and Spellbinders™ Standard Circles LG.  It’s topped with one of my favorite embellishments from Spellbinders™ Fleur de Lis Motifs.  See, I told you simple :-)

SUPPLIES I USED
Stamps: Our Daily Bread DesignsSweet Christmas Wishes
Paper: Bazzill, Memory Box – Mistletoe
Ink: Colorbox Chalk Ink – Dark Moss
Accessories: Spellbinders™ Picot Edged Circles, Spellbinders™ Standard Circles LG, Spellbinders™ Fleur de Lis Motifs, Zva Creative Pearls, May Arts Satin Ribbon

Wishing you blessings today in whatever you do!

Beautiful as always, but I have a question. How do you attach the ribbon as it wraps the final layer? Do you just tape it down on back and inside, or slit the side and wrap it? If the latter, do you tack it down so that it doesn’t slide?ReplyCancel

  • Amy, MontrealNovember 30, 2011 - 9:44 am

Absolutely elegant. Again, the bow is my focus…you are the Best.ReplyCancel

Your idea of ‘simple’ is certainly different from mine! Beautiful card, and I love this paper also. Will have to hunt for it. Sure hope you are feeling much better, and thanks for sharing these last 2 lovely creations. Both are just gorgeous…as usual.ReplyCancel

Such gorgeous inspiration! I don’t know if this would help you but sometimes I work standing up! My husband started it by buying a special computer desk for his office that puts the computer at the proper height to work standing up. I have just stacked up some paper stacks and my granddaughter’s large story books to get things at a height where I’m not bending over my desk. It doesn’t work for everything but I can get a lot of prep work done and at least I am changing positions rather that sitting all the time.ReplyCancel

Such a gorgeous card!! I always love cards with contrast like this one rather than when all the elements are similar in color and blend together. The bright red on this is so pretty and stands out against the background colors. Love all the bling, as well!!!ReplyCancel
