I’m amazed, yes I am!! You all have sure helped turn my week around. I got to play again today and it feels good to keep my hands busy. Believe me, I have lots of goodies that have piled up on my desk over the last several weeks, so I’m hoping to touch some of them and show you what’s new. I’m so excited about some of the new stamps and dies I’ve gotten my hands on, so get ready :-) Today, a quick card using a sweet sentiment from Our Daily Bread Designs – Little Things.
I made a small medallion using Spellbinders™ Tear Drop Circles followed by Spellbinders™ Labels Fourteen followed by Spellbinders™ Picot Edge Circles. I felt my main panel was a little plain so I pulled out some Want2Scrap rhinestones and cut the circle in half putting them on each side of my sentiment – sparkly :-) That’s all – a card done – little triumphs!

I just wanted to let you all know that I do read your comments. Reading through comments yesterday, I’m so humbled that some of you share your experience not only for me but for other readers too. It’s helpful to me to know that others are going through trials, whether it is health, grieving, medical or just needing a friend. Please know that I think about you even if I can’t seem to sit and respond to each comment individually. Are you ready for a new year? I can’t believe how incredibly fast 2010 2011 went by! I would like to live 2012 and be in the moment rather than letting it live me or pass me by – how about you? Becca, hope you’re feeling better soon! As an “old lady” I can relate to the “arthritis” although I have many years on you!!!! Your cards are such an inspiration to all of us! Take care, keep positive thoughts…BTW, 2010 DID fly by, but last year was 2011! (that flew by as well!)
2012….Oh my gosh I hope it’s better than 2011. We lost Dons Mom to cancer in the spring. Don has also been working only parttime for most of the year, so money is tight! Did I say tight…it squeeks! Then I was very sick in July and August. They tell me I nearly died! So it took me quite a while to come back. But I did! I keep thinking God isn’t finished with me yet… I beat cancer almost 20 years ago and now this one didn’t get me either. So He must have big plans for me…or little plans that only I can manage with his love.
(I did have a bright spot or two this year…reconnecting with my oldest grandson, getting 2 more teenaged grandchildren from my son’s sweet girlfriend, and then she gave him the gift of our sweet little Mason, born on black friday! So I now have 9! Children, Grandchildren and one great grandaughter too! There is always beautiful within the ugly.)

Dear Becca — I had to laugh, your posting has a wee typo in it: you’re amazed at how “incredibly fast 2010 went by.” If that’s the case, you should be TRULY amazed at how fast 2011 also went by because you missed it! Zoooom! Light year!!!! Ahhhhh, life. It’s what happens when we thought we had it somewhat under control.
Here’s hoping you have more time to touch the fabulous things that find their way to your craft table. You inspire me!

Our Becca is back and in full creative mode-woohoo!! I love both yesterday and today’s cards as they are absolutely gorgeous. I am praying 2012 is better for all of us. It has been a very difficult year for our family, our daughter-in-law had a difficult time with her pregnacy this spring but God sent us twins, both healthy,happy and such a blessing. My son and son-in-law are both out of work and are having a hard time finding jobs but the blessing from this is that our daughter, son-in-law and grandson are moving back here in February to be closer to family. My mother fell and broke her hip three days before her 97th birthday, the hip surgery was a big success but she ended up too weak to do the theraphy to get her back on her feet so she had to go to a nursing facility and isn’t doing well. Even though there have been many trials God has also sent blessings. We all need to look for the good things God grants us everyday even if they are small. Happy 2012!

wonderful card, so glad you are feeling more upbeat. my DS will be headed back to school today, great to have him home for a few days. so i am anticipating a bit of a let down later on tonight.. my parents are still alive Thank God for HIs almighty mercies, but not in good health. my mother is my dad’s caretaker, the future looks bleak there, they are balanced on a knife’s edge of disaster. i have a chronic illness which tho not life threatening is certainly life altering, it will continue to worsen and i can see the effects, if not daily, continue to accumulate. and someday i will have to give up this hobby. i have crossed so many bridges in my mind (most have not even been built yet) and am yet never prepared for what actually happens. continue to trust in the Lord, give him praise and ask for his comfort for that is the only constant in life.

I had such an emotionally draining Holiday that I’ve been totally uncreative ever since Christmas Day! Hoping that will pass today as a dear friend who’s moving a state away is coming for maybe the last time in a long while with all on her plate now! We had only 5 extras for Christmas dinner, which was lovely, but having had 3 loved ones with surgeries the W, Th, Fri before Christmas literally drained me, I think. 1 ended up being cancelled — DD’s dear friend who was to have a single mastectomy on W found out at the hospital that AM that she’s pregnant — really exciting, but scary mixed bag of emotions there! They’d tried for nearly 2 years to conceive, so all this was quite a shock! The other 2 relatives are doing pretty well now, so lots of prayers going up for all we love to have a fabulous 2012, you included, of course!!!
I do believe the Becca we know and love is back with us again. It is amazing what prayer can do. I am praying for you daily. I am sure God has great plans for you. Happy New Year!!

I needed it today. You see this is my wedding anniversary and the first without my husband. He passed away Jan.11, 2011. We were married 48 years and today would have 49. It is so hard without him and I am so lonely.
Keep the lovely cards coming. They provide a bright spot in my dreary days.
You cannot imagine the affect you have on us. When you mourn, we mourn. When you hurt, we get sympathy pains. When you are upbeat, we pick up too. It’s lovely to hear you with a bounce in your words. I pray it continues, not for us, dear Becca, but for you. You have been so open and generous with sharing not just your masterpieces, but also your feelings. I feel most touched and priviliged to be part of this circle of followers. Wishing you all a happy and healthy 2012.

My husband had been dealing with cancer for 3 1/2 yrs and now 6 mo. ago I found that I have ovarian cancer. It is quite a challenge to take care of each other but we have wonderful family and several great friends of many years and we are doing good I guess. Take care and make our days shine a bit more.

I’m new to your website, but I’m so blessed to read about your love for the Lord and see Him at work in you. He certainly has blessed you with a large share of his creativity!! Your cards are some of the most beautiful that I have ever seen, and thus I am inspired. That helps today when I need to make a very special sympathy card for our sister-in-law. My husband’s brother passed away suddenly yesterday afternoon, while riding his bike — his favorite thing to do! He’s with the Lord, but she must rely on the Lord especially just now. Thanks again.

I know all about waiting for medical decisions and results. I went 11 months with indescribably head pain even after numerous tests and being passed from doctor to doctor as each one gave up trying to find the cause. I finally found a neurosurgeon willing to do exploratory brain surgery. The cause of my problem was so rare he had never seen it in 35 years of surgery…no wonder the other doctors couldn’t figure it out. So, hard as it is, be patient and trust in the Lord…as I know you do. I couldn’t have survived the pain without Him!
Love those little pops of the darker pink! Beautiful! Although I don’t put much stock in predictions, I think 2012 would be a great year for the Lord’s return!

I hear the pep in your blog again. So nice to hear. You are the beacon of light we all look forward to each day. My mom has Altziemer’s and has been in a nursing home for 5 years. She does not recognize any of us any more. I am sitting right now waiting for my dad to get out of heart surgery. I have found crafting is my “drug of choice” and provides me calmness to get thru the everyday “life experiences.” (Ok, God gives me the peace, he showed me the route to take) Your card is beautiful and reflects the beauty of your heart and soul. Thank you for sharing your ups and downs and all your talent.

Hi Becca…I hadn’t read your blog since June 30th. I saved every one, but have been busy with a dog that had to have 2 knee surgeries and lose 30 lbs in a month. He was a sad sight for several months, but is doing great now. I just got caught up with your posts last week.
I had to respond to this post. The message is something I am trying to teach a 6 yr old right now. She is the daughter of my son’s girlfriend. She has been thru a lot theis last yr and more big changes coming. I don’t know if she is spoiled, or something else, but everything out of her mouth is I hate this, or I hate that. I’ve about had it. I have been taking care of her during Christmas break because her mom and grandma both work. I will be keeping this scripture in mind, so I don’t totally lose it with her. Thank you for this post. I hope it helps it helps my sanity.

It’s so good to hear you sounding chipper again. I know, from experience, that the pain can get you down, so down you think you can’t cope much longer. But…
God gave us all that little bit of extra strength to ‘just get us through’. So when its get too much for you, dig in and drag it out, kicking and screaming if you have to, and you’ll have just enough strength to see you through.
I may only know you through your blog, but I care enough for you my friend to hope that you find the right help and remedy very soon.

2011 was a really tuff year for so many of us, but I have such a good feeling, that this year will get much much better. All this year ahs been bad health to both myself and so many great friends, I really pray, that this will be the year, where we´ll all turn to the positive side of life, and also you Becca, who´s always been such an inspiration to so many of us both in crafting but definitely also in life.
