The new sets with Our Daily Bread Designs are simply dreamy. Three new sets were released on April 1st and they cover many occasions, meaning I see getting lots of use out of those sets! I love this verse from First Corinthians and was tickled when Kelley decided to release it this month – the set is called Love. My card actually falls into the category of "quick card". Simple stamping, layering, cutting and you’re done – just when I needed something simple!
The second I saw the verses for this month’s release I knew I’d be using my Basic Grey – Porcelain. Yes, it’s technically another hoard paper that I’m letting go of – I know you understand. It’s been in my stash less than a month, aren’t you proud? So for the card I cut a base out of watercolor paper and added the pink background paper from the same set. Then I cut one panel from Spellbinders Curved Rectangles and one frame with Spellbinders Foliage Frame. Before I mounted the frame I stamped the sentiment on clear acetate trimmed to the size of the opening. After flower, pearls, branch punch and ribbon, I was done.
Tip: I stamped on my acetate with Stazon black. I like a rich, black, crisp images and find it’s hit or miss when stamping on the slick acetate. Even with a newly reinked pad it’s not dark enough for me. My remedy to this (and no one ever knows the difference) I stamp my acetate images twice and mount them together. Therefore if the ink on your image is uneven, it won’t be apparent when you combine the two images.
Card Recipe:
Stamps: Our Daily Bread Designs – Love
Paper: Basic Grey – Porcelain, 140lb Strathmore Watercolor Paper
Ink: Black Stazon
Accessories: Spellbinders Curved Rectangles, Spellbinders Foliage Frame, Martha Stewart Branch Punch, Prima Flower, Michaels Gold Rimmed Pearl, Martha Stewart Pearls, Clear Acetate

You never cease to amaze me! You’re my stamping/cardmaking hero! Now I want the foliage frame and this stamp set. If I were manufacturing anything to do with our craft, I’d want YOU to be my #1 designer!
Hi Becca !! Just gorgeous!! IRIS, SAVED BY GRACE!!
I love that idea of two stamped images for acetate!! Your card is beauiful!
Becca… what a wonderful tip about double acetate, especially for words/verses! I think you can often “get away with” having a bit of unevenness in a stamped image, but an unevenly stamped word or phrase just looks sloppy. This is a keeper of a tip! (And the card is gorgeous, too!)
Best Wishes,
Mary O.K.
This is fabulous and so romantic looking. I’ve never seen that Spellbinders frame before. I love it!
Gorgeous! I love that foliage frame!!!! I’ve never seen that one before. You did a beautiful job!

What a beautiful card, Becca. Like many of the ladies’ previous comment, you are costing me a ton of money. I see your inspiration card and have to buy the supplies to make it. Now I ordered the frame! Because your samples are so gorgeous and unique, you always put some kind of twist on them that makes them exquisite. Thanks for all the beauty.

Gorgeous Becca! Love the verse and the softness to this.
Lovely, just as always. Thank you Becca.
Becca, you have a true gift for making something you call simple (just a this and a that…) look absolutely stunning.
Oh, but that frame is delicious! I can see myself falling in love with that little wonder when it comes time to ‘free’ some of my beloved Anna Griffin botanical patterned papers. Satin – or silk!!- ribbon are essential with this ensemble.
Sighhhh, Becca, you are costing me… and I love it!
Oh, your simple is stunning. I love the frame, I don’t have anything like that. Thanks for showing me and making me aware of all the products out there.
Becca, every day I look in awe at what you create and every day I think it can never be surpassed, but this card is totally stunning in every way. I have seen these frames getting used, but not like you use them. As I’ve said before, you are on a different level and your creative m,ind works in a different way to the rest of us!! Thank you once again for sharing your God given talent.
Hugs,
Trish x
Good evening, Becca- a truly delightful card, so very elegant. Thank you for the acetate tip. Sometimes if I want a really crisp image I use heat resistant acetate and use a pigment ink and clear embossing powder.
Becca, this is over the top beautiful! So delicate looking!
Go you! Using that gorgeous paper already – why its just a baby at a month old ;) . I really understand the paper hoarding thing, I’m slowly working on it too. I just keep telling myself, it’s okay to use it I can get more. Another gorgeous card, thanks for all your inspiration.
My favorite of all verses, well maybe John:316 over rides, but when you think about it they are similiar- “the best of all is love – God’s love”
oh my BECCA, this is great, I am in the proces of ordering several and i mean several things from spellbinders, you simply have found your calling when it comes to cards. thanks for the inspiration. you put it all together so well. when I make cards it takes many hours and I cant seems to come up with what I am always looking for. have a great weekend bless you. ps I have enough paper that i wold share 2000 sheets with you and never put a dent in it.
WOW….so so beautiful. Love all you did . Hope to someday be able to create like you. Thank you for sharing. God bless and have a great weekend. ekc
Just so you know, my day is not complete until I’ve visited your blog!
Oh Becca, that card is beautiful, just beautiful. I have been learning so much as you share, whether it’s stamping on acetate, using corner punches to make medallions, bow tying, or just seeing how you combine so many different elements into a stunning card. You truly have a gift. Thanks for sharing that gift with us.
You blow my mind….everything you do is just GORGEOUS! Love the DP and the foliage frame over the curved mega rectangle.
OH MY! no words to describe this beautiful card! YOU REALLY BLOW MY MIND! I love how u use those thin leaves. I am going to have to go get that branch punch by Martha Steward. What a great tip, too! I hate wasting things. Thanks for sharing it! Wow! 2,000,000 hits Congrats! That’s amazing, but then that’s your title – You’ve earned it!
Oh, simply gorgeous!!! I needed inspiration for the Easter card (I know Easter is very soon!) for my Godmother who is 97 years young.
She is my biggest “fan”. Also, now I have to make another order to ODB for this I Cor. verse. It’s a fav of a friend at Bible study and I want to use it for a card for her!!! You’re the best!
As a subscriber it’s easy to see why you are at 2 million hits. Your work is always breathing. Thud, there I go falling on the floor again as I looked at your work.
This card is simply exquisite!!!! Love the soft elegance of it!!!
This card is soooo wonderful, a dream is it.
Annette
Becca, this card is so beautiful! Thanks for sharing.
You mentioned that in order to get a good crisp black image on the acetate you stamp it twice and mount them together. Have you considered using a stamp positioner? After stamping it once you could ink and stamp it again without moving the positioner. I have used that method when I sometimes stamp something and some of the lines didn’t print.
Oh WOW!
I love all your creations and this one is no exception! As soon as I saw this frame on your card I just had to order it!
Thanks for the tip on the acetate! Will be trying it!
WOW!! This is so beautiful. I will ahve to put those frames on my wish list. TFS
