I have Share the Wealth Blog Candy going on right now on this post HERE! Come play!!
Smooches friends!! I hope you’re having a fab day and staying warm wherever you are. I was as slow as a snail, but I put this card together today. It’s much the result of playing around. I wanted to experiment with the new Rose Creations die templates from Spellbinders that were designed by Donna Salazar. Oh.my.goodness, they are wonderful. Here I took one and cut it out multiple times and painted it with light yellow watercolor paint and touched pink to the edges. This is my first try with the coloring but I know I’ll go back and work with that more. Once I had the flower done, I decided it needed a card, lol. Here I used Lacey Pennants as a base – – there are two different triangles stacked the opposite way to create some interest in the background.
Try as I may to get the words on the outside of the card, it just didn’t work out. I usually leave my insides blank but I flipped the words to the inside to spare me the angst of reworking the outside. It gave me an opportunity to use that wonderful border from Spellbinders Banner Basics One – I just love that spikey border! I’m using a new set by Our Daily Bread Designs called Faith.

So I hope you find time in your day to create, what good therapy!! Be blessed friends!
Simply beautiful!!!!
Becca, this is gorgeous, as always :). That flower you created looks so real. What kind of paper did you use? light weight card stock?
Gorgeous and I can’t wait to get some of these new dies!!
Absolutely gorgeous, Becca! Looks like it came right out of a garden somewhere in a warm place, far, far from here. LOL
They are both beautiful. Love the colors and designs.
Have a great day

That rose die and the pennants are both on my wish list .The flower is gorgeous Becca. You did a wonderful job putting it together and the coloring is so pretty. Your whole card is just gorgeous. As always Becca, TFS!!! :-D
This is such a gorgeous creation, Becca, and that rose is simply stunning! You are making me consider picking up that new die, but with all their yummy releases coming soon, I really need to prioritize … I do, I really do! :-)
Beautiful card and your flower is amazing. I love the coloring.
I can never find the dies that you are using??? Like where can I find the new rose creations die. I look under the link that you give, but so often I cannot find those dies listed. Do you have any suggustions what I am doing wrong??
Beautiful! I love the rose, the coloring is gorgeous. :)
I love your cards the Lord has blessed you with a neat talent. I like that you tell where you get your stamps and dies. It gives us who are not so talented help with ideas for our cards.
Oh Becca, The rose looks just like a rose my grandmother used to grow! Sweet memories! Thanks for sharing such a beautiful card, I so love the inside saying…I think Faith has gotten me through so much of my life. Hugs, Teresa
Wow, what a gorgeous rose and card!!
Such a beauty Becca!!!!
The rose looks so real that I can almost smell it!
When I first saw the rose I thought it was real. Well, that couldn’t be, so I thought maybe a Prima flower. But no, You created this with a first time paint job. Utterly gorgeous!!
Becca, I have never used stamps from the Just Rite Co. Could you a tutorial on how these work and which ones would be good for a first time
purchase. I’ve gont to there site but am so confused re: sizes.
Most Appreciative,
Becky
Oh My Gosh that rose looks like my favorite rose called Double Delight. I can almost smell it’s delightful aroma. Gosh it’ll be months before I see them bloom in my garden again. I am so ready for spring.
Blessings Bernie
Oh Becca,
This flower is so life like. I pre-ordered most of the dies from the new release, but unfortunately, I did not get any of Donna’s dies. I am already regretting this decision and may have to do something about that. There were just to many to choose from. I love the unusal ways that you have been using the pennant dies. Leave it to you to recreate the wheel so to speak. Love it as always. Don’t know what I’d do if I didn’t have my morning fix of Amazing Paper Grace. Hugs.
Marcie
What a gorgeous card again Becca. You´re just amazing in all your creations, and this isjust beautiful, and make me think of spring, which is just what we need right now.
Have a wonderful day hun.
And I thought I could get by with out the pennant dies – what was I thinking. Now that I’ve seen your great creation, I’ve added to my wish list once again. (The rose die was already on the list)
Your rose is gorgeous!
Just gorgeous! Such pretty colors.I need the rose die it is a must have!
Wonderful card. We would love to see a tutorial on how you made the flower.
Hugs,
Peggy
A beautiful flower Becca. I love to make flowers too but haven’t for a long time so you have inspired me to do that. I don’t have this Spellbinder and it certainly made a gorgeous flower. I love how you colored it. You have designed your card beautifully. I love the inside as well with that neat stamp from ODBD. You are so inspirational Becca. Love it.
Hugs Maz
Hi Becca,
I visited Bev J’s (#13) comment on your rose card and left a comment for her about you Sharing the Common Wealth and I’m glad I did as she has some very pretty cards. I really like your rose card and definitely “need” the rose dies.
Ok Becca –
You are having fun with us aren’t you? Because that is NOT a paper rose! I swear it is a real one. I blew up the photo and I’m in awe at how the texture and your coloring look so real. Just beautiful Becca!!

LOL Thanks to your creative mind. —-I never pre-order dies . I wait until I see what you do with them. I have learned that you work miracles with the dies I was going to pass on. You are amazing

Oh Becca, This card is beautiful…..
It is perfect for my Sister that is going through a very rough time right now.
you see she was just told this week that there is nothing else they can do for her husband.
They told her that she needs to put him in hospice.
Of course that is not a choice.
I think this card would be perfect for her.
Thanks Becca
Becca!!! ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS ROSE!!!! Of course, that was the first thing I noticed about your card!!!! WOW!!!! AND the coloring of the rose- PERFECT!!!! No need to worry there!!! Looks like you picked it from your yard!!!! :)
Here I am licking my chops over the new Spellbinders release. However, I don’t have the talent that you do to bring them to life. Thank you for being such a gifted sharing blogger person. My life is infinitely more creative as a result.
I am in awe of everything you do, but your rose creation is the ultimate.
Thank you for sharing.
Hi Becca!
Back again! I just left some LOVE for Bev J.- at A Flowery Hobby!!! :) (This is kinda fun, seeing who your “friends” are & seeing your influence on their work!!! )
WOW Becca – that flower worked out great – watch Prima I say!!!
Love the overall look and the more you use them, the more I think I need the spellbinders dies: Pennants, the border and certainly the rose creations die. I can’t wait for them to arrive in the UK…. I need to sniff them out pronto!!!

How gorgeous! I had a lady comment on my blog thanks to your recent share the comment candy! I have to admit I hadn’t read that far before I made my comment to enter for the candy. Now, that I realize what it’s all about, I’m going to look for some lovely layouts. I know how fun it is to get comments on your work! Great idea!
I’m so glad I tried your share the comment wealth idea.I really lucked out! I found Heather Jensen’s beautiful blog!!! I left her some comment love even though I’m not eligible for the candy. It’s just awesome to see some great work!!!!
Ohhhhh Becca your rose is gorgeous, as is everything else! Just wanted you to know I’ve had a couple share the blessing of a comment with me from your candy! How nice!!!
hugs,
Grace
absolutely beautiful thanks for sharing Becca
Becca,
I love the rose you made. I didn’t realize it wasn’t a silk rose. Beautiful. I will have to try to make one…as soon as I get the dies! Roses remind me of my grandmother Rose who shared her house with us. She had a gorgeous rose garden with 50 different kinds of roses.
Have a blessed day!
A beautiful rose and wouldn’t that make a gorgeous gardenia, too?!
I am speechless, this is just amazing…
I’m running out of superlatives to write on your cards! Each gift seems to be more stunning than the previous one. I have a question regarding what type of paper you used to make the rose…cardstock?weight? For a few minutes of gazing at the card, the rose was just too realistic..I had to read the recipe. This spellbinder will be a definite ‘must’, but even so, MY flowers won’t look like YOUR flowers!!! Thanks for sharing. Hope the year has gone pretty well for you so far. God Bless.
Becca as always an inspiration. Love the colors in the flower – so real looking. Thanks for making my day better.
That is what I call a Master Piece, it’s just gorgeous!
Your cards are so pretty! Definitely a productive playtime. The rose is so gorgeous! It looks like a real rose.
Thanks for sharing! :o)
This is beautiful Becca. I love the pretty paper and that SB die is perfect for the flowers. I have done the same thing with the sentiment. Sometimes it just doesn’t fit.
I have got a few comments on my blog from people at your blog. That was a great idea. I ahven’t had time to play along yet. My whole family had a nasty stomah bug. I am still not 100% yet.
Have a wonderful weekend Becca. :)
Hugs
Heather

I love your beautiful rose card – it looks so real! Also, I love the detailed way you used the pennant – very creative! Also, your inside card, what a great saying and you showcased it beautifully! I miss the paper therapy, have been way to busy doing Jan work obligations! Almost done, so hope to play a bit this week-end. My craft table last saw activity on New Year’s Day – now where did January go?
Very nice, as usual! Love all your cards! I visited lindaduke.typepad.com and left her some comment love! This is a great idea and I’m having fun checking out everyone’s blogs!
My parents had a ‘Peace’ rose bush and it’s blooms were just like your beautiful flower.

Anne x
Absolutely stunning and love the way you embossed the inside
You are amazing me with your “out of the box” thinking with these pendants. I hope you are doing well, and are already beginning to see God’s sunshine (or should I say “sonshine”) in your life again.
Thanks for doing the “share the comment wealth.” I have gotten two comments on my blog from new folks! And I in turn left a comment on a great blog that I had never been to — Carla, at Carla’s Stamping Spot!
Yet again another stunning creation!…….absolutely beautiful. I love the colours on the rose.
Take care LOL Eileen
Your card is beautiful. The rose you made reminds me of a the roses in my mother front yard. Love your art.
Gorgeous as always! I love that rose. It looks like the rose my dad grew when I was a girl. I this it was a variation of a Peace rose. I loved it. The year he died, there was one single blossom on the bush, and it had 2 inches of snow on it. What a joy it was to see that rose still there after the snow was gone! It was as though Dad was telling us he was ok, and no longer in pain! Thanks, Becca, for the walk down memory lane.
Such a rose! Beautiful card as always!
Hugs

Wowzers…that IS gorgeous!!

The flower looks real for today’s card. Like a real rose. What paper did you use and how did you mold it up to look so lifelike?
Oh my Gorgeous, what a fantastic job on the inside too, that rose looks so real, I don’t think you can improve it your there already :)
Your ribbon work is exquisite. It adds so much to the card. Refreshing use of ribbon. {Hugs} Peggy M
I forgot to ask in my previous comment, what weight of paper did you use for the flower, and how did you get the edges to furl like they did? It is so beautiful! I would love to see a tutorial.
