I just {heart} Penny Black Stamps – I have quite a few wood mounted ones and lo and behold they have clear ones now – where have I been? This one, from the Thinking of You set, was a cinch to color up and all my boo boo’s look like I really intended them. Don’t you wish everything in life was that way? I chose Cosmo Cricket – Girl Friday to go along with my image that I watercolored with Tombow Markers.
I simply cut a frame with Spellbinders Labels Large and after laying my ribbon and lace, mounted a pair of Spellbinders Petite Ovals Large and my image cut from Spellbinders Petite Ovals Small. I made a loopy bow to go behind my button by taking three 4" pieces of ribbon and placing a glue dot in the middle of each and folding ribbon ends to the center. I stacked all three loops with glue dots, then a glue dot to hold my button which has a bow tied with this fun Burlap String. All my stamping here is done with Versafine Onyx and embossed with clear embossing powder. Then I embellished the top of the oval with one of the dies from Spellbinders Floral Accents.

I’m working on being better about sending cards out; I’m sure this one will be going to a friend. Do you send your cards out or do you find it all to easy to hang on to them?
Becca,
Beautiful card. Love the coloring. Really caught my eye.
Have a wonderful day,
~~Diane~~
Your cards are truly inspiring to me. I am a newby at card making. Right now, the cards I do make are for specific purposes and do get sent out (but not before I take a picture). I love to see what new techniques you share and have tried a few on my cards. Thank you for providing your tutorials.
Another BEAUTIFUL card Becca, the soft coloring gives it a feminine look. The different designs on the background paper really makes the whole card pop. Thanks for sharing.
Lovelly!
I love how you use the Spellbinders! ;P
Kind regards from Daniel

I’ve been trying to figure out what I love so much about your designs and I just realized that it’s the layers. Gorgeous layers that make up just a beautiful card.
I just love it.
Angela
Beautiful and so soft… I just love your colours and the Penny Black stamp used. I am a ribbon addict and I use ribbon on 99% of my crafts!
Cards and wreaths, floral arrangements too!
Good morning, Becca – I’m early today. Another beautiful card from you today- beautifully coloured image, the colours overall are so fresh and vibrant and of course love your layering.
You are truly talented!!
I don’t always comment but i do visit daily to see your work, just beautiful!!
Thanks so much for sharing !
Becca, your work is awesome and such an inspiration.
Yes I send my thinking of you cards every 7 – 10 days. There are 24 people on my mailing list at the moment. I try to keep one of every weekly card that I mail out.
The cards that I send DO NOT COMPARE with your beautiful works of art. Thanks so much for sharing with us. God bless. I think I need Spellbinders.
Wow…so pretty!
Oh Becca, this card is just gorgeous!!! I’ve gotta say that your coloring is total perfection! Beautiful color selection with such depth. Gotta love those Tombows! Love the dp and all those fabulous Spellbinders shapes. Truly a work of art. Thanks, my friend. :-)
You never cease to amaze me with the way you put things together! Just gorgeous!
I really like that image, so pretty! How do you get the ‘background’ of your images so perfect though? But I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE how you did that ribbon behind the button. So simple and easy, yet so perfect!
Ooooo…Aaaaaah! Another great card!
I love this image and your coloring of it is awesome, I also love the ribbon behind the button. Every time I come by I learn something :). You have the most awesome cards.
Just beautiful Becca!
Hi Becca –
What a lovely card and I love the way the flowers came out. Superb as usual. I keep saying I’m going to make cards in advance to have on hand, but I usually end of making them last minute. I have yet to keep one. Although I am getting better at remembering to photograph them so I don’t send a duplicate to the same person in the future. Also my sister always likes me to send her photos of my cards so she can see what I’ve been up to.
Elaine
Just gorgeous Becca! Your coloring is so serene looking… and of course, your layout is impeccable! Too pretty!
Fantastic image – beautiful coloring!!
Becca,
Another beautiful card! That is a beautiful stamp from PB and I love how you colored it.
I enjoy visiting your site everyday to see what you’ve made. I learn alot just by studying your layering, colors & patterns, how you embellish and how you color an image. I don’t have any Spellbinders but it’s still neat to see the ideas, then maybe incorporate some of them using the ol’ cardboard and plastic templates or smaller punches I do have. Not quite the same, but it gets me to stretch and be creative, using what I have on hand!
Thanks for sharing your artwork!
WOW, loops, lace, buttons, color and beautiful flowers what more can one ask for. just beautiful as my granny would say “easy on the eye”
Thank you for sharing!!!!
oh my – beautiful!
who needs copics?
Sandra
STUNNING!
Look at that awesome card! Those flowers really pop. Such perfect DP. Have some myself. Becca, you are truly a delight!
Beautiful card! It reminds me of the times my daughters (now grown) brought me wildflowers from the field next to our house and I would find a jar to put them in! Now my grandsons do the same!
Love the way you have coloured this one Becca

Thanks for using your Tombows. Some of us have not moved on to those Copics yet. I still have some Penny Black stamps too-they are great!
Beautiful coloring!! Tombows are the only way I know how to watercolor! :) Love the details on this – that button is super cool!!
Oh YEAH, love me some Penny Blacks too. BEAUTIFUL coloring and I love the DP. :)
You just amaze me, I am so impressed with your style you are really gifted. Keep them eye candy coming I can’t wait to see your blog daily.
It’s so beautiful! I wish I could sit down with you for one day and just watch you as you create!
Oh, wow, Becca! Is this ever beautiful! I love your watercoloring, the layout, papers–well, everything!
Great colouring of the flowers and the ribbon flower is fabulous!
Becca,
Beautiful card and coloring. Just gorgeous! Sometimes I keep my cards, but most of them get mailed. I am a stampin Up demo, so if it is a card made with a current stamp set, I keep it to show customers until the stamp set is discontinued.
Hugs,
Lisa A.
Absolutely beautiful!!!! Your instructions are great. I copy and print out the picture of the card and then write directly on the paper your Recipe !!! Like some of your other fans, I am always meeting a deadline to get a card to someone. I spend the time that I should be making cards ahead oohing and aahing over your website!!!!!!!!!!
Oh my heavens! Becca, this is just stunning. The coloring and ribbons are amazing!! Hugs to you,
Becca, How lovely. Your coloring on all of your cards is outstanding. Boo…Boo’s? You could have fooled me. I really like the watercoloring. The shading you have mastered very well.
Thank you for sharing, Linda C
