I just had to work with some different colors, but I still wanted to have and old vintage-y feel so I dug in my toss offs pile and came up with this shell of a card that was set aside some time ago. The designer paper on the card isn’t really designer paper but comes from some card sets that Michaels clearanced out years ago. The box that the cards came in is what caught my eye because I knew it would would in an altered project down the road — but inside there were eight different cards with different designer paper panels on the front and back. Well, that was certainly my kind of salvage operation – I knew I could use everything from my clearance buy.
This is a new release from Quietfire Design called Friends are Those Rare People. I positioned my sentiment on Spellbinders Labels Fourteen with Spellbinders Fancy Tags Three peeking out from behind.

Becca, LOVE this card and the vintage-y feel you created — using paper salvaged from a set of cards no less!! I just love the way you combined the seam binding ribbon, crocheted flower, laces, doily and pearls. Your cards are always so elegant. Thank you for sharing your creativity with us. Hope you have a fabulous day!
Becca I love the statement…and as always the rest of this card and all you design is awesome! Thanks for sharing and inspiring!
Love your vintage-y card with the red and tan. A bargain like that is just too good to pass up! Especially when you are able to re-do it into something so pretty.
Thanks for sharing! :)
This is a great card….. don’t you just love finding clearance items you can totally reuse and repurpose !! The bottom half of this card caught my eye… i love the stripes with the lace you have used.. that is awesome lace!!! The smaller lace on the ribbon is pretty too… not sure what the border behind that is…but it is perfect.
I would love to go shopping with you in Michael’s you have such an incredible talent for repurposing bargain finds!
I love the sentiment- love love this card- the design and colors are fabulous!!!

love from Vienna,Erni
Love the colors and the sentiment!
I love the vintagey feel. The colors work well for vintagey not to mention the stripes with the wallpaper, and the “chair rail” feel to the layout. It’s all perfect. It actually reminds me of an old pizza restaurant back home that’s designed to look victorian, I’ll have to send you some pictures sometime. Many great memories there, you see, that was the teen hangout on Sunday nights after church when I was a teen (many moons ago), So your card gives me warm fuzzies!
Oh wow, how clever you are to salvage these cards. I try to look at Michael’s ‘finds’ with “Becca’s eyes”, but I surely can’t imagine a result like you put forth. Way to go! Lovely card.
The sentiment is just beautiful and well done to you for making such a stunning card card from your clearance items.
Love Sheila xx
Transforming clearance into pure elegance verges on the miraculous. I just get more impressed every day. This is another knock-my-socks-off card. It’s so ‘together’ and it just does it for me. Bravo Becca on another fabulous achievement!
My kind of card, a bit of color and yet so elegant overall. I love the sentiments you’ve been using, gotta get some.
Beautiful. I love it!
I love the card. the combination makes is such that we can put a variety of things together and they look good. What does your heart want to say? I think that is what is important and what is the colors that is on your mind? Those two things can be very creative. Who says we have to always go with the status quo.?
Love the card Becca. I have just finished a card for my sister and BIL for their
wedding Anniv and although I have not copied any of yours I think you can say I’m influenced by you. Anne x
BOY, ISN’T THAT SENTIMENT THE TRUTH!!!!!!!!!!!!! BEAUTIFUL card, Becca!!!!!!!! I LOVE vintage too!!!!!!!!! :)
Super card made with your clearance items.

Becca, I love your card and I love, love that sentiment!!! Going through a bit of a bugaboo time here, and that sentiment just stopped me in my surfin’ tracks!!!
Blessings to you friend!
Becca…once again you have stimulated my creative juices. I have several boxes of JoAnn’s clearance cards. I have altered a few of them in the past, but never with the panache that you did this one! I’m inspired to get them out again for a second/third/fourt look! Thank you for being my muse!
How are you doing, Becca? I hope that you are healing and are continuing to hold onto your faith. Hugs! BTW, I love your card!
Love your vintage-y card! The bow and flower are beautiful. I love that your paper is from an alternative source. It’s amazing what beautiful thing you can find and how much money you can save by keeping your eyes open and thinking outside the box.
Blessings Bernie
Becca, your cards are so unbelievable. But I have a question…where do you purchase that gorgeous lace that you always use? I’d love to get some of that. Keep up the good work because it’s the highlight of my day to see what you have done.
Fantastic sentiment, and you turned it into such a fabulous card too!
Fab card Becca. Oh how I wish we had a Michaels over here in Blighty.

Another inspiring card The sentiment is so true! Thank you for sharing I love visiting your blog every day to see what you have done!
This is beautiful. So many of our younger crafters are into such wild “expressions of art.” Yet I find those who receive a more vintage looking card seem to keep them longer and display them more.
May I ask how you mail those with the bows and hat pins?
Beautiful. Great sentiment.
there is only one word to describe that card Becca….AWESOME!
Thanks for more wonderful inspiration!~
How beautiful is that, the words are really meaningful
Beautiful card and quote Becca!

This is a really pretty card as well as the rest of them. You do beautiful work.
Can you tell me what size the cirle is that you use to make your bow maker. I am having trouble finding a round cylinder box and live in an area that we don’t have to many choices.
Thanks
I love the sentiment
The colors
The fact that u recreate something from a clearance item
The bow
Everything is just adorable Becca!
