Woohoo, I love challenges but have not been able to participate in many. Today I was able to work on Mojo Monday #42 – the sketch is absolutely awesome and I did not want to miss it. Mojo Monday is hosted at Poetic Artistry and you can see more details about this weekly sketch challenge HERE.
For my card I knew that I wanted to use new K & Co paper from their Blue Awning Collection that I purchased recently. I also purchased some chipboard elements from the same collection. After much trial and error I finally found the element I wanted and where I wanted to place it. I started out with a blue base that I stippled with Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink. I cut the pieces of Blue Awning paper and stippled with Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink then glued down on a layer of chocolate card stock and popped up on the blue base. I then stippled my chipboard element with Brushed Corduroy, glued it to a square nestie which was stippled with Brushed Corduroy, added three brads, tied on chocolate ribbon, popped it up over the card base and added my butterfly with a glue dot. I finished up with the sentiment inked with Versacolor Black pigment ink. Since this was the very last step, it had to be done oh so carefully — ask me how I know that. Well…because this card was made twice. The first time I made it to the last step and blew it. It was still fun the second time around tho’ :)

Absolutely Gorgeous!!!!!! I just flipped over this one when I opened your site. What a classy look!!!!! The butterfly adds the finishing touch, too. Another on of your cards I want to copy.
