I hope your St. Paddy’s Day was wonderful. I’m back to share a card with you. As I do cards, I’m trying to reach into my stash and use things that I’ve not used before. I don’t know about you, but for the longest time when I purchased a product I would just leave it in the packaging until I was ready to use it. Well the truth is, keeping it in that packaging was really a barrier to me using it – I mean, what if I needed to return it to the store? Things look so pristine in the package that I tended to save them for a "special occasion". Not anymore! I’m now really good at getting things out of the package and into my everyday storage so that I can put my hands on it quickly. Somewhere in my meanderings I picked up these jumbo eyelets and on this card used them for the first time. They were a little bit klutzy for me and I couldn’t seem to get them set with my Cropadile without mangling them – I ended up having to use the dreaded manual eyelet setter and hammer.
Another simple card. In real life the colors mesh a little bit better than they appear. The scalloped circle is more of a lime green as is the patterned background. My camera simply wasn’t feeling it.
Supplies: Stamps: Stampendous; Paper: DCWV, Bazzill; Ink: SU Night of Navy, Brilliance Black; Ribbon: Michaels; Accessories: Eyelets – Karen Foster; Nestabilities; aquapainter and watercolors.
I like this card! May have to case it!
love this one!!! I recognize that ribbon from the 33 rolls at Michaels that I purchased! Love the dragonfly and the colors. thanks for sharing.
Finally someone that has used jumbo brads !!! I loved reading “as time goes by” … because I’m notorious for never taking anything out of it’s original box. And you’re right – it’s a barrier and you never use the product. I’m delivered !!!!!
love ya, deb
pretty card, guess u need to buy that big bite it might have done the job. I used mine the other day for reg. eyelets and it works good when u use it right.!! we will have to email deb and tell her that is jumbo eyelets. I dont have a problem taking things out of the box , I have a problem of using them if they are special, i keep thinking oh gotta save it for that special project but i am loosing that philosophy real quick. thanks for sharing. i have that ribbon from michaels too.
