Hello there! I’m fully immersed in the throes of spring fever!! Today I was actually doing some cleaning so my stamp table sat neglected. I do have a card to share though!! Such an inspiring sentiment, this Quietfire stamp is called There Are Two Things. Isn’t that sentiment darling?
For my card I cut a Spellbinders™ Classic Heart and stamped the sentiment onto the heart using my stampamajig. The sentiment is actually one stamp that I divided into to two parts so that it would fit neatly into the heart. Then to embellish the heart I cut two Spellbinders™ Classic Scalloped Paisley and trimmed off the top scalloped edge to use for wings. Very simple!
Card Recipe: Stamps: Quietfire Design – There Are Two Things Paper: The Paper Company – Cottonwood, Lasting Impressions Ink: Versafine Onyx Black and Clear Embossing Powder Accessories: Spellbinders™ Classic Heart, Spellbinder™ Classic Scalloped Paisley, Ribbon, Buttons, Martha Stewart border punch |
Cheerio! Have a wonderful day!

Becca, love the card. It is so sweet. Would love to send something like this to my daughter. Her first child is coming in July. We are all so excited. Hope the roots remain strong, the wings are already there. This is a new journey for her and DH. They are world travellers and baby, Oh my!
Wow! LOVE this and the pink bow is so perfectly made!
I love that saying…a friend of mine has it up in her house!
Very lovely card. I like the wings on the hart.
Beautiful card and perfect sentiment for the heart !! Only you would figure out what to do with the Paisley die. :) I never bought it because I couldn’t see any use for it

Becca, Your card is beautiful! Love the message!
Your work is so beautiful Becca. I went to enter my comment for the giveaway again and it sparked my intention to write this to you before.
I understand you are a caregiver. God will bless your soul for this…. I am sure of that. I met cancer three years ago and it was my family and those that cared for me….that helped me push forward and dwell on where I needed to go and not where I was. Its all about love and caring for family. So with that love in your heart, when you are outside in the sun your are truly in the most glorious place on earth. Hugs to you!
so beautiful. Love the colors you used!
Divine! I read this sentiment years ago when my children were small/er….. it made quite an impression on me, and I hope to be able to make this card for others….to inspire them!!! Thanks!
I love the colors and the wings are beautiful!
Becca,
Stunningly Springy. And I just LOVE the sentiment.
Hugs,
~~Diane~~
That’s beautiful! I’ll be making a few of those for parents who are stricken with empty nest syndrome!
Beautiful card, Becca. And the sentiment, so true. It’s those roots, we all pray, will give our children a strong foundation when they test out those wings.
This is amazing! I need this sentiment to do a card for someone who is always quoting this. Didn’t know it existed!
Finally a use for the paisley die-cut, you just can’t image how many times I looked at that and couldn’t see any use for it. Spellbinders should be grateful you use their products because without you I couldn’t invision their potentials. You’re great, just love the sentiment too.
what a great sentiment! quietfire does such beautiful calligraphy!
and such a clever way to make “paisley” wings! i never would have thought of that! thanks!

Beautiful Card, love that saying also. It sure is wise words in which we need to implement in to our life as well as the life of our children
Love the sentiment – and it’s so true! But hard to do the “wings” part. Beautiful card.
I love all of your cards. They are such an inspiration.
You’re a genius! I would have never thought of using paisleys for wings! :)

Take care.

With my 25-year old “baby” just off to Australia to live, I am relating to that sentiment these days! What a beautiful card, and only you could turn paisleys into wings!
This is sooo pretty! I love the text on the little wings. So soft and gentle
Thanks for sharing! :o)
What a beautiful card, and so clever! I would never have thought to clip off the top of the paisley figure to make wings. In fact, I didn’t even recognize that they were the paisley die-cuts from Spellbinders until you revealed it. God has truly blessed you. Such a sweet, lovely person and so generous to share her amazing talents with others. Please continue to share that creativity and cleverness with all of us. Every day is a delight to visit your blog, and I have never been disappointed. You know, it’s time for you to write your own book like others in the paper crafting world are doing. It would be a best seller!
