Two Things We Can Give

Just a reminder, if you are looking for the current blog candy, you can leave a comment HERE.

Hello there!  I’m fully immersed in the throes of spring fever!!  Today I was actually doing some cleaning so my stamp table sat neglected.  I do have a card to share though!!   Such an inspiring sentiment, this Quietfire stamp is called There Are Two Things.  Isn’t that sentiment darling?

For my card I cut a Spellbinders™ Classic Heart and stamped the sentiment onto the heart using my stampamajig.  The sentiment is actually one stamp that I divided into to two parts so that it would fit neatly into the heart.  Then to embellish the heart I cut two Spellbinders™ Classic Scalloped Paisley and trimmed off the top scalloped edge to use for wings.   Very simple!

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Quietfire Design – There Are Two Things
Paper:  The Paper Company – Cottonwood, Lasting Impressions
Ink:  Versafine Onyx Black and Clear Embossing Powder
Accessories:  Spellbinders™ Classic Heart, Spellbinder™ Classic Scalloped Paisley, Ribbon, Buttons, Martha Stewart border punch

Cheerio!  Have a wonderful day!

Your work is so beautiful Becca. I went to enter my comment for the giveaway again and it sparked my intention to write this to you before.
I understand you are a caregiver. God will bless your soul for this…. I am sure of that. I met cancer three years ago and it was my family and those that cared for me….that helped me push forward and dwell on where I needed to go and not where I was. Its all about love and caring for family. So with that love in your heart, when you are outside in the sun your are truly in the most glorious place on earth. Hugs to you!ReplyCancel

  • Debbi ClouserMarch 6, 2010 - 10:42 am

This is amazing! I need this sentiment to do a card for someone who is always quoting this. Didn’t know it existed!ReplyCancel

  • RubyMarch 6, 2010 - 10:46 am

Finally a use for the paisley die-cut, you just can’t image how many times I looked at that and couldn’t see any use for it. Spellbinders should be grateful you use their products because without you I couldn’t invision their potentials. You’re great, just love the sentiment too.ReplyCancel

  • sandyhMarch 6, 2010 - 10:54 am

What a beautiful card, and so clever! I would never have thought to clip off the top of the paisley figure to make wings. In fact, I didn’t even recognize that they were the paisley die-cuts from Spellbinders until you revealed it. God has truly blessed you. Such a sweet, lovely person and so generous to share her amazing talents with others. Please continue to share that creativity and cleverness with all of us. Every day is a delight to visit your blog, and I have never been disappointed. You know, it’s time for you to write your own book like others in the paper crafting world are doing. It would be a best seller!
