Waltzingmouse October Release – Preview Day 2

Hi there blog friends!!   Well, we’re off to Previews for Day 2 for Waltzingmouse Stamps :-)  When you see this set, you’ll immediately see why it’s called Nordic Winter.  It reminds me of all things warm and toasty.   The variety of stamps in the set as well as the flexibility to built backgrounds were a perfect match for what I created today.  Yep, another box, and I’m tickled because now I have an easy hexagon that I can whip up.  Although the die is an envelope, it works beautifully when I used it for the top and bottom and extends the use of the die.  I stamped as I constructed – sides first, then bottom, then top.  I also whipped up a card to go along with the box.

I love the clean and simple look of Nordic patterns and tried to keep everything pretty simple (simple for me, anyway).  Isn’t this a sweet Nordic color palette?  I’m especially fond of blue and white and it’s a pleasant break from traditional Christmas colors.

This is the die template I used for the box; Spellbinders Hexagon Petal Envelope.  If there’s interest, when I can, I’ll work in a quick tutorial :-)

SUPPLIES I USED
Stamps: Waltzingmouse Stamps – Nordic Winter, Say it Loud Winter

Becca, you are truly a creative genius! Everything you create is an absolute masterpiece.
My creative juices have had to go on the back-burner since an F3 tornado tore a swath through our beautiful town and our house sustained significant damage. As a result of the storm one person was tragically killed, but by the grace of God everyone else was miraculously spared. We are slowly getting things back together though and I hope very soon to be able to get back to my most favorite passion. In the meantime, thanks to you, I have tons of inspirational ideas.
