Good morning friends! Today is release day for Waltzingmouse Stamps and three new sets are now available – Little Deer, Warm Fuzzies and Frosty In the Meadow as well as a series of snowflake dies. You can see them in full HERE. For the blog hop today please know you can always get your bearings by popping over to the Waltzingmouse Blog, otherwise if you’ve just come from Tosha’s blog, you’re in the right place and at the end of my post I’ll give you a link to the next stop on the hop. My cards today use positive and negative cuts from the new Snowflake die. I created a card base with Spellbinders Modern Stationary. For the focal panel I centered the Snowflake 1 die at the top center as I cut another panel with the Modern Stationary die. This card will will fit in an A2 envelope as it measures 5-3/8″ x 4-1/8″.
SUPPLIES I USED |
Stamps: Waltzingmouse Stamps – Snowflake 1 Die, Frosty In the Meadow Paper: Neenah Classic Crest, Natural White, Smooth 80 lb Cardstock, The Paper Studio Glitter Paper Ink: Versamark Accessories: Paper Studio Pearls, Offray Satin Ribbon, Recollections Gems, Silver Embossing Powder |
For my second card (5-1/4″ x 7-1/2″) I used three layers of the die. The die is quite intricate, I cut it and threaded silk ribbon though it on the vertical while I layered up separate pieces of the die. Below the snow flake I embossed a Merry Christmas sentiment on vellum from the Seasonal Flourish set and backed it with the Picot Edge Die.

Hi Becca,
These cards are lovely, and the dies will be so easy to use.
Thank you xx
Oh wow Becca, these are sensational, I love the use of the negative space in the first card, terrific idea! Me and himself are just sitting here taking in all the details of the second card, such a beauty – thank you! Hugs!
Such a lovely card series! The new Waltzingmouse winter stamps and dies are so versatile. Thanks for your inspiration. As soon as I receive your email, I open it immediately to see you next designs. You make my day more beautiful. Thank you!
Lovely as usual I really like the first card but then I saw the second one and it’s a tossup good job
Two stunningly beautiful cards Becca! What a good idea to use the negative from the die too – two for the price of one (always useful at the busy Christmas period)!
You’ve been blessed with such creativeness. These are stunning and inspiring.
Two stunning cards! I love the shape of the first one. Super cool the way you used the die on it and the bow is gorgeous. The second card is absolutely beautiful and striking.
Hi, Becca. I just got my order in and I am so excited I can hardly wait! I just wanted to remind everyone to run your dies through with wax paper first so you don’t have a problem with getting your paper out! Layer the wax paper first, then add your paper and your piece will pop right out, no problem! Can’t wait to get my items, especially the snow flake dies! Best to all, Melinda
Oh my goodness I LOVE these cards!! Actually, I love every card you’ve made for this release so far.
A different subject–I wonder if you would know why, when I view your blog on my iPad, does the background appear as tiny blue, black, and white checked. Makes it impossible to read anything–haha! I can see the photos, just not the text. I can see the full blog on my computer and iPhone. Just curious. :)
Thank you for sharing your beautiful cards–you have such a great eye and talent!!
Oh wow, Becca. Just love the negative snowflake as good as any card I have seen of your. Both beautiful and gives me so much inspiration! Haven’t started with the Christmas cards yet but in another couple weeks. As soon as I can, place an order for all the new “stuff.”
Hugs

Gorgeous cards and beautiful work. Love these cards and dies. Love the way the 1st card was created with the centered die cut and then on the next card threading the ribbons thru was a great idea.

Beautiful cards Becca. So often we fail to look at the possibilities of the “waste” left behind in our card after die cutting. I must do this more often. Thank you for the inspiration.
