Hey there blog friends!! For those of you who always encourage me to make masculine cards – well, today is the day. I didn’t even have a blog category for man cards before today, but I put one in so that I can keep track in the archives. This was fun – I’m using the Man of the Hour set by Waltzingmouse Stamps. For my card today I created the base using Spellbinders™ 5×7 Matting Basics B. I popped up a layer using Spellbinders™ 5×7 Matting Basics A and covered it with a panel using Spellbinders™ M-Bossabilities Numbers and Letters. I simply swiped my inkpad across all the letters to make them stand out. I topped it with a panel cut using Spellbinders™ Radiant Rectangles.
Ribbon and flowers were added before permanently securing the upper layer, and I was done. I have to say that for me, it’s hard to be done on a masculine card. I want to add pearls and I want to add ribbon and I want to add embellishments — well, you get the picture :-)

Becca only you could make a ‘pretty’ man’s card like this. I don’t imagine any guy would mind flowers & swirls with a sentiment like this. Love the colours too.
Becca I have just noticed (& read) your ‘artistic philosophy’ WOW! Don’t know how I’ve missed this before but wahay you girlie! ou are sooo living out your belief, hopes, dreams….. I’m inspired :-)
I love the strong look of this card. It is attractive without being too girly.
Any guy would love to recieve this one.
Very dressy! I think we all have trouble with men (cards). Lol. Everybody I know wants it manly without feminity! This really fits the bill, Becca

Your card is handsome, earthy and fabulous! Who but you would marry brown, beige and black with such striking results! It’s the perfect sentiment showcase for some lucky Dad.
What a fantastic Father’s Day card this would make! I live in Ireland & although we have a different Mother’s Day, Father’s Day here falls at the same time as USA. Ironically I’d never heard of waltzing mouse until I saw your posts and its actually only about 20 miles away from where I live!! I will be looking that up very soon. Thanks for more great inspiration Becca, hope you have a wonderful day.

Terrific card! I’m loving these ‘dad’ cards!
I love the card that is definitely more masculine in opposition to the one yesterday that was definitely for a small child or new mom. Beautiful job Becca! They are gorgeous.

Well now, that is a perfect masculine card! Even with the lacy corners, it is still manly and any guy would be charmed to receive it. Brilliant design as usual, Becca!

The card is awesome….so is that old fashioned telphone in the background of the picture…are you still using that?
What a great card, Becca! I love the chalkboard effect you created, and the numeric background would be perfect for my number lovin’ man. Super sentiment, too!
This card is breathtaking! Black on a card is so rich. Thanks for always inspiring.
Great job on the masculine card.
Becca – This is such a great card! So vintage and masculine! It has such a strong masculine feel that you don’t even realize at first that it has a bow and flowers. Great card! Always so inspirational!
