Hiya there sweet friends – three cards to share today. Yep, count ’em. Yeah, two of them you would never know I made, but I sure had fun doing it :-) So today is Day Three of the Waltzingmouse Stamps August Releases. There were so many sets with this release that you should definitely hop around and have a look see. For me, first up is a baby shower card using the new Waltzingmouse Vintage Baby Shower set. It’s a clear stamp set and the detail is absolutely phenomenal.
I simply stamped the parasol with Memento Ink (there is a die being released, however I fussy cut the parasol) and popped it up on my card. I have a very classic card base with Spellbinders Grand Decorative Labels One layered with Spellbinders Marvelous Squares. I rimmed a plain panel and my Marvelous Squares panel with a Krylon Gold Marker that I simply drag around the edge while pressing into the cardstock.

These watercolor cards were an absolute dream to make! It’s been years since I messed around with stamping and watercolor but it’s a trend that has come back around :-) Those of you who have been stamping for a while might remember that for a while we watercolored everything! These were quick and easy and the watercolor background pairs perfectly with the bold sentiments in the new Waltzingmouse Hello Happy Thanks set. The hardest part of this adventure was exercising restraint. I wanted to pop it up, glam it up, ribbon it up and many might even think I’ve gone too far here, but a simple embellishment of Spellbinders Layered Flowers and a pennant cut of ribbon – that’s it.
I made lots of backgrounds and mis-stamped on my favorite one which led me to cutting it out. I loved the result of popping one background up over another – let’s just call that my happy mistake. I used Distress Reinkers and placed a dot of each color on my teflon mat and spritzed with water. Then I misted the top of my watercolor paper and laid it down on my teflon mat. When I picked it up, there’s enough water that the paint starts to run down the page. I spritzed more as needed. Hows that for easy? As hard as you may try, no two will come out the same! I sped up the drying by using my heatgun then trimmed to size.

All the other ladies have goodies to show you too so I hope you’ll pop in for a visit. Thanks so much for stopping by today!!
Good evening Becca,
The first card is traditional and beautiful. The second more modern and equally gorgeous. I can’t pick which one I like best so will have to do versions of them both!!! Thank you and God Bless xx
Love the pretty vintage baby card – the parasol looks fab! And I do like the gorgeous gold frame and fab ribbon. However, my favourites are the watercolour cards – so pretty and the bold sentiment is brilliant! Great work.
You’re right, I never would have guessed that 2 were yours! Cute, but not really my style. Love Waltzingmouse Stamps, classic never goes out of style. Just like you and your beautiful cards, Becca.
Oh my goodness these are soooo cute too Becca, even you´re sooo right I would never have gueessed they were made by you if you hadn´t said so. They are very different but just as gorgeous and very very beautiful.
So cute! So pretty! So lively! You are the best!
Might have a play with the watercolour background later – sounds fun and looks different. Thanks for sharing.
Lovely cards, Becca! I really like your “happy accident” where you cut out that panel and layered it. Very cool!
Hi Becca
A beautiful Parasol card loving the soft pink along with the black.
I have never tried the watercolor technique , it sure looks fun and your two cards are lovely .

Good morning Becca,
I love you bay shower invite but i am surprised that you have done a black umbrella/parasol as i think that you i have come to expect would have done it in a white or pink embossing, fussy cutting it so that it was an individual item on its own and put lace around the bottom of the circumference of it.See where you have got my mind wandering off to with all your beautiful creations…dream land. Thank you for your inspiration,
Love and crafty hugs

Hi Becca. I love both cards ; ) take care.
Simple but elegant!
The baby shower card is really cute and I like the water color cards.
What fabulous cards Becca. I love the baby shower one, love that umbrella.
BEAUTIFUL JOB on all three cards Becca! :D You make me smile when you talk about your “happy mistake!” It makes us all feel we are “normal!” LOL :D
Both cards are very pretty. I love the black umbrella – the contrast is wonderful. I really like the watercolor card. Thanks for sharing!
The black parasol really pops out against the pink. So stylish!
Then as I scrolled down, I thought you had a guest contributor on your blog. I love these 2 cards and I would say a very happy mistake as the layered look is great!
