Note to self: Casually drinking a cup of coffee while hovering over the card you happily created and finished four days ago but thought to add on just that one last flourish — welp, that might not turn out well. Yep, that really happened, while writing this post, aarrgh! Thankfully things worked out and I simply cut off the bottom right corner of the card and patched it with extra cardstock. Just a peek behind the scenes folks – yes these things happen :-) Welcome back for the Waltzingmouse Stamps February 2015 Blog Hop as we wrap up the releases for the month. If you haven’t stopped in this week, you can see all the items in the release HERE :-) If you came from Tosha Leyendekker’s blog you are in the right place, at any time you can get your bearings by checking the order on the Waltzingmouse Blog. Now on to my card, this is actually the first card I created with new goodies in hand and it feels a little bit on the CAS side but the inspiration was threading some pennants through the Pretty Circle Die.
My card is 5-1/2″ x 7-1/2″. I created two staggered layers on the card base then added a piece of 7″ cardstock that I cut the edges with the Pretty Circle Die. I cut a Pretty Circle which I then cut again with Spellbinders Standard Circles LG creating a frame which I adhered to the strip at the top and bottom. Then I hand cut several pennants and threaded them over the circle and underneath the strip – this created a space in the center for the Hello Word Die. The final embellishment was Spellbinders Architectural Accents, flowers, leaves and pearls.

XxxRuth
Love the layers on this one! So creative!! Also laughing my head off about the little “spill”. Glad these things can be fixed. I sure can’t tell it happened.
OH! LOVELY, BECCA!!! LOVE the colors too!!! ;) I haven’t had the coffee spills, but I’ve had the inky fingers!!! LOL ;)
laughing 0 I hate when I do that to myself. Such a good idea at the time! Of course there are the times when it perfectly finishes a card too! thanks for sharing this sweet card, Becca – love it!

This is so adorable.
You never fail to amaze with all your beautiful details. Love those layers.
So pretty.
Such a beauty! I’m off to order the circle die!
NO way? I try to be careful too but often bring a beverage into the desk and worry what MIGHT happen…. Looks wonderful, as always!
Lovely.what mishap? No one would ever know if you hadn’t had fessed up!
Such a beautiful card again Becca. and that even the mishap you had, and like someone here already have said, no one could tell, if you haven´t said anything. It´s still just as gorgeous as ever, even without a bow ha ha.
Actually glad to hear about your mishap, not because I´m vengous in any way, but because it kind of make you more human, that you do the same stupid mistakes, that we all do now and then ha ha ha, and that gives me hope too ha ha ha.
Morning Becca,
This is gorgeous, love the design and papers, just beautiful.
Love & Hugs

Always beautiful thank you Becca for sharing!
Hello Becca,
This is so beautiful and elegant. You give me such good ideas just looking at your cards.
I’m so pleased to see that you can do the sort of thing that I do. Do you also start off with a large clear desk, and end up crafting in a 5 or 6 inch square?
Yes, every day I do that, and as for the craft fairy who whisks away what I have just had in my hand one second before, and then I can’t find it. Grrrr
xx
Oooh, I love your version of a buckle card!
It’s impossible to see where you ‘patched’ it! But I empathise and sympathise! How often have I finished a project and then think ‘I’ll just add/do x, y or z……’ Always a bad plan as it never turns out well!
Hugs

Lovely, creative way to use the banners, pretty papers and flowers too!
Becca, your card is lovely, and the inspiration from it has me searching for the ‘HELLO’ word die. I noticed that it is NOT highlighted in your narrative, and I cannot locate it on the Waltzingmouse website. Is it no longer available? Or not released yet? Is it not a Waltzingmouse die?
Please help . . . Thanks!
Hi Becca, A stunning, stunning, card, as always.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
Stunning, stunning card Becca, the tag detail behind the greeting is very effective x x x

Hi Becca, another great card, love the paper in the background, very pretty, also the circle die cut, and the tag idea, pretty little flower make it really look great. Cheers Anna.
What a beautiful card Becca. Thank you for sharing your mishap with us. I am always doing daft things at the last minute with my cards so butterflies and flowers really come into their own then! Usually with me it is a bit of stray glue or I have a bit of stray ink on my crafting mat. It is so frustrating. Your card looks perfect to me though. x
