Waltzingmouse Stamps – February Releases – Design Team Blog Waltz

Sweet Blog Friends, today is the final day of the new releases for Waltzingmouse Stamps.  You know what that means don’t you?  That means the stamps you’ve been seeing all week are available in the store!   Here are the new sets:

          1. French Country
          2. Make Your Mark
          3. Chicken Wire
          4. Nordic Spring
          5. Florentine Fripper
          6. Compact Sentiments
          7. Heritage Patterns
          8. Paris Nouveau
          9. Labels 25

Today we’ll be showing you sets 8 and 9 on the list – Paris Nouveau and Labels 25.  Ou la la are you ready?  If you made your way here from Tosha’s blog then you’re in the right place, right order.  Otherwise, be sure to start at the beginning at Claire’s Blog – she has the complete sequence if you get out of order.  Today in order complete the hop, leave a comment on as many of the Design Team Members Blogs as you can.  A winner will be selected from a random comment on one of the blogs and will win a free set of Waltzingmouse stamps.  You have until March 3rd at 5:59am CST  to leave your comment and a winner will be selected on March 4th.

For my project today I couldn’t resist. . . . going “Paree” all the way.  Heck any chance to use funky feathers and you had me at hello!!  I just love theme cards so I couldn’t wait to use the Eiffel Tower and the nouveau elements to pull something together for a card.  Using Spellbinders™ Labels Twenty Five, I stamped the largest element and trimmed inside.  I layered it on Spellbinders™ Floral Ovals and backed it with an element from Spellbinders™ Damask Motifs.  On the bottom I used a combination of Spellbinders™ Classic Edges One  and Spellbinders™ Classic Decorative Inserts One  for a romantic scalloped edge.  It’s no small coincidence that the Paris sentiment fits perfectly on this sweet little tag from Spellbinders™ Home Sweet Home.  Paris Nouveau is a huge set with lots of cool options!!

SUPPLIES I USED

For my second card, I’m embracing ‘yellow’, so many of you know that I fret over that color but I thought I’d give it a try.  I stamped with two different motifs from the Labels 25 set and cut them out with Spellbinders™ Labels Twenty Five and mounted them on top of Spellbinders™ Parisian Motifs.   Spellbinders™ Damask Accents has one of my very favorite borders – I hadn’t done it on a square card yet, so I thought I’d give it a try – I guess you can see that spring is in my heart today!

Not long ago I spent hours one night going back thru your blog just drinking in all the beautiful cards you have created. I learned of the loss of your husband and the faith that has sustained you in the months since. I recently lost my mother after caring for her for 18 months and am adjusting to loss myself so I felt a bit of sisterhood with you. Anyway, in a world of cardmakers, your style is instantly recognizeable. I absolutely adore your black and red card and marvel that you are able to get such deep vivid colors with your ink. I’ve tried so many black inks but none are as dark and crisp as yours. Reminds me of black lace stockings and a pretty garter…so Parisienne! Thanks so much for sharing your talents! xoxoReplyCancel
