Waltzingmouse Stamps – September 2014 – Preview Day 1

Christmas Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken using Waltzingmouse Little Deers and Spellbinders Labels 42 Decorative Accents - www.amazingpapergrace.com
Hiya sweet friends!  First of all, don’t forget I have 20 clear cases I’m giving away and you have until Saturday to leave a comment – to get to that post click HERE.  Well, it’s officially fall so now I feel better strutting out Christmas and winter cards.  You are in for a treat for the next three days as we kick off the Waltzingmouse Stamps September 2014 previews.  The previews all lead up to release day which is Sunday, September 28th – at which time all of the products we’re showing will be available to see in full and purchase on the Waltzingmouse Stamps website.    My first card is a small filigree card using a new Waltzingmouse Stamp set called Little Deer and using Spellbinders Labels 42 Decorative Accents.

Christmas Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken using Waltzingmouse Little Deers and Spellbinders Labels 42 Decorative Accents - www.amazingpapergrace.com
This is an easy card and it’s on the small size coming in at 4-3/8″ square!  You can see how I make hinged bases from filigree dies on the Hinged Base Tutorial HERE.  To make the card I simply made a hinged filigree card base and layered with another element from Labels 42 Decorative Accents and Spellbinders Classic Squares LG.  I adore the little birdhouse!  After stamped, I simply colored with copic markers.

For my second card (5-1/2″ x 7-1/2) again I’m using the whimsical Little Deer set to make a little winter scene.

WRBF-4445-2014

With an embossed dot background I swiped white ink over top of the kraft paper to create a snowy background look.  After cutting with Spellbinders A2 Curved Borders One, I simply staged the scene in between two pieces of the border.   The little tab in the top left corner came from  Spellbinders A2 Valiant Honor.   I colored the little deer with copic markers.   Lots of fun!

I’ve been a huge fan of yours for quite some time. I love the way you create. I have purchased many stamp sets, die collections and even ribbon and accessories due to your beautiful cards and other paper creations. I am not very talented at creating, so when I see what I like, I CASE or copy (I only do this when giving to a family member or close friend and I give credit on the back). Thank you so very much for all your inspiration! You are truly one of God’s precious gifts to this world.ReplyCancel

  • Carole ThrasherSeptember 26, 2014 - 6:33 pm

Becca- these are tee-rific!! I think my creativity would be all out by now!! A while back you mentioned you usually purchase large sheets of the gold foil paper then cut it to size, so I wanted to let you and others know that Hobby Lobby usually does have the 12″ X 12″ size gold foil scrapbook paper. You may have to hunt for it– it is usually in the specialty papers in not only gold, but red, green silver and sometimes royal blue!! It is a bit expensive, but they often have 1/2 price sales, so I try to stock up then!! “Tis the season–and just a tiny bit of such fancy paper adds a wonderful element as you so well demonstrate!! Thanks for continuing to share with us all!! All the best to you!ReplyCancel
