Hiya sweet friends! First of all, don’t forget I have 20 clear cases I’m giving away and you have until Saturday to leave a comment – to get to that post click HERE. Well, it’s officially fall so now I feel better strutting out Christmas and winter cards. You are in for a treat for the next three days as we kick off the Waltzingmouse Stamps September 2014 previews. The previews all lead up to release day which is Sunday, September 28th – at which time all of the products we’re showing will be available to see in full and purchase on the Waltzingmouse Stamps website. My first card is a small filigree card using a new Waltzingmouse Stamp set called Little Deer and using Spellbinders Labels 42 Decorative Accents.
This is an easy card and it’s on the small size coming in at 4-3/8″ square! You can see how I make hinged bases from filigree dies on the Hinged Base Tutorial HERE. To make the card I simply made a hinged filigree card base and layered with another element from Labels 42 Decorative Accents and Spellbinders Classic Squares LG. I adore the little birdhouse! After stamped, I simply colored with copic markers.
SUPPLIES I USED |
Stamps: Waltzingmouse Stamps – Little Deer (Available 9/28) Paper: Neenah Classic Crest,Natural White Smooth 80 lb Cardstock, Papertrey Ink – Pure Poppy Ink: Versafine Onyx Black and Clear Embossing Powder Accessories: Spellbinders Labels 42 – Decorative Accents, Spellbinders Classic Squares LG, Recollections Pearls, Satin Ribbon, Copic Markers, The Paper Studio Gems |
For my second card (5-1/2″ x 7-1/2) again I’m using the whimsical Little Deer set to make a little winter scene.
With an embossed dot background I swiped white ink over top of the kraft paper to create a snowy background look. After cutting with Spellbinders A2 Curved Borders One, I simply staged the scene in between two pieces of the border. The little tab in the top left corner came from Spellbinders A2 Valiant Honor. I colored the little deer with copic markers. Lots of fun!

Hi Becca. The first card is gorgeous, so delicate and the second one is just as cute as a button : ) Take care.
Good morning Becca,
The first card is absolutely beautiful and, thanks to you, I have made quite a few cards with various filigree dies and they are always so well received. People usually think that I’ve bought them!
The second card is delightful and perfect for all the children’s Christmas cards which I make for charity. I can see that I’m going to be busy!
Thank you xx
Oh Becca – these are so elegant and beautiful with your lovely die cuts and incredibly creative way you have added your personal style to these images. They are so gorgeous!
Love your 9/25 post, it is so simple looking and yet so elegant. Thank you for sharing. With all the wonderful new stamps and dies coming out who wouldn’t wish for them all and the time to play with them. Hope you have a creatively wonderful day!
Becca, wonderful card! They reflect the magic of winter, even nose fawn pokrasel frost and snow!
Good afternoon Becca,
oh how i love your ivory and red card with the bird house on it, it is so pretty and makes a beautiful card base this lovely die set. Baby Rudolph looks so cut as a fawn just exploring his wood covered with snow. Thank you for the lovely inspiration,
Love and crafty hugs

Oh so beautiful!
I’ve been a huge fan of yours for quite some time. I love the way you create. I have purchased many stamp sets, die collections and even ribbon and accessories due to your beautiful cards and other paper creations. I am not very talented at creating, so when I see what I like, I CASE or copy (I only do this when giving to a family member or close friend and I give credit on the back). Thank you so very much for all your inspiration! You are truly one of God’s precious gifts to this world.
Very well and brilliantly-made cards that are so eye catching. The hinged one is a standout–so unique and classy.
Every one of your cards seem like a celebration of the gift of creativity – and are terrific inspirations, Becca. Thank you for being so good to all of us by giving of yourself!
WOW!!!!! Great cards today!!!! The best…..crisp, clean, and simple but elegant!!! You rock Becca!! Now these cards can be cased!!
Thank you!
I think I FORGOT to comment on your cards yesterday Becca! (I MUST BE getting OLD! LOL) SUPER CUTE!!!! SO DIFFERENT from your normal cards! BUT, they are SUPER CUTE!!! ;D
Becca- these are tee-rific!! I think my creativity would be all out by now!! A while back you mentioned you usually purchase large sheets of the gold foil paper then cut it to size, so I wanted to let you and others know that Hobby Lobby usually does have the 12″ X 12″ size gold foil scrapbook paper. You may have to hunt for it– it is usually in the specialty papers in not only gold, but red, green silver and sometimes royal blue!! It is a bit expensive, but they often have 1/2 price sales, so I try to stock up then!! “Tis the season–and just a tiny bit of such fancy paper adds a wonderful element as you so well demonstrate!! Thanks for continuing to share with us all!! All the best to you!
just loved you card so lacy ,and elegant super regards wendy
