Hi there blog friends! I’m back, it was great to a catch up on real life after so much fun in July. Congratulations – we had a winner for the Artisan Explorer offered for the Grand Finale (see giveaway page) and it will be on it’s way this week. Thanks to all for playing along!
This week I ventured out and as you can imagine, the craft stores are getting ready for Christmas – I love it when they start bringing everything out and I start dreaming of what my Christmas decorations will look like this year. Well, it was enough to inspire me to pull out new dies and make a Christmas Card using Quietfire Design – We Are Like Snowflakes. I’m Using Spellbinders 5 x 7 Holly Frame that I cut and also stenciled. Inside the frame created I layered Spellbinders A2 Divine Eloquence and Spellbinders Labels Four. Are you a fan of Spellbinders Layered Poinsettia? I was tickled to see a miniature version of that die as a part of the 5 x 7 Holly Frame set – and it can be styled the same way as the larger version – I used my teensy tiny poinsettia on top of the bow.
My first Christmas Card of the season! Isn’t it time to get started?
Rubber Stamps: Quietfire Design – We Are Like Snowflakes
Craft Paper: Neenah Classic Crest 80lb Smooth – Natural White. Gold Foil Paper, My Minds Eye – Vintage Christmas
Ink: Amuse Studio – French Roast
Accessories: Spellbinders 5 x 7 Holly Frame, Spellbinders A2 Divine Eloquence, Spellbinders Labels Four, May Arts Silk Ribbon, The Paper Studio Pearls and Gems
Thanks for stopping by, I’ll see you soon!!
As I opened up your blog, the wow factor hit big time Becca!! An absolutely stunning card. Congratulations to Lisa Duggin on winning the grand prize after the fantastic 30 days of giving.

Pretty! I love all the detail on the edges.
Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous! I just love Christmas cards!! When I first started making cards, Christmas cards were my first project – 125 of them. Nothing like starting out with a bang! Christmas cards remain my favorite! Me thinks I HAVE to get this die & try to re-create your card… Thanks for the inspiration~
Oh yes, what a gorgeous card! I am such a fan of the Layered Poinsettia die. It has to be a classic don’t you think, Becca? They are just something that have to be in my crafty ‘stash’! I am loving the new holly frame. Great for me as I don’t have as much time as I would like to make cards.
OOh my this is so sooo beautiful Becca. I know I say that every time, but I´m still in awe about how you can keep on and on making your cards even better and more gorgeous each time, and this is breath taking in my worlkd, that´s for sure. Such wonderful work. I really need to find this dieset here too, as I have always wished the poinsettia was in a smaller version, so it just has to come here and live with me. It´s sooo beautiful and soo sweet as everything you ever makes LOL:
Have a wonderful time and I´ll look forward to see many more stunning christmascards here from your hands hun.
Totally forgot to say Biiiig congrats to the lucky winner here of the Artisan Explorer, but now it´s done ha ha ha.
Oh my goodness!! I am in love with this card Becca!! I would love to display this in my home!! Can it be purchased?? LOVE!!!
Hugs…
So beautiful. Love the little pop of red. I think it makes the card so gorgeous.
What a beautiful Christmas card Becca. I too love making Christmas cards and make ab
Oops! I must have pressed the wrong button! I intended to say I make about 150 Christmas cards plus some that I make for my sister. However, I now make them all year round. I would be quite happy to make nothing but Christmas cards … lol! The holly frame is super so I will probably look for that. Congratulations to Lisa! Hugs Christine xx
Beautiful card. I too am looking forward to all the Christmas goodies. I have the layered poinsettia die and have made a few cards with it already. Love the way you used the mini version.

Absolutely stunning Christmas card, Becca! Each of your designs outshines the last one. Wish I had that many ideas inside of my head. Lol. Thank you so much for sharing your creations with us. I am always ready & waiting for the next one!
Awesome design. I love the sentiment. Gotta have that holly frame set. I love those sweet little poinsettias.
Wow! A stunning card and a lovely sentiment. No it’s too hot to think about Christmas cards for me yet.
Hello again! Welcome back! I missed you this week after seeing a different card and heartfelt question from you for each day of July! Hopefully, this past week, you had time to “shake off” all the emotion we dumped on you about our life stories answering your daily question each day.
I am enjoying your Christmas card today in all it’s bling. I do like that tiny poinsettia seated on your beautiful bow. Wishing you an amazing week-end.
What an elegant Christmas card, Becca. I just love the subtle red and green. Sometimes those colors are…obnoxious…on a card. Your restraint in their use has made this card so much prettier.
Becca, I love you and your cards. But tin the the land of the snowy north, NO! In August I want to enjoy the summer I have and not think about winter stuff that will be here right around the corner and stay until April.
I say this all with a smile on my face and my tongue in my cheek…but I will not, I repeat, WILL NOT start Christmas cards until October!
But feel free to share your lovely Christmas cards cause they are so lovely
Sincerely, Lisa
Hi Becca, what a beautiful card, well worth waiting for.
Love Christmas and am now into making table decorations and cracker for Christmas, so it like Santa’s Grotto here at the moment.

Such a sweet sentiment on this card! I love the very vintage look of it all, and how you even put a whisper of red on the corners for poinsettia’s! Beautiful!

Hi Becca,
Wow, another fantastic Becca Creation. Every time I discover another one of your amazing creations, I can’t help but to want to see how you would design the inside of the card. When you created the “Beautiful Inside Out” card, I was truly inspired and extremely grateful. I have learned so much from you.
Thank you,
Beverley

Love it! Wish I had $ to be able to buy all these dies! Since I do not, I’ll enjoy them through your wonderful creations. Thanks for sharing.
HI BECCA,
Beautiful card and the little pointsetta is adorable. I have the full size one which I also love.
It is definitely time to start the Christmas cards but too engrossed in election at the moment. After Aug. 25 hope to have more time and decide what my cards will be for 2015. Really like the Holly frame so dainty. Will definitely be looking at that as a possibility. Of course excited to order your new dies; have all of them ecxcept 2. Yes I am #1 BECCA fan!

What a gorgeous card!! I’m not a major poinsettia fan but you might change my mind on that. :)
An absolute stunning card Becca. Glad you are back and we can enjoy your beautiful designs! Love the Holly frame just gorgeous.Take care Jane B.
Hi Becca,
Sooooo beautiful….love it!
Hugs Ellen
I love this card! Again, one of my favorites and especially Christmas cards, my favorite time of year. Just gorgeous!
Ooh, first Christmas card! Now we all have to get busy! Pretty holly frame…wish they did that in an A2 size. What is the print paper you are using? It always looks so neat and just right when you use it.
I giggled…you have a typo you may want to fix. I didn’t see it in the first read…but I’m pretty sure you meant tickled about that sweet tiny poinsettia. Now I have to decide if buying the frame set is worth it for that and cutting down the frame size. It probably is! Nice to see the blog announcement again this morning. I was having withdrawals!
Thanks, Becca!
Beautiful as always, Becca!
Hi, Becca,
What a beautiful card-I love all the colorful detailing. I just read another comment and like her, I started card making, in earnest, by an annual Christmas card project. This card makes me want to start some cards now.
I want to thank you again for your “30 Days of Giving”. I can appreciate the commitment it takes to do something every day. I didn’t realize how much I would miss that daily connection. It makes me appreciate your efforts that much more!
Thank you so much for who you are and all you give!
Love and blessings,
Sandy

Another beautiful card. I love the gold on any card – just knocks it up a couple more notches. So enjoyed the July blog. Thanks again. I am taking to heart your comment about the best thing we can do is to leave comments, no matter what card site you are on. Everyone, no matter where they are in life, needs uplifting comments.
I actually misspoken Becca’s words about complementing the card bloggers you visit (it’s good to do anyway) So here is her direct quote:
“…for any blogger that gives you something of value to add to your tool arsenal or ongoing knowledge, please click on their site, visit once a day and subscribe by email. The greatest gift you can give is by keeping them strong with the favor of your visit.”
Thanks for all the ideas, hints, and directions you give each time.
So exciting that Christmas is just around the corner, I love this card. So happy when I saw this as I have ordered the Holy Frames dies. Can’t wait to try my hand at it. Love the vintage look! The sentiment is beauitiful too.

Our card making community is the greatest. Thank you all of you for the kind words. As for todays card: it makes me want to get right to making Christmas cards even if it is 97 degrees outside! Love the accents of red and gold. So elegant just like you Becca. Blessings always, Lisa

Hi Becca good to know you have had some me time all of us need that

Morning Becca, This is stunning, at first glance it looks like a photo frame, I really must get this holly frame die, I love it. I love the colours you have used, and the poinsettia is my favourite of favourites flower die.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
Hello Becca
This is such a lovely card !
I think I will try to emulate it like I did last year, you seem to make the sort of Christmas Cards that sing to me!
I will need to order some extras though!
Take care
Love Marg
This is a gorgeous card. Xx
good morning Becca,
Our first delight of the Christmas season from you is so beautiful and i like you LOVE poinsettia’s and being able to use them. The SB Holly frame set is beautiful and great the fact that it has 4 each of the smaller parts that you normally need to make the desired finished item. The My Minds Eye paper that you used is so pretty cut with the die and stencilled through with the ink and the little rhinestones in the middle of the holly and flowers just set it off prefectly. I am glad that you had as good a time putting up your works of art as we had seeing them.
From a beautiful morning here at my Ochil hills i wish you a great day,
love and crafty hugs
Norah (Glenochil Village, Scotland)
I was stunned by your card, Becca, so beautiful and full of details, and the quote is a good one too :))

Wow Becca: here we go again! Another GREAT design. When I grow up I want to create just like you. Thank you so much for your inspiration. This is going to be my Christmas Cards this year.
Oh my this is just absolutely Gorgeous!! Love the red and green touches in the framing and such pretty flower with the bow!
Stunning, elegant and gorgeous! My mouth dropped opened when I saw this card yesterday and that was on the cell phone, It’s even better on the computer today, much better. You truly have an eye for color and design!
Hugs and God Bless,
Gretchen
The vintage card is so different than what I usually see you make. It is beautiful and I love the lace and flowers you used. I also like the different layering. The biggest thing I have learned about crafting is I don’t need it all. It is rather hard when the new things come out and it is really hard to pass up. If I had to start again I would just have my must have and not bother with all the other stuff. Can’t pass up the Spellbinders especially when I see them on your cards then I MUST buy it. Thanks for all your sharing.
I love your card today as I do all the ones you design. I love flowers, butterflies, and lace and vintage things and
this card has all those elements so what’s not to like!
The thing I have learned from crafting is to make things that you like in the color, style, etc. that you prefer and don’t worry about what others think. As long as you like it and have enjoyed making it that is what crafting is all about.
Absolutely beautiful card. Love the little red gems.
Absolutely love the new holly die! Gorgeous card!
Oh Becca – This card is just so beautiful. Love everything about it. Thanks for sharing your beautiful work with us.
Hi Becca,
Love how you colored the label and then stamped. This is a technique I have seen and want to learn, as it is such a softer effect than the plain color Thank you for your inspiration and design ideas. Looking forward to your new release in Sept. Hope the website will have the store open by then.
Blessings to you!
