Good morning sweet friends, a card today but also something I need to talk to you about! Thank you so much for being understanding over my test post yesterday. The reason that I sent it was to test to see if people who subscribe through a reader were still getting my posts.
Let me explain – there are changes afoot in blogland and most of you won’t be affected, but some of you will. There are two kinds of subscribers here at Amazing Paper Grace – I outline them below:
Amazing Paper Grace Email Subscriber – Every time I write a post you get a notification that pops up within the hour, in your email.
Nothing changes for you – you are all good. As a matter of fact, please don’t change a thing – I’m getting ready to offer random giveaways through this venue because it’s easy to randomly pick a name from this list.
Amazing Paper Grace Reader Subscriber – When I write a new post it appears in your reader program, the next time you open your reader program.
If you are using Google Reader as your method to subscribe, Google Reader is being retired on July 1st and the list of all the blogs you subscribe to will go away with it. If this is you, I encourage you to go to www.Feedly.com (or www.bloglovin.com) and download their reader program. I’m very familiar with Feedly and when you sign in with your gmail account that you used for Google Reader, it will automatically ask if it can save your blog list. Yay!!
No matter what reader you use, please make sure that your subscription to my blog is www.amazingpapergrace.com and not http://feeds.feedburner.com/amazingpapergrace/tsap. I love my readers and don’t want anyone to go missing, lol!!
Yes, you can do both but in todays uncertain climate with Google Reader going away, email subscription is a stable bet!
Okay, enough of that, today I’m sharing a card that I made earlier this week to share on my sweet friend Janet’s blog, I didn’t think she would mind me sharing it here. I’ve been a customer of Janet’s since last year but didn’t know her until you all asked about the paper that I used on my Filigree Box and Card ensemble. Since then, I’ve kind of fallen head over heels into her collections at ByDigitalPaper on Etsy. Her paper lives right here on my computer where I can get to it in a heartbeat to find the right page for my project!! Using her Bellissima panel (which I enlarged), I backed it up with Spellbinders 5 x 7 Detailed Scallops. Using the same layer of Bellissma, I fussy cut the roses around the perimeter then used my Spellbinders Classic Ovals LG to cut the rest of the border while inside I used the tall oval from Spellbinders Radiant Rectangles. Ha, this might be the second time I’ve ever said ‘fussy cut’ on this blog because it’s something I rarely do but I wanted the dimension of the roses. I backed my oval layer up with Spellbinders Floral Ovals.

lovely ……
Thanks for the heads up, I’m good getting it through email :), but I don’t know what to do about my blog now, oh how I don’t like change :(
Your card is just Gorgeous, such lovely paper and design, terrific layering of the dies, I see I need to get that detailed scallops die now
Becca,
Could you describe “fussycut?” Do you mean cutting out the roses and butterflies by hand?
Mstgane
Ann
Yes Ann, to ‘fussy cut’ is to isolate a motif and cut it out by hand :-)
I didn’t have a die the shape of the roses or butterflies so I simply cut around the edges with a pair of scissors!
Really lovely. I love the vintage feel of this card. The mini doily tucked behind the mulberry roses, along with the fussy cut roses are such beautiful details that give that sense of nostalgia.
Thanks for the info on how to transfer. I was wondering how to do that. I have almost 300 blogs and I sure didn’t want to try to find them all over again. Most appreciated.
Absolutely gorgeous and very vintage looking – love it.
What a lovely card! I’m going to check those digital papers out on etsy. Thanks for sharing.
Bonjour,
ADA
Another stunner, Becca! I’m happy that I won’t be affected by the coming changes to your blog – can’t wait to see what’s up!
You know this card looks like it could be hung on a wall as a masterpiece. Wow, I wish so much the tv people out in tv land would find you and offer you a position to start your own show. I don’t want to be mean but you are a better crafter, teacher and artist than what’s on the do it yourself channel now. HANDS DOWN….. Thanks for letting us know about the change…I don’t want to be lost in blog land either. : )
ANOTHER GORGEOUS CARD BECCA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW!!!!!!!!!!!:)
THANKS for telling us about Blog land….. I would NEVER EVEN KNOW if people like you didn’t say anything! :) It helps to know these things even though, I’m COVERED!!!!;)
HAVE A SUPER DAY!!!!!!!!!!!:)
Not sure why Google is getting rid of reader with all the subscribers — oh well — progress I guess!
Love your beautiful card as always. Have a wonderful day Becca.
What a fabulous card! It’s just got “it”. Not sure what “it” is, other than a special quality than one feels rather than sees. It’s understood that your card has got all the beautiful qualities that we’ve come to enjoy with your artwork. But it’s got something even more. Nice.
Opps, I always end with God bless and I hit the send button too soon, so “God bless” Denice
I’m on email so no problems for me, thank goodness. I love this creation and her papers are beautiful. I love how you mix dies and always get inspired by your cards. Thanks so much!!
Your designs are always “over the top” and that paper is just beautiful!
Love the card. As always you have outdone yourself. The designer paper is wonderful.
I’m on your email list and glad I don’t have to do anything extra. But thanks for the tip on the new reader. All set up now for all the other blogs I like to visit.
What a beautiful creation – and thanks for the trouble of explaining the blog change.
Hugs

This card is beautiful Love looking at your cards. I was wondering how you mail your cards so they don’t ge ruin.
Hi Becca – Every element in your creations merit applause. No detail goes onto the piece without perfect placement. I love every single thing you make. Maybe in ten years I will reach 50% of your capabilities, and to see far outside the usual realm like you do.

I’m a longtime fan and am expecting your Filigree Delight die set to arrive from Amazon today. I have the Radiant Rectangles which I bought because I saw the fabulous cards you made using them. I’m totally thrilled that I can use them not only in cards but to frame my scrapbook journaling blocks. Thank you for your inspiration and God Bless you!
This is just stunning. I love the dp.
Thanks. I love your card is so inspiring. Have a splendidly day. Hugs
Gorgeous!!! Gorgeous, so very gorgeous. OK, and some more gorgeous. This is just such a … GORGEOUS … card. Love every single detail of it. Thank you, Becca!!
Beautiful card. Thanks for sharing. God bless.
always such beautiful work. I admire your talent…
Beautiful card Becca! No surprise there! I love the soft hues on this one. Your sentiments are always touching.
I’m good on the blog thing. I get you through email notifications.
Have a great day!
I probably need to start my own version of “AA”…”amazing paper grace addiction program” :-).. because the first thing I do when I wake up is to look at the email on my phone (conveniently placed on my nightstand) to see if you’ve posted another card ! So love your work. How did you use spellbinder to cut the oval without chopping off the flowers and butterflies? Did you use a shim ?
Another beautiful card. I learn so much from you. I ordered some of Janet’s papers and they are just divine! By “fussy cut” I am assuming you cut the flowers out?
Wow! So gorgeous Becca!
hugs…
Oops, just read the comments. I too use “fussy cuts.”
I really love this card. You do such a great job adding dimension to everything. Love it.
HI Becca, another simply stunning card. I actually posted a question on the previous card and thought I was posting it here. If you can could you please tell me what kind of a printer you use to print out the digital papers. They are just lovely. Thanks so much. Blessings, Linda
Becca you never fail to amaze me with what you come up with. Just love this stunning card. Thanks also for the warning re the blog.
Hugs Trish.
Becca your cards amaze me and put such a smile on my face. This one definitely didn’t disappoint.
Thanks!
Breathtaking Becca!!! Truly inspiring ((hugs)). I’m good with email and also feedly :) Have a great week!!!
Becca your cards are stunning and your blog is my all time favorite. My only compliant is as a direct result of your cards….I spend way too much money, lol.
Thank you for sharing your creativity with all of us.

Hi Linda:
Could you possibly check out this recent post – I think it will answer your question… :-)
https://www.amazingpapergrace.com/courage-does-not-always-roar/
There are many alternatives to Feedly. I decided to use The Old Reader (theoldreader.com) as my new blog reader. It is based on a former incarnation of Google Reader, and while it’s not fancy, it suits me just fine. It can import subscriptions from Google Reader, too.
Morning Becca, Love it !! your card is so beautiful, and the digital paper is stunning. Your sentiment, as always, is so poignant, truly beautiful.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
Early this year I recognized that I had to do something to replace Google Reader, it’s sad because it was such a great reader. I’m not a Twitter or Facebook kind of gal and don’t use my tablet for e-mails and such, I’m too afraid if it gets lost or stolen that I will have privacy issues. I’m a PC as they say and use WIndows. So I checked some other readers out and settled on FeedDemon. It works well for me and has been for some time. I got your post yesterday and have had no issues since I started using FeedDemon several months ago. Just an FYI for any readers who are facing the change.
What about Feedblitz? Is that Google? That is how I get all my blogs sent. Your cards are always so gorgeous! I certainly don’t want to miss any of them!
Becca your cards are the prettiest and most elegant I have seen. You are so talented and gifted. Just look at God.
That card is stunning!! I love the brown and cream. I love the verse Turn your face to the light. That could be used for a lot of different cards/occasions. Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful cards. Hugs, Linda
I’m ready to give up. Your designs are soooo inspirational…this one I fell in love with. I have spent about three hours now printing diffferent sizes of the Bellisima which I purchased and I can’t seem to get the right size to use the spellbinders dies. I’m ready to cry too!
