Okay, I have to admit that this is a tough one but I thought it best to just tackle it head on. Happy Father’s Day – I hope you have a wonderful day planned and you treat your Husband, Dad, Son or whoever you are spending the holiday with, like a king. The girls asked if I would still make a card for their father. It didn’t feel right not to . . .
I was a little bit at a loss for what to pick, but once I went through my stash, I pulled out this set that I’ve never used. It’s from TPC and when I found it again yesterday, I thought it was beautiful and perfect for the way we are feeling. We have some family activities today, so I’m off to get ready :-)

Oh, Becca, this is a gorgeous card. Of course, I love blue & white. I love how you use those fancy tags as fancy borders. Although, you will probably shed tears today, I pray that God will give you many blessings as well. Big hugs.

What a wonderful saying. It fits perfectly, as I am sure you have many, many moments that ease the hurt. It is so hard on special holidays but your family will support each other.
What a stunning card!!! I hope you & your family have a wonderful day together, full of wonderful memories, Becca!!!
Although I am a new follower, I read back to your 2010 entries and found out what a difficult time you went through this past year. May God’s grace be so sufficient for you today, Becca. I prayed for you. May this day be a day of sweet remembrance (although it is so hard) and not a day of tears and sadness. God bless you.
The card you created is just perfect, Becca! My prayers are with you and your family today. Cherish all of the wonderful memories . . . God’s blessings! Hugs, Magi

You & your family have a wonderful day, with happy memories, and know that your Father (BOTH of them) will be with you all today. TFS this beautiful creation on a day that has to be difficult. John would be SO proud of your courage – along with all your other qualities that he must have been proud of! God Bless.

Becca!
This is SOOO NICE!!!!!!!! I’m SURE this is a day that is still difficult for your kids!!!!!! AND for yourself!!!!!!!! You’re a GOOD mother to help your kids through this time!!!! :) Your card is PERFECT for this day commemorating Fathers’ Day!!!!!!!!!! :) God Bless you & your family today!!!!!
Beautiful card from and for a beautiful life. Thinking of you and all those who’ve lost the dear men in their lives. We do remember.
Thinking of you today Becca. The card is perfectly beautiful….
What an exquisite card. I love the sentiment, it is perfect. After I lost my father I would be hit by waves of overwhelming grief. My way of getting past it was to make myself remember special moments with him, I have so many. I let memories of moments when he’d made me laugh or even when he would tease me and made me angry replace memories of his illness and death. After a while I was able to push all the sad memories so far back they seldom enter my mind. I’ve since employed that tactic after loosing my granddaughter and my mother. I hope you and your family’s day will be filled with wonderful memories of John.
Blessings Bernie
This is a stunning card.
Beautiful card, Becca! I know today must be very hard, but this is the perfect card for John! From reading your blog, he seemed like a very specail man!

Hi Becca,
Remembering you in prayer today as I know it has to be a tough one, especially the first year. How God blesses us to give us such wonderful moments to remember and to treasure. Those memories have to be enough for now but one day you will be reunited…that’s His promise.
Love and blessings, Janice
You are in my thoughts and prayers today. How sweet that your girls still wanted a card for their dad and you honored their wish with a beautiful work of art.
Just beautiful Becca. Prayers.

Becca
Your work continues to be a source of inspiration to me. My Dad passed away on January 17th, 2011 and today, June 19th is my birthday. I bought my Dad a Father’s Day card anyway, just as I have always done because he is still my Daddy, just like your husband is to your daughters. In addition to buying a card, you have just inspired me to make one. I love your blog and your work and may God continue to bless your talent.
Thanks for the continued inspiration :)
My heart aches for you and your girls, I do know how it feels to experience the “firsts” after losing my Dad and know you have so many of your “blog family” who love you and are praying for you. I think it was very special to make this card to honor your husband and your girls’ Dad, and the sentiment said it all, how appropriate and lovely.
I’ve been so impressed with your strength, and I know you are depending on the foundation of Christ, He is our solid rock, and what you place on that foundation will never let you down.
I’ve learned so much from you, and thank you for all you’ve taught me. I find cardmaking to be a wonderful therapy, I really never thought I had any ability artistically, my ability was all in music performance (flute, I worked as a professor in music at a university), but now that I’ve been disabled from a car accident and not able to work, my cards have provided me with a very surprising artistic vehicle for expression, it’s impossible to compare my passion for music with this crafting, so I simply look upon it as a bonus and as a blessing. I’m improving, but have a very long way to go. I’ve started a little gallery on SCS under 905lovestostamp, and hope to start a blog at some point. This stamping/cardmaking community is such a loving and giving one, I’m constantly amazed to see so many talented artists like yourself giving away your secrets of success.
My main goal, other than relaxing and doing something artistic, is to be constantly learning and improving, and to be an encouragement by sending my cards off to someone who needs one. It was a bit of a wrench letting my cards go, for I’d look at them in astonishment that I could actually create something beautiful (my cards are very simple, especially in comparison with yours), so taking photos helps, plus this way I have a tangible record of my road of hopefully improving my cardmaking. It’s often a great way of distracting me from my constant physical pain as well, and I’m grateful for that. I was so busy before, I can’t imagine I’d have ever taken the time to make cards, and now I hope to make a bit of a mission out of making cards and bookmarks–I’m doing a project to make a number of bible bookmarks for friends of my late grandparents, some were my first sunday school teachers, and I owe them a lot. I’ve just started making them, so they are definitely works in progress, but then so are my cards! Coloring is my focus now because it needs the most work, and I’m learning to be much more aware of the folds of a floral blossom and how the shadows and light fall upon it, it’s an amazing journey!
Thank you again for not only sharing your artistic talents, but your abundance of faith and joy even in the midst of what I know has to be a lot of sorrow, the grief of losing your husband and your girls’ father is one that is deep, and I know that it is only with your Savior’s help that it is possible to walk through such a difficult path–He really DOES carry us when we feel we cannot go another step as is in Footprints. You are one amazing role model in every way, Becca, as an artist, a christian, and as a strong woman who is helping her daughters and herself heal. Know that you and your family are in my prayers, I hope you don’t mind I left such a long note, but you’ve touched me and encouraged me, both artistically and spiritually, I’m so grateful.
Thank you, Becca, for sharing so much with all of us.
Blessings,
Joanne
Becca my toughts and prayers are with you and your family. These first’s are hard days. My mom past away in March and we were not able to do the enternment until Mother’s day weekend. I was a wreak in church on Sunday, Mother’s Day but my christian friends were such a great comfort. Then a few weeks ago my brother-in-law’s life partner chose to end her life. Its so sad that she felt there was no other choice. We are all grieving that now also. God is are rock.
Thank you for sharing your feelings today. No words can explain how hard it is sometimes. I’m glad you made that card. It is perfect – not only for you but for those of us who are going through similar situations. Your faith will help you move through the stages of grief and know that there is an angel beside you each step of the way. Sincerely, Beverly.
Beautiful card! Thinking of you today!
Becca, you will never know this side of heaven how many lives you have been an inspiration to in so many ways. Your site is beautiful, your cards are exquisite, your spirit is so sweet and your courage so admirable. I prayed today for you for extra grace to make it through this day with a gentle comfort to your soul. As usual, this card is amazing, and you are amazing for sharing such a tender time for you with us. Bless your heart.
Becca,
My heart aches for you. My prayers and thoughts are with you. I pray that today would be a day filled with sweet memories and thoughts that bring laughter, love and a peace that only God can bring.
Becca, I love this card!!!
It is good that your Daughters wanted you to make a card for their Dad and your sweet husband.
I have two boys 35 and 40 and they never even mentioned their Dad to me on his birthday 6-15 and our anniversary 6-17,I spent them alone. I tried to call them today but neither answered for what ever the reason. WE all are different, some think you should be over it by now. My sweetie past Halloween day 2007 and most think I should be over him by now. I don’t think you can get over someone when they took your heart when they went on to a better place.
God Bless you today and everyday. I wish for you…peace.
God bless you for your transparency and sweet heart. Your card is beautiful. ;)
Beautiful in the blues. Hugs
I am in awe of your strength today, Becca. I have 3 daughters who lost their father several years ago. I am annually reminded that I must have done something right in raising them because every Father’s Day each of them call to wish my husband ( their stepfather) a Happy Father’s Day. You have no idea the mixed feelings that I have on days like this, but my husband calls them “our” girls. God bless you for reminding me how special that is.
Love this card. I love the blue that is sort of distressed.
Thinking of you and your family today. Remember the happy times you had, and do not let your memories fade.
Becca you did well – such a difficult moment for you – {{{{hugs}}}}
Such a sweet and difficult thing to do. My thoughts are with you and your children today.
God bless you, Becca. It has to be a hard day for you. I lost my father in February, so I am not much in the mood to celebrate. But, you do have a beautiful card.

you and your family. My heart goes you to you.

Oh Becca……it would be a hard day for you. My prayers are with you and the family but I agree this card is perfect for your hubby. It does not matter if our hubbies are with us or mothers etc., a card on their day is still perfect. Our memories will never fade. As I remember my grandpa today as his was my father figure and gave me away at my wedding. Happy Dads day Grandpa. Thank you for always sharing yourself with us Becca. We love you. Hugs. And always God bless you.
OMGGG! Marvelous!!!
kisses
Beautiful blue and cream card. Reminded me of distressed denim look. I pray your memories are beautiful also, and a great reminder to cherish each moment we share with loved ones.

Becca,
God’s grace is suffiicent to get us through the rough times. Holidays are always sad after losing a loved one. My brother passed away unexpectly in February. I text his son this morning just to let him know that I was thinking about him today. I knew it would be hard today for him. They were extremely close.
You are so fortunate that your family is there for you as you are for them. You have been so open about your feelings. Thanks for sharing a card to day in memory of your dear husband. I lift you up to the heavenly Father to surround you with his arms of love.
I know that you have many, many moments to remember. This is a lovely card and a tribute to John. I’m glad that you are spending today with family. Hope that you had a fun day to add more moments to remember. Thanks for sharing some of them with us.
Hugs,

Hi Becca, I understand that today is difficult for you and your family. John would love this card. Enjoy your day with your family knowing that John is smiling down on all of you. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers

What a beautiful card, and a touching sentiment. I’m sure this is an extremely difficult day for you and your children. You continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.
This was such a beautiful card and the sentiment is so very true. Thank you for sharing.
Beautiful card. John would have loved it. Hugs to you.
Becca… this is another one of my favorites of yours!! More contrast again so everything shows up. I love this shade of blue… it’s just a super card!!
Absolutely GORGEOUS card, Becca! I love the soft colors and your design is lovely!
As always, thanks so much for the inspiration ~ Have a great day ~ Barb
Becca it is a beautiful card and the sentiment is perfect. Holidays are the most difficult time after a loved one has passed. I would like to believe that John is looking down and admiring his card . Hugs to you and your children
Hi Becca ,
I think this is really stunning. All of your cards are beautiful but for me some stand out more than others and I love, love, love this!
I have just voted in your poll and I just wanted to say that here in the UK we have a 24 hr craft channel called create and craft where we get to see and buy new things. Also QVC UK has regular craft days where we get to stock up on lovely Kanban goodies among other things. There is no craft shop where I live so online is just brilliant.
Good Wishes
Cynthia
I thought about you leading up to yesterday. It would have been a difficult one. Firsts are the the worst. You did an outstanding job on your card; even more special given the circumstances. As they say here in La Belle Province “Bon Courage”, Becca.
HI Sweetie,
John would be so pleased Becca. Your card is such a testament of your love for him and your Heavenly Father. I hope that you and your children had a day filled with blessed memories and joy.
You are always an encouragement to me and I lift you up to our Lord continually. Thank you for all you do to share your art and life with us.
Hugs,
Deb
Hey Becca, I hope you enjoyed being with your family yesterday. I know how hard it must have been for you all.
You’re right about this new poll, I do use them all! It was hard to choose as it’s been a very long time since I bought anything more than adhesive! Thank heaven’s for my stash and my magazines! They keep me from having withdrawal issues!!!! lol
Thanks and have a good day!
Hugs, Jessica
Beautiful, love the blue tones and design, :) Lori m
love your Father’s day card. Who is TPC stamps??? never heard of them and that is a gorgeous stamp. re your new poll, i shop by each of those methods, but mostly from internet because i’m homebound for the most part due to disability and can only go real shopping when someone can go w me. and most of the stores around here have closed, we do have some big box stores but they don’t carry much.
Becca,
I am sorry I was not home this weekend to comment on your beautiful cards. I think of you often & pray that God will lift you up at times & days such as this.
With love,
Vicky S
Beautiful card. I love that sentiment. We lost a beloved “second Dad” to our family at Christmas. I found an album with the title “Moments” on it that I made into a memory book for the funeral and my favourite page was a photo of him walking out of our cottage last summer with my husband. I found a rub-on with a very similar sentiment: “You never know when you are making a memory”. It was the last photo I took of him. My prayers to you and your girls as you remember your beloved John.
oh, that’s very nice. I miss my sons father, too
Your card is beautiful. I bought this stamp awhile back and haven’t used it yet. Now that I see how lovely it looks I am so glad I bought it and am very inspired to get it out and put it to use.
Thank you for sharing! :)
Hello,
I love your work! The Spellbinders Parisian work is amazing! I am thinking of getting their nestabilities, shapeabilities, and impressabilites. What die cut machine do you use?
I don’t like the big one Spellbinders uses. I saw a Cuttlebug and a Big black and pink one that looked good.
Thanks for any advice you can give!
Elaine
Such a beautiful card, Becca, for such a beloved husband and father.
I hope that you and the family had a blessed day together.
Prayers are with you all.
Hugs

I think it is lovely that you made a card; we honour those we remember. Thank you.
it is beautiful and just perfect, love the stamping and the ornate detailing, hope you enjoyed a nice day with your familly :)
A beautiful card Becca. So pleased you were sharing the day with your family. I am sure you have many wonderful moments to remember.
LOL Eileen
Thinking of you and your family and you are in my prayers. Thanks be to God for the gift He has given of you to all of us out here
A beautiful and very fitting card, Becca! I know it must be soo difficult…my husband lost his father on Father’s Day a few years back and really the best things are his memories and being able to express them, so I hope you and your kids were able to do just that on such a day as this. And, of course, the knowledge of knowing he’ll see him again is heaven gives the most comfort. I’ll be praying for that “peace that passes all understanding” for you and your family! Enjoy those memories!
