Good morning blog friends! Well . . .with all the excitement of the sneak peeks this week, I wanted to show you what happens . . . when one sneak peek meets another!! (I love it when that happens!!) Earlier this week Spellbinders revealed Card Creator – a set of die templates that gives you perfect layers for your A2 card. For CHA, JustRite Papercrafts is releasing a Christmas Background that matches the Card Creator system and you get to see the sneak peek right now :-). It conveniently has borders that match the cut lines on Card Creator so that from one background you can cut multiple layers with Card Creator, pop each layer up to give them dimension, add a sentiment and your card is complete. That’s my kind of easy. I’ve been hankering to play around with this, and this stamp was very recently pried from the hands of my sweet mailman.
Now you know I make big cards so I was absolutely thrilled to see that I could still use Card Creator for my layers. Measuring 5.5″ wide by 6.5″ tall, I used Card Creator for my uppermost layers and for the inside of the card. I like really tight layers so I used both Spellbinders™ Matting Basics A and Spellbinders™ Matting Basics B. And for the extra special touch I stamped my sentiment on an accent piece from Spellbinders™ Fancy Ribbon Threader Card Creator. By looking at the stamp, you can see how the layers separate out – depending on which Card Creators you choose you can cut the frames different ways. The new Card Creators are the answer to my layer cutting headaches! I really appreciate all the companies who have partnered with Spellbinders to create even more ways to enjoy card making.

Count me in for taking an online class with you! See we got you going on a new adventure! The layering on this card is awesome! Lots of it to make colors pop! As a side note- is there a way to cut out the middle parts of the layering card stock so it can be used for another card? Seems like a lot of beautiful paper hidden just for an 1/8th of an inch exposure. Just a thought; you know how we all are in the frugality department! This card is beautiful and I can’t wait til the new dies are relased!
My, my! What will they come up with next? Designers are getting smarter and smarter about what we want. Can you think back to before the different machines came out? How much more technical the objects we create are! I can only imagine. What fun!

The other day when I saw the intro video for the Card Creator die collection, it just absolutely blew my mind. Talk about well thought-out! And how great it is that stamps are being designed to really play off the clever concept of these dies? Thanks for the wonderful example of the two in action!

Very classy card, Becca. I’ve got to read more about the new Spellbinders–don’t quite get it yet. Are they basically rectangles that have smaller increments? I’ll dig some more. Anyway, it’s day 5 here of non-stop rain–or rather non-stop waves of it–in west central FL. Are you gettin’ tired of it yet? I think we got spoiled with the perfect winter and spring we had. I don’t know about where you are, but with the waves of rain comes high winds–it’s been a crazy ride…
