Can I just tell you that I think this is my very, very favorite Quietfire Sentiment . . . that is until the next set of stamps comes out he…he…. Seriously, I have been waiting to ink this stamp up and then I remembered this lovely print paper I had been holding aside for a special occasion. So here it is – the stamps is called "When You Get to the End".
The sentiment is large enough to be the focal part of the card, so I decided to do port holes with ribbon down the left side of the card to balance it out a bit. I filled some of the bottom with a panel of pearls across the bottom. The ribbon in the port holes is secured at the top and bottom and then each piece of ribbon is tied around the vertically secured ribbon. If you are so inclined you can glue a bow there, I’m partial to actually tying them on to something.
Tip: This is a 5" x 7" card, and my preference is for top hinged cards – many have asked how I do that. I used an 8 1/2 x 11" sheet of paper, cut landscape at 5" and 10" giving two panels that are 8.5" x 5". One of the panels is cut down to 7" x 5" and the other panel is scored at 7" along the short side and the flap folded down along the back. I then glue that flap on top of 7" x 5" panel. It gives me a seam on the inside, back panel of the card which is high enough it can easily be covered with a border.

Oh one of my favourite sentiments too. It is lovely to see how you use them on your cards, sometimes we don’t seem to be able to get the best out of these wonderful sentiment stamps. You show us the way Becca,
My son got married on 27th August and I bought some stamps from Quietfire on your recommendation, everyone loved the card. Bless you. xx

Everything about this one just flows together so smoothly. I’ve not seen the sentiment before and must agree with you in that it is probably the best ever written…and it’s for a stamp!!

Amazing, as in Grace…your creations are very elegant and soothing to the eye! The softness of this card, along with the sentiment should be put in a frame!

Oh my, that’s pretty. Love the portholes, and the sentiment. At first when I read your tip about making your card that size I thought,”Huh?”
But after re-reading it, the light bulb went on, and I thought , “Oh, now I get it! Cool!” Having the shot of the card slightly opened helped me see how you did that with the border inside. Thanks for sharing your tips along with your gorgeous cards.
