Greetings!! I bet you thought I fell off the face of the blog world, hunh? My apologies – no posts since Tuesday!! There is a reason for this; I am traveling along the coast of Florida. Why? What a pretty venue for a Copic Class and the first annual Flourishes Stampers Dream Weekend!!
This is a nice refreshing break for us as we’ve not travelled in so so long. My family and I are RVing it along the coast of Florida so that I can attend the Copic Class and I actually taught a class for Flourishes yesterday. Our campsite is right below this gorgeous lighthouse in Pensacola, Florida on the Naval Air Station. The view is wonderful from here . . .
The sand along the northern gulf coast of Florida looks just like snow…okay, and I have to admit that although it rarely snows here, today it is quite cold. Cold enough that I’m wearing my parka. Ironic isn’t it?
Lucky me, I’ve figured out that I have internet at the campground so look for a post from me soon!.
Wow! What a beautiful location! I’ve always heard about the gulf coast beaches made of sugar. Your picture proves it. It looks to be beautiful. I’ve missed your posts but glad you are vacationing. I can’t wait to hear about the convention. I would love to take a class from you. Enjoy your time. I will see your posts when you get back.
Enjoy!
What lovely photos! My friend BeckyTE is at the workshop and emailed saying that she’s loved it and will be at tomorrow’s workshop too. I can’t wait to see what she’s done. Thanks for your wonderful inspiration and gorgeous work!
I’m so thankful all is well with you. I was getting worried.
Pick their brains, learn a lot & bring it back to us.
In the mean time, have a wonderful time with your family.
Don’t forget the sun screen.
You certainly had been missed Becca. Looks lovely where you are you lucky lady. I am looking forward to your next lot of inspirations you and yours enjoy your break.
At the moment I am once again tackling my darling grandson’s scrapbook time flies bye he will be a year old in May.
Hugs Kathleen
Glad you are at the beach – but a cold beach – yikes! Hope it warms up so you can enjoy it some! Have fun!
Hi! I love the pictures. I lived in Pensacola for several years while I attended Pensacola Christian College. I went to the naval museum once but never saw this light house. They next time I go up I will look for it. The beaches there are beautiful. Unfortunately, after one of the hurricanes a few years back I heard several of the beaches were washed away. The beaches in Pensacola are much more rural then other beaches in Florida. Your God given talent has really inspired me since I found your blog. Thank you for sharing with all of us. God bless!
Hi Becca! My friend Karen Wallace is there with you! She said your class was just awesome!!! Wish I could have gone too! :( I love what you do with your cards…they are truly amazing! What a beautiful place to camp! We used to RV in our younger days… miss all the unique places to visit. Can’t wait til Karen gets back to show me how you make your bows! Enjoy your trip!
girl you have fun and enjoy being with your family and the scenery is gorgeous!! missed you yesterday.!!
hugs
kay
WOW! Welcome to Florida! The Gulf beaches are the best too. Now I am wondering if you will create any “beachy” cards??? That is a lovely and unique lighthouse in the top photo??? Enjoy!
It looks gorgeous! Happy to hear that you & your family have some time off to enjoy God’s creation!
Welcome to Fla; I am in Tallahassee (about 2 hrs away)….hope you’re having a great time. If you’re still in town Friday swing by they are doing an Extreme Home Makeover here with Ty Pennington….gotta love it
Welcome to Florida. Glad you are doing o.k. I live in Central Florida, close to Sarasota/Bradenton. Hope you enjoy your visit. It will be warming up soon. It never stays cold very long. Wish I could be in the workshops.
What beautiful pictures! The beaches on the Gulf are the prettiest anywhere, and with the most beautiful sunsets, in my opinion. I hope you get to see a few of those. My husband and I used to RV down there alot, but haven’t got to go in a while now with the economy and all. :( But I hope you enjoy your trip, enjoy your classes, and look forward to “seeing” you back here soon. I agree with Mary above, makes me wonder if you will do some beach-y cards soon! With all that inspiration around, it’s bound to give you some ideas. And we know you already have an awesome lighthouse stamp!
Thanks!
Becca,
Wow what a beautiful beach. Enjoy your trip, I look forward to seeing more trip photos.

Ohhh! How cool is that!!! I forgot about the workshop! I had seen something posted about you being there!! That would be totally awesome-as I am just getting into Copics and YOU are my favorite designer!!! So glad your family got to enjoy the trip with you. Have a safe trip home!! Can’t wait to hear all about the classes and the trip!! Thanks for sharing your life with us! God Bless!
Oh my!! My hubby stayed on the Naval Air Station in Pensacola in 1996. It was his forward training camp for the Paralympics that year in Atlanta. He was part of the British Disabled Air Rifle Shooting Team. The whole team were made honorary citizens of Pensacola and he is the proud owner of a certificate to prove it. He loved the place and these photo’s are just gorgeous.
Continue to enjoy your time in the area Becca and keep the posts coming as here is one UK blogger that follows your blog daily!

Becca – sounds like you’re having an awesome time!!! We used to live there in Pensacola and in fact we lived just seconds away from Lyric Lane but we moved before Flourishes got started so I never got to meet the wonderful ladies in person! Enjoy your trip!!!! Thanks for sharing the pics of our old haunts!!!
Hugs!!!

Glad you are having a great trip and sharing your travels with all of us. I’ve been wondering why no posts and missed you. Have a fantastic trip and hurry back soon!
OH, I miss the sand and salt water! I am from St. Augustine and we’ve been in NC almost 5 years now…but my heart is always with the sea.
Yes, Becca I’ve missed your post. But as said earlier I’m glad you and your family found the time to vacation. Even though part of your vacation is teaching classes hope you got to share some private time with your family. When you said you were on the coast of Florida I thought great I may get a chance to met you. We are RVing at the Navy Base in Tampa. Enjoy your stay there.
Hey Becca….I’m over here in Gulf Breeze, across Pensacola Bay from Flourishes…but I’ve been to Flourishes to pick up my order before since I’m so close…instead of paying shipping. The ladies are so very nice. I wish I could have attended this weekend but I had work deadlines to meet. Your work is just beautiful. I hope to read about it and see pictures of what all went on there. Enjoy the beautiful Gulf Coast…it is blessing to live here in God’s creation of this part of the world.
It was so nice to meet you today! You are one of my favorites you know >”< I can’t wait for the class tomorrow…so how was the get together/mardi gras thing tonight?
Becca, Welcome to FL! I wish I could be with you in the Panhandle, and soak up the classes and talent flowing up there!!!! I, too, am in Sarasota/Bradenton on the Gulf Coast. Keep RV’ing on south, and enjoy the most beautiful beaches in the world! Have a safe trip, and I anxiously await your return to my daily computer candy! God bless you.
Welcome to Florida. Come a little farther South, it isn’t as cold. I am in Merritt Island near Kennedy Space Center and it has been chilly but not parka weather. Enjoy your time here.
Have a marvellous holiday even though it is a working one. Im sure that the break away from routine will be a good thing.
Have fun BECCA!! Have a great time at your Copic class,,, We will have to compare later… I am attending one on March 24th..
Hi Becca,
I wondered where you were. I live in Panama City Florida about 100 miles east of Pensacola. I didn’t know Flourishes was in Pensacola, I will need to come to Pensacola more often. Wish I had known you were teaching a class I would have come. Have a great time and enjoy our beautiful beaches.
Enjoy your time away, I have never been down there, hope to some day….hope it gets warmer for you!
Have fun!! Glad you are ‘teaching’….woohoo
The area certainly is beautiful. Enjoy and have fun! We are having more snow here and even a cold Florida sounds terrific.
Well Becca, I have to say that I actually was getting concerned about you!!! So glad to hear that you are fine and I’m so sorry that when you came to my state it was cold….trust me us Floridains aren’t liking it either!!!
Pam
Enjoy!…I have certainly missed your posts though. I look daily for inspiration. What a beautiful place…and RVin….how I envy you (in a nice way)
Marian
Good evening, Becca. I’m so glad all is well with you; missed you posting but I do hope you enjoy your stay in Florida. My husband and I visit Florida every year and stay on the Gulf Coast so I know the sand there is so beautiful – W ehave never got to Pensacola though; we stay near the Clearwater beach area. Your photos are lovely.
Florida is beautiful – just came from the Atlantic Coast. We saw the Ponce Inlet lighthouse over there. Beautiful! Since I am landlocked, LOVE the waves, palm trees, and beautiful white sand! Gorgeous!
Becca,
Hope you’re having a great time.
Look forward to seeing some “amazing” paper creations when you get back.
Lots of hugs,
~~Diane~~
Hee Hee…when I read your title I thought of “Where’s Waldo”…. I hope you are having a blast at Copic Class!!
We miss you Becca – so glad you are having an enjoyable time in Florida. I know we will be seeing lots of fun things with Copics now too.
Hey Becca, your post and pictures just calmed me after reading about you getting away and then teaching something you love. What a blessing that must be.
I just started my first quilt, a simple one (so they said) a rag quilt. I finally finished cutting out all those 9 inch squares (with my huband’s help) and now the sewing is so fun, I’m loving it.
Copics hmmm, I don’t own a single one. I’ve thought about it but so far I stayed away. You will probably pull me right off the wagon :)
I have been away for the weekend and could not wait to see what you created while I was gone..again amazing…
this week will be even better aai know it…
have a great day…
I recognized the lighthouse right away. I have photographed it many times myself. Kay – Pensacola. Your work is so amazing I don’t even have words to describe it’s beauty.
