Sweet friends I hope you have a fabulous day in store for you today. As promised there is a winner for the Artisan X-plorer offered on my blogaversary – name shown at the end of this post. In the meantime I have a romantic card to share today that stands in line to be used for Mothers Day but can also be used for birthday and for friendship.
I love the delicateness of the square die template I picked to fill the body of the card – Spellbinders Blooming Collection, it’s open and it’s airy and it gave me lots of room to play around as well as the feminine feel I was looking for. Next I added Spellbinders Fancy Label Tags Four and raised it with foam tape. Then I added the cut out of Spellbinders Silhouette until I realized that the negative of the Silhouette die looked much better – I cut it out with Spellbinders Classic Ovals SM and mounted it with foam tape. To finish, I popped on a the “with love” sentiment from Spellbinders Sentiments Three.
I’ve now learned that when I sit down to make flowers, I should make lots of them at one sitting. Yes, it seems hard to find the time, but that day usually ends up being one where nothing else is falling together and I feel creatively exhausted. So, from the stash I created a week or two ago, came these flowers made using Spellbinders Urban Blooms.

Just want to say congrats to the lucky winner, well done! Love your flower on this card. Have you tried using Die D-Lites Bloom 4? I curled the leaves up and left and right and the results were magic. I added the link so you can see. Thank you for your inspiration. Hugs Kim x

Wow, this card sings. It is so beautiful and might just be one of my favourites. Hmm, although everything you do is my favourite until I see the next one. I love the vintage feel. And yes, sitting down in one sitting time to make flowers is smart.
Hi Becca
I just love your beautiful cards, and this is no exception.

So very lovely and delicate!!! I purchased the Spellbinders products immediately!! Can’t wait to make the card. Hope you don’t mind that I change the background paper, etc…… Becca, you brighten my day with your beautiful cards! You are a realy inspiration to me! Also, do you know when your Arched Elegance spellbinders will be available for purchase? I too check the Spellbinders site hoping to order the Arched Elegance! You are the best!!!!!
Hi Becca,
Another beautiful card – and yes, the silhouette is much more pretty than the die cut (I think, too).
At the end of a really busy, discordant day I thought “what can I do to come down from the feeling of fight and aggression” (unfortunately unavoidable in this instance) and there was the brainwave – look my favourites’ blogs – you, Sue Wilson and Kate Lycett. AND IT WORKS, so thank you Becca.
Hugs, Rose
So beautiful Becca!
Wow!! I soooo wish you would do a tutorial on those flowers that you made! GORGEOUS!!!
Congrats to the winner!
Your card is absolutely beautiful
What a great idea to use a negative cameo over the patterned paper. Love it!
Happy for the winner! Thank you for the chance of winning Beeca love your work XXX happy weekend everyone !!!
Absolutely stunning card!
First of all Biiig congats to the lucky winner, and a biiig thanks to you Becca for the chance AND for the good laugh, when I read your last comment, cause you just wrote it exactly as I could´ve done too, and I couldn´t help it, but to tale a view around here, when I read it ha ha ha.
And now I want to say boy that card is awesome too, so there does come something great out of the “collecting” too ha ha ha. Love the beautiful dies you used to make these gorgeous frames with behind the little circel with the silouette, which also just looks fabulous. I really love this card, sooo beautiful and romantic.
You never cease to amaze – another beautiful card Becca x
Hi Becca, Congratulations to the very lucky, Jeanne.
This card is so delicate and beautiful soft pastel colours, loving how you have manipulated the flower petals, simply stunning !!
Lots of love from Patricia xx
Hi Becca
I just love this card, and have this die on order. I always look on your blog, but don’t always leave a comment. Your cards are inspirational.
Can you teach us how to make those beautiful flowers you created for this card, I looked at the dies and and I simply don’t see it.
Looks like a Victorian era card. Beautifully feminine and I agree the silhouette looks better it is just like a cameo brooch my mom use to wear on her wool coat.
Oh wow I love that delicate frame and great idea to use the negative space of the head, your flowers are just gorgeous, would love to see a tutorial on how you made them!!
Hello Becca,
This card is stunning in every way.
Congratulations to Jeanne, lucky lady.
Maureen xx
Hi Becca, a very pretty and elegant card today, your flowers are beautiful, but please, please how do you make such gorgeous bows? Regards, Linda.
PS, Congtratulations to the winner, enjoy.
Gorgeous, as always!!
I didn’t get a chance to tell you yesterday how much I love this card! Beautiful!! Paper is just fine art when you get your hands on it. Pure magic!!!
Congratulations to Jenne! I love this card….I think its because of the see through effect and the soft dreamy colors. What brand of background paper did you use? Its hard to find paper that has small soft muted colors. Beautiful Becca!
Beautiful card – I love how the background also features in the silhouette!
Congrats to Jeanne, I bet she is excited.
This is stunning Becca, really beautiful,
XxxxxxxRuth
Becca I love your beautiful cards and the detail work. I recently bought some of the spell binders intricate dies wanting to make my card prettier, but I am having trouble getting them to cut all the way through. I have a Cuttlebug I use and the sides will cut fine but the top and bottom will not cut all the way. I put shims under those areas, over the whole area, but still not cutting. What else do I need to do? What am I doing wrong?
So elegant!
Hi Becca, I love your post on ribbon organization. I just wanted to let you know that I linked up your post on mine today! I hope you don’t mind :)
Hi Becca! Your flowers are wonderful. I love how you take something as generic as a simple flower die and turn it into such a fantastic and unique bloom. Your talent just blows me away!! TFS
Wish I knew which paper you used and where you got it from…beautiful design
The wealth of your creativity abounds. May its great source always continue to inspire you. God bless.
Becca, thank you for all your beautiful cards, and for all your tutorials, they are so helpful, I was making the card with Urban Blooms you just made and I had a awful time with the flowers, could you show us how to make them? They were lovely, thank you.
Thank you,
Sharon
Beautiful!
Becca your cards are amazing. I look forward to getting your emails so I can see your beautiful cards. Thank you for the inspiration and sharing your gift
Using this as my model with these exact Spellbinder dies I want to make invitations for our ladies event at church. Can you tell me the the finished size of this card. I know it can’t be made from standard 12×12 or 8 1/2 x 11 so can you tell me how to cut my cardstock and piece it together to make the dies fit on the finished card. Thank you in advance for your help.
