Hi there friends, I’m popping in with a quick card to share today. It’s part of a gift ensemble for a friend, and I’ll be showing the gift tomorrow. My friend is someone I’ve known through thick and thin, through highs and lows so the sentiment from Justrite Papercrafts, What I Like About You was just perfect. I love how I can personalize the sentiment for any other relationship like sister, sweet heart, daughter, by just changing out my little tag (Spellbinders Charmed I’m Sure).
To showcase the sentiment I used Spellbinders Decorative Labels Eight and Spellbinders Radiant Rectangles. Behind the sentiment I stamped the framing scrolls from the stamp set onto my design paper and embossed in gold.
Here’s your Step By Step Recap of die cuts and layers, from the bottom up: Start out with a Card Base – 5-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, foam tape, gold matting layer cut to 5-1/4″ x 5-1/4″, cream layer cut to 5″ x 5, foam tape, brown matting layer cut to 4-5/8″ x 4-5/8″, design paper layer cut to 4-1/2″ x 4-1/2″, foam tape, die cut layer cut from Decorative Labels Eight in gold, foam tape, die cut layer cut from Radiant Rectangles in cream, add tag cut from Charmed I’m Sure. Add Ribbon, Bling and Button.

I am so glad you include in your repertoire some simpler in composition cards. We all need those fairly quick card ideas that look like a million bucks to send out. Have you ever though about doing some Sympathy cards; cards that are designed especially for that occasion? I send out quite a few of those so I am always looking for a way to transition a regular card to them; just trying not to look too fancy. Thanks again for your constant output of these wonderful creations that we all so enjoy and try to emulate.
