You Had Questions . . .

. . . I have answers :-)  It has been so busy in recent weeks that I’ve rushed through some of my posts and in my haste have left out some important details.  That doesn’t get me off the hook because the questions usually show up in my always overflowing email box, lol!!  I thought I would back up for a minute and clarify some of the glaring omissions I made because I’m still getting emails asking for a brand name or such.  And of course there are some questions I get all the time, so I thought I would include them in this post as well!

Several of you asked about the embossing folder used to make this card:

It is a Sizzix embossing folder from the Flourish, Dots and Ribbon Set.

Several of you asked about the embossing folder used in this card also:

It is a Sizzix embossing folder called Corners and Damask Lattice Set.

There have been many recent questions asking where to get this stand, the rhinestone display.  It is a candle holder and was sold at Michaels last year some time during their Christmas Displays.  I don’t think they still carry it in stock but  I have seen other candle holders at Hobby Lobby that would function in the same way.
Although this card was made some time ago, I still get questions about the punch used.  It was an EK Success Border Punch – Embossed Curve (EK-EKPL8030).  You can see the original post HERE, and you can see the Becca Bit on how it is made HERE.

That does it for getting caught up!!  I hope this answers your recent questions – if you had one.  I’m working of stuff in the background and hope to be back later with something to show :-)

The embossing folder on the first (red) card is sold out almost everywhere, but I found it on “its cheaper than therapy.com” for $8.39 (there are two in the package). Even the Sizzix site was sold out. FYI. And TFS!!!ReplyCancel

Thanks Beca, I have often admired your sense of design and wondered how you were able to set the cards up in such a nice easel. LOL it wasn’t an easel at all but a candle holder. You are a frugal lady.ReplyCancel

Thanks for letting us know the names of the embossing folders used in those cards. I didn’t realize you used embossing folders and chalked it up to how clever you are. And I love the butterfly card. My favorite stamp has the quote, “Just when the caterpillar thought the world was coming to an end it became a butterfly.” Thanks a million.ReplyCancel

Becca, for anyone looking for the Tonic paper cutters, Joanne’s had them online at a fraction of the cost in other places. I now have the 12 x 12 and the 12 x 6 and am hoping for straighter cuts. I love the removable handles – makes it easier to find a spot for them. Your site is going to send me to the poorhouse! I’m now hooked on JustRite stamps, Our Daily Bread items, etc. :)ReplyCancel

I think you do beautiful cards and items. I do have one complaint though and it has to do with the stand/candle holder. I think the holder in and of itself is beautiful but it always distracts me from you work. I prefer when you display the items with out it and then I am not distracted. I am probably the only one but I have been wanting to mention this ever since you stated using it. I just love your work and just think it actually takes away from it. Just my opinion.ReplyCancel

    Hi Becca:
Question: I am looking for the Corners and Damask embossing folder. And the one that is coming up is not the same design. This question is for anyone who may know the answer. Thanks

And I feel just the opposite about the stand. I love it! From the first time you started using it. In fact I have been looking for one similar to it. I think it adds to the elegance of the picture. Just my opinion!ReplyCancel

  • VivaceApril 19, 2011 - 3:29 pm

    Hi Becca,
I love those cards! And I must say: I love the holder you use. It is so elegant. I think it adds something special to the picture you take. I have been looking for one ever since you started using it. I love it.

Also, the embossing folder you mention is actually the Corners and Lattice Set by Sizzix. I found the Corners and Damask and realized it was not the same design. So I hunted and found the one you use. Gorgeous! Thanks so much!ReplyCancel
