Happy Friday Sweet Friends!! I hope you have lots of R&R planned for the weekend. I do have a new card to share today and in view of all the festivities, pomp and grandiosity of the day I thought I would dress up my card, so my card is donning a feather. My daughter asked why I would make such a highfalutin card! Over the past couple of days there has been so much talk of “fascinators” and feathers and such that, I thought, why not? Feathers are kind of fun and you can’t get away with using them every day! I’m using one of the April releases from JustRite Stampers called Signs of Life from their Cling Collection. The sentiment was desgined to match Spellbinders Labels Three and It fits perfectly with enough room to layer it up :-)
My medallion is made from Spellbinders Parisian Motifs followed by Spellbinders Labels Three, Spellbinders Labels One SM, Spellbinders Labels One and finally one more layer of Spellbinders Three :-) That’s about all for today. I’m out the door to take care of some business – where in the world did the week go?
SUPPLIES I USED |
Stamps: JustRite Stampers – Signs of Life Paper: My Minds Eye, Coredinations, Bazzill Ink: Colorbox Chalk Ink – Chestnut Roan Accessories: Spellbinders Parisian Motifs, Spellbinders Labels Three, Spellbinders Labels One SM, Spellbinders Labels One |
Blessings to you all, I’ll see you soon!!
That’s one beautiful card. Thanks for sharing.
really an “over the top” card, becca! Goes perfectly with the royal wedding – saw some really strange concoctions on women’s heads this morning there!
Love the feather….talk about classy….my first glance gave me the impression of the roaring 20s….How fun….
Your card is soo gorgeous Becca. As always you´ve just made a masterpiece, and I truely believe, that you´re the layering queen. You just makes the most awesome layerings, I´ve ever seen anywhere, and I so love them all. You´re just such a talented girl, and I´m sooo envious on that skill ha ha ha.
Have a wonderful week-end hun and lots of fun.
Usually I’m just a slient reader but this card is just beautiful. Thanks!
Oh wow, oh my…. I don’t know what else to say but “beautiful”!
Wow, I don’t believe it! I actually have all the Spellbinders dies that you used on this card! LOL!! I just got the Parisian Motifs last weekend… my LSS had gotten in all the newest from Spellbinders recently so I splurged and bought both the Parisian Motifs and the Parisian Accents (thank gooness my LSS takes Archivers coupons!). Last week I had splurged on the Floral Doily Motifs… so I’m hoping to get the Doily Accents to finish off that set if they still have them in stock next time I can go back. I don’t have the same stamps, but that’s OK.
Your card is beautiful as always. Thanks for sharing all of your beautiful work!!!
Love the feather! It looks very royal and regal! Just right for today. TFS!

Love the card, Becca! I got up at 4:30 to watch the Royal Wedding and I was just showing my husband pictures on the net of the hats and telling him that they are called “fasinators”. And then I got the notification of your newest card and there you were, talking about fasinators! Too funny!

Beca, your cards are so beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing
Becca, another beautiful card. But can you tell me where you find the pins you use? What are they called? I have looked all over for pins with the caps on the point and can’t find them. I even explained to a person at Michael’s what I wanted and they just looked at me kinda funny! I suppose you then add your own beads. Please help! Thanks
Double wow! Feathers! And so elegantly nested under the bling. This is a card royalty would be proud to get. You have outdone yourself.

Becca, your daughter has it right! But besides ‘hi flalutin’, it’s also elegant and gorgeous! Sounds like your daughter is close by, where you get to see her & enjoy her a lot. I’m so happy for you, if that is so. And I hope she has inherited your wonderful gift of creativity, and the 2 of you can enjoy crafting together.

Becca,
I’ve really enjoyed your youtube videos, especially on tying ribbons. As a lefty, I’ve struggled with this and your technique was easy to follow. Please also keep posting your cards, the are totally superb!

Such a beautiful card and i LOVE the feathers! Did you make your hat pin and if so where did you find the thing to put on the end? I have experimented with making my own with things from the beading department but haven’t found the protective end peice. I just read through the other commnets and I saw that another person also asked this question. If anyone reading this has an answer please post!
