ODBD – Your Path – SC198

What a wonderful sketch offered for the SCS Sketch Challenge, SC198.  I had embossed round vellum piece laying on my craft table and once I saw the weekly sketch, I knew it would be perfect to use.  I’ve chosen a sentiment from the Footprints In the Sand set offered by Our Daily Bread Designs.

This card proved and be quick and simple.  Perfect for a nite that I stayed up too late watching TV, lol!  The round vellum piece was embossed and pierced following an Ornare template (Keep an eye out at ODBD, this Ornare Template and several others will be available for purchase very soon!!).  I decided the base of the card would be pre-dotted gold paper from The Paper Company, and the horizontal square panel is shimmery coral from The Paper Company as well.  By the way, that ribbon is gold!

Don’t forget to peek at my post from yesterday…there is great blog candy offered by Our Daily Bread Designs.  A winner will be picked on Saturday, October 18th.

Supplies:
Stamps:  Our Daily Bread Designs
Paper:  The Paper Company, 140 lb Watercolor
ink:  Versamark (Ivory Embossing Powder)
Accessories:  Circle Nestie, Ornare Template, Pearls, Ribbon, Wing Charm

I hope you’ll stop by again!  It certainly makes my day!

Another beauty! You’re so good, you buy products and you put them to use creating gorgeous cards. I buy “stuff” and stash it away and forget about it. I’m such a copy cat, now I want to pull out my ornare templates and give them a try! That gorgeous vellum piece would be so pretty with roses.ReplyCancel

Good Evening, Becca – the wanderer has returned. I have been having a lovely time playing catch-up with all your beautiful projects – and they are amazing as usual. This is such a beautiful card – the vellum is so eyecatching. I have also been browsing the ODB site looking at all their beautiful stamps and feel I must have a go at stamping again- their products are so, so lovely and the text stamps would obviously be so easy to use- I really am tempted. I also found your tutorial on box making so straightforward to follow – I do hope you continue to make more for us. Thank you so much for your inspiration.ReplyCancel

Hi Becca – thanks, I needed this verse today. Was thinking on it yesterday (since I FINALLY got my October sets)…in regards to our last few weeks as a family – how sometimes God leads us in a direction only asking us to trust Him and not showing us His purposes, just assuring of His presence. So cool, and that verse is a great example.

I linked you on my blog the other day, just FYI! Had corner-punched around an oval, and linked to your tutorial. So cool! I have a Fiskars self-healing mat and it has lines at 45 degree angles for quilters – I just lined up my piece on that rather than folding.

Gorgeous as always! I saw that embossed vellum and I knew this was your card — didn’t even have to look at the stamp or your name — the first a giveaway, but the second a dead giveaway! (and you thought I was just another pretty blog stalker!)ReplyCancel

    Oh Becca…
This card is absolutely lovely…but, I am curious as to what you used to emboss the velum piece and how you obtained the circle in the middle of the velum…it’s just beautiful….thanks for letting us drool one more time! Hugs, DustyReplyCancel

I come to your web site daily and get inspired by the beautiful stuff you create. Unfortunately, I think I’m a lot like Jerri Kay, I buy stuff and stash it away. I’ve got a special place for all that I buy, it looks good and very organized, but that’s it……it doesn’t get used, so sad. I’m going to keep coming back here and hopefully at least make a copy of one of your cards.
Thanks for all the inspiration you offer thru your blog, you use the gifts that God gave you beautifully.
