Your Plans to Succeed

Hi there.  I’ve been wanting to play around with the new sets from Our Daily Bread Designs.  This month one of the sets centers around sentiments for graduates.  Can you believe it’s that time of year already?  I pulled this card together using the As You Graduate set.  I wanted to overstamp the stenciling with the Spellbinders™ Rose Blossom so I used a juicy ink pad and embossing powder.

I nestled the scenery stamp behind the roses cutout.  The card is embellished on the side with a Martha Stewart border punch and Spellbinders™ Classic Scalloped Borderabilities® Petite.  I landed a little scrolly element from Spellbinders™ Symbology One underneath the bow for a little interest.

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Our Daily Bread Designs – As; You Graduate
Paper:  Lasting Impressions, Bazzill, My Minds Eye, Strathmore 140lb White Watercolor Paper
Ink:  Versafine – Black Onyx
Accessories:  Spellbinders™ Rose Blossoms, Spellbinders™  Scalloped Borderabilities® Petite, Spellbinders™ Symbology One, Ribbon, Pearls

That’s it for me today and tomorrow is Mother’s Day – I hope you and your loved ones have a happy one!

Your card is beautiful Becca. your double bow looks super.
I love the idea of having the stamped background image in black and white and then the coloured spellbinders frame coloured. Very nice.

I have this die and haven’t used it much – not sure what to do with it, other than the obvious, but I sure like what you’ve done here! How did you manage to cut off the rest of the die?!ReplyCancel

Yes! I loved that paper too, Becca! Complete name is “Linen Closet.” Think the odd name is why I first looked at it, and WOW! Always enjoy your cards and the wonderful things you think up to do with the SBs.
