Top of the morning to you blog friends!! You can’t see me smiling but just know, I am. Although I haven’t been around very much there’s lots of behind the scenes work that I needed to do, so I’m a happy camper when I can share stuff that’s been sitting in a pile in the corner of the room. Today we’re introducing Spellbinders Custom for JustRite – Lacey Tiers; its one of the dies that sold out with my Kit Club and people wanted more so JustRite brought them back. The cool thing is, it is available right now and it’s not bundled with anything else. I wanted to share card making ideas for an anniversary card using Lacey Tiers, Spellbinders Timeless Rectangles and uses a sentiment from JustRite Papercrafts called Large Elegant Sentiments.
Here’s your Step-by-Step Recap: From the bottom up, Card base 6-1/4″ x 6-1/4″, foam tape, blue matting layer 6-1/8″ x 6-1/8″, die cut layer using 2 Timeless Rectangles, foam tape, blue matting layer 5″ x 5″, cream matting layer 4-7/8″ x 4-7/8″, foam tape, die cut frame using three Lacey Tiers borders staggered, in center die cut layer using circle left over from Lacey Tiers Border and circular motif from Lacey Tiers stacked. Add flowers and seam binding. Banner is hand cut and lattice element from Lacey Tiers is sandwiched in the middle.
My next project is a gratitude journal….if you received this kit, then this was one of the projects you made. It features Melissa Frances products and is essential a decoratively covered book with journaling pages inside and measures 6″ x 6″. It’s held together by two metal rings and threaded on a sweet vintage metal hanger. The front cover made using Lacey Tiers and the sentiment is from Filigree Journal Covers. You get that stained glass like motif when cutting with only the large round die. I layered the border motif on top and popped this combination up on foam tape and a gathered crepe paper flower on top along with added a bow and pearls.
There are lots of wonderful samples for you to see today. I hope you can pop in and visit these ladies.
Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you take a couple of minutes today and treat yourself to getting crafty :-)
Sweet Blog Friends, first of all let me say thank you for all the surveys that are coming in. Please know these are simple questions just to check and see who’s out there. I like to think I know readers preference, many of you email me. It has been a while since we have done a poll of any sort, but you should know that if there are no software conflicts, Polls are going to resume again. Also I had to smile when I read your comments, Layer Recipes are coming too. They will be added slowly but they will come. In the meantime I wanted to share a couple of card making ideas. Starting with the first – it uses new Spellbinders dies – in the nick of time to start my Christmas stash. This month JustRite Papercrafts released Grand Christmas Sentiments – very nice sized Christmas salutations (2-1/2″ across) – I’m using a dressy Merry Christmas!
The new die template is Spellbinders Gold Majesty Circles. I paired it up with Spellbinders Standard Circles SM and Spellbinders Twisted Metal Tags and Accents and on the bottom layer used Spellbinders Gold Labels Four. The small flourish in the flowers is Spellbinders Jewel Flowers and Flourishes.
Here’s your Step-by-Step Recap: Start out with a cardbase 5-1/2″ x 7″, foam tape, red matting layer 5-1/8″ x 6-5/8″, white layer 5″ x 6-1/2″, velvet and silk ribbon, die cut layer using Gold Labels Four (reserve inner circle), foam tape, die cut layer using Gold Majesty Circles, die cut layer using Standard Circles SM, die cut layer using Twisted Metal Tags and Accents, red organza ribbon, Jewel Flowers and Flourishes for flower.
My second card is a little bit of a tease. After my kit club was done, I can’t tell you the number of crafters wrote to JustRite Papercrafts trying to get the corner dies – they sold out with Kit. So, JustRite pulled them back into manufacturing and they are available to ship right now ( I know, enabling). I’m tickled because it was one of my favorites to design – they are Spellbinders Custom Progam for JustRite Filigree Corners Dies. I paired it up with Spellbinders Floral Ovals and Spellbinders Classic Ovals LG. The sentiment is another from JustRite Papercrafts called Special Gifts Labels Twenty Nine.
Here’s your Step-by-Step Recap: Start out with a cream cardbase 5-1/2″ x 7-1/2″, die cut layer using Classic Ovals LG, foam tape, die cut layer using Floral Ovals and Classic Ovals LG cut at the same time, inside oval stack foam tape and smaller Floral Oval, foam tape, small Classic Oval LG. On corners add Filigree Corner Dies. If you are curious how to make large card bases for a card like this one be sure to see my tutorial on Spellbinders Filigree Hinged Card Bases.
Today’s card is relatively simple but I must tell you the JustRite Design team is primed to show this one off tomorrow along with a new stamp set from me. So when you sit down with your coffee or tea tomorrow morning, come visit me :-) Hang on tight, it’s going to be a busy week!!
Hugs friends! Don’t forget to pop over to read this long post to leave a comment, and my ‘I Need Your Feedback Blog Candy.

Yes, I’m offering 20 Clear Storage cases for dies for free, to a winner who will be chosen by comment number with Random.org. I hope you’ll leave me some candid feedback. I’m soul searching! The backside of my blog is being rearranged and redone and in the midst of all the renovation I decided to take the many reader suggestions I get, to heart. To make sure I’m headed the right way, I simply need to ask a couple of questions. Here’s what I’m working on… This past April I started an overhaul of my blog. With luck, in the next week or so I’ll be able to take down the ‘coming soon’ sign. You’ll come to a place that’s a little bit easier to maneuver around, it will be much more search friendly and I hope that I’ll be able to find the things you ask me for. This kind of change comes hard for me, but it’s time.
It all started so innocently; I was months into the redo then I had to write a pretty detailed bio back in June (someone will ask, you can read it HERE). I had to dig deep and talk about what I do and more importantly why. So many things have changed over the years but haven’t changed on my blog; I was immersed in introspection. Before I knew it, I was standing in front of the mirror asking myself, What are my goals? What do my readers want? Am I being authentic? I lifted the lid of the box to reach in and get one teensy-weensy little thing and Pandora literally jumped out. I’ve looked myself up and down, inside and out and the questions continued. Am I honoring my legacy, my personality, the people who stop by to share, my need to give back? The past couple of months have been enlightening – my truth is that I’m growing and now my blog needs to catch up. I discovered that to do this day in, day out, I want to be a little bit more involved with my readers, I need to have fun – and if you come here repeatedly, it needs to be fun for you too!!
No worries, I’m not going anywhere, here’s what that I’ll be leading with:
• The site will be much easier to search!
• I will finally, finally have galleries after two and half years of ‘coming soon’!
• My most popular cards will eventually have downloadable instructions!
• I’ll be sharing some of my favorite digital cut designs that I have designed!
• A surprise in the coming months, requested by many, many readers!
• A commitment to help you make the beautiful things I know you can make!
• License to start again on anything that’s not working!
Here’s where you come in – I value what you think! Reader request is what is driving the majority of the changes I’m making. I’m going to ask five simple to answer, no-brainer type questions. You can leave any comment you like to enter into the drawing but it would be very helpful if you could leave a comment answering all five of those short questions. The drawing starts now and ends on Monday, July 29th at Midnight CST. I’ll announce a winner on my blog on Tuesday, July 30th, 2013. No purchase is necessary; there is one prize and it will be sent to 1 winner selected by comment number (using random.org) from the comments left on this post. Once announced, the reader has 48 hours to claim their winnings by sending their mailing address in the form that can be found by clicking on my Contact tab. You can enter once a day until the end of the drawing – on return visits no need to answer the five questions again, feel free throw in things you’d love to see here.
Here are the questions:
- Do you come to amazingpapergrace to see or learn?
- How often do you like to see simple, minimal layer cards here – often, as much as any other card or rarely?
- Are you open to using digital paper in your crafting?
- Are you open to using digital cut files in your crafting?
- What would you like to see here on amazingpapergrace?
Your comment might look like this: 1. Learn 2. rarely 3. no 4. yes 5. More Tutorials
That’s it, easy peasy!! In the meantime I do have lots of projects coming!! Now that CHA is almost over, I can share them here!!
In the spirit of full disclosure, I wanted to let you know that the clear cases and shipping were purchased by me because I’m a very happy customer of Tapeonline.com and wholeheartedly recommend them. As a result, I’ve linked to reviews on this item and their customer service so that you can judge for yourself. The prize is 20 empty clear dvd sized cases and the shipping to get them to you, open internationally.

Gorgeous, both of them!
Truly beautiful as your craft work always is Becca. A remarkable talent.
Another beautiful card. You really are amazing. I want to thank you for the wonderful idea about organizing your ribbons. I have cardstock that is used for backing comic books that collectors use. It is the perfect thickness to use for wrapping fat quarters etc. I have spent the last few days cutting it and wrapping my ribbon around the pieces.
I am so happy to finally have a way to store ribbons that actually works.
Thank you for sharing.
WOW!!!!!!!!!! HOW CREATIVE & GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!:)
